Okay one tip I’ll give you is to use your tail more when you’re strafing anything your tail is much easier to connect hits without taking as much damage as you do to the face. Remember there is a headshot multiplier in the game. The reason you lost your fight against the Rex was for this reason. Another tip, stop letting stuff charge bait you like the concs did. Basically instead of using your charge to close the distance and hit your opponent sprint towards them and then as you get close hit them with the charge. This give you more time to reposition and stay parallel to the target so you’re guaranteed to hit them. Otherwise you’ll loose fights against larger prey most of the time or even things your size especially yuty. You have to remember that pycno is a strafer (hit and run fighter) you don’t have to facetank everything unless you’re pt Rex or eo trike. Pycno now does passive damage making it slightly overpowered for its size because if things do bite or hit your tail not only can you trade with a tail attack but they also take a very small portion of damage just from hitting you cera is the same way. Other than that you’re above average for sure keep up the work.
@@Jeskio420 for sure bro you play very well. I just came across this Channel that same day. My friends always tell me “not everyone tries as hard as you” so I don’t mean to sound super critical. When I first typed this up I was like half asleep haha. Anyways my main point was certain Dino’s especially alio and pycno have an intended playstyle. Everyone fights different but my method for pycno and alio is literally exhaust everything I fight. Honestly as I though about it I fight like that against most things as any Dino. So yeah, the most important thing I was trying to say is with pycno you can abuse how the charge mechanic works. If you close the distance with your target by just sprinting you can hit them with charge at anytime. For example let’s say you’re on the Rex’s tail and he’s just tail attacking you or attempting to precise turn. Bite it one twice nice than hit him with charge. But the idea is to save the charge for when you’re guaranteed to hit them. The reason for this is when doing the charge animation your turn radius gets worse so this is essentially a tip to work around it. The other thing I was gonna tell you is idk if this is semi real or not but if it’s not pycno has a pretty low combatweight for it’s size. So in short I recommend anything like allo, dasp or larger tailride and while you’re at close distances charge. Big reasons for this is also prevent yourself from wasting stam, taking excess damage etc. The other thing I see a lot of people do is waste stam, this game revolves around stam management and even now as I almost have 9k hours I still sometimes throw fights because I forget to let off of toggle sprint. The best tip I can give you is if your target is running you should be and if they’re not you shouldn’t be.
I love this guy's precision and accurate shots. Such an underrated channel imo. edit: Btw, you were in groups. Make sure to ungroup while fighting for damage buff.
Pycno also does reflect damage! The greter the difference in combtweight thegreater the reflect damage. Ive had jucies kill themselves biting me while sitting down lmao!
Just to confirm, the knock back restarts it’s hunker down cooldown? Aka counts as it moving? And I’m guessing once it’s actually hunkered knock back doesn’t work until it moves again?
@@frank2510 oh yeah I love soloing anos as any dino any day lol I have a couple of videos doing it, the server I play on also doesnt mod stats so I would love to see more official dino players fighting anos more often, you dont NEED a group to fight them :]
only thing I would change on this build is using balanced subspecies, the -defense on a really squishy animal makes me very uncomfy lol even tho I started out with +attack for the "the isle" carno looks, I feel better with balanced and also dont mind its looks lol just the horns on +attack tho look NICE lol
Balanced works well with this build. The main reason I chose attack was because pyncos have to rely on the charge, so might as well max the damage. Balanced still works well
They didn't change the pycno with the new update. Correct me if I'm wrong and tell me please. I main pycno. Nothing has changed. Pycno is either OP or a pushover depending on who's playing. Takes finesse. Long distance runner is better imo. You won't be turn fighting people anyway, and when 3 kentros start chasing when you're solo, you will die without marathon runner. Are you playing official or community? I see you losing a ton of growth now that I've watched further, meaning you play on community. Can't subscribe to a community person, sorry.
@@Jeskio420 i had a deinocheirus that was over 6months old, fought gigapairs, rexpairs etc...i came up against a pair of pycnos 2days ago and they basicly shrugged of every claw attack and i hit many of them, the fact that that charge headbutt has no cooldown and does such high dmg is just as unbalanced as the ano was b4 they fixed it...a full dd duck should not be easily blendered by 2pycnos facetanking it,thats just bs especially since devs removed ducks bleed completely.cant help but feel ripped off by that stuff ngl, medium dinos like the pycno and allos etc are getting buff upon buff while the apexes get nerfed to oblivion...they should either lower pycno hp to 400so its equal with sarco, put a 5second timer on charged headbutt or drastically lower its stamina and staminarecovery.
This game fun to watch but not to play,I often solo because every time I want to join group they often target me even same species. So I quit this game.
@@BryanDileskiMusic not flat out lying, pynco did get buffed with the gripping claws, the 20% faster turn rate and 15% longer stamina plus the solo ability which makes you do 10% damage more while solo. Now you could go a full stamina build or agility build if you take away tail and replace it with the better turning. I will admit I don’t know if it was 1.41 or the one before it
I was thinking of using it, but pyncos bite and headbutt do low damage, so it’s basically adding salt to the wound. That’s why I rely on charge so much, it does something like 110 damage I think
@@Jeskio420 its bite definitely helps in my opinion for damage when you can use it, but yes the charge is 100% its main attack lol Ive tried trikes as pycno and it didnt go well, but I could get them really low sometimes, and those little extra bites and tail hits definitely helped lol
I like how Pycno is FAR from op yet there’s idiots that will see the clickbait title and go “I completely agree.” THE GUYS NOT EVEN PLAYING THE NEWEST UPDATE EITHER FFS! 😂
@@Jeskio420 Have you ever even fought a decent Kentro as a Pycno? Because if the people in the video are any indicator of what your opponents skill levels are then it’s clear you haven’t.
Pynco is op, pyncos can counter anos, they can beat Allos, you can also see that I was extremely close to killing a Rex solo, they also do 110 damage with their charge, if you know what your doing pynco is scary but you have to be good. And what does ganking mean?
Live isn't fair.. or do you believe that dinos back in the Jurassic where like.." oh no Bro, we are 3v1, that's not fair dude, I'll only watch, let's keep it fair"😅😂😂
3v1 as a Rex is fair, the Rex just needs to be good. Plus he was also backed on the wall And why are you comparing the gaming beaver, who has 4 million subscribers and does RU-vid for a living, to me, who doesn’t even have 1% of his subscribers
