Pyramid Style 100 Second Countdown Clock

This is my take on the Pyramid countdown clock used in the bonus round, except I am made it 100 seconds instead of 60. Special thanks to Michael Tiller for making the sound file....not 100% total sync with the sound and countdown, but to me, CLOSE ENOUGH.

Nothing says "80s game show" to me like the "GLINK, GLINK" sound of this timer, and sometimes beeping like that is the best way to build suspense.

@SuperGamer7 : You could play the original bonus game of "Chain Reaction", make it 10 answers in 100 seconds. It had this same sound effect as Pyramid; it would work perfectly

Here's the scoring format I would use if there were 10 subjects in the Winner's Circle to be guessed within 100 seconds: 1st-4th = $50 5th-7th = $100 8th-9th = $150 10th = $200

Interesting. I've read that Bob Stewart originally wanted 10 subjects in the bonus round when he first created the game. Instead, it shortened to six when wins proved to be almost impossible, and a huge piece of plywood just covered up the bottom row.

I would do it this way: 1st box $50 2nd $100 3rd $150 4th $200 5th $250 6th $300 7th $350 8th $400 9th $450 10th $500 They went up in $50 increments on the $25K/$100K versions. Top prize would be $10M if it was me. First attempt would be for $10K of course, Second would be $25K of course, third would be $50K, fourth would be $100K. The standard tournament format of the past would apply for the $10M and show would be an hour.

I would use 250,500,750,1000,2000,3000,4000,5000,7500,10000

Wo,when pyramid first started there was 10 boxes with 60 seconds you got only 6 seconds to spend on each. The producers found a flaw the stuck a peice of plywood over them painted it gold,bam problem solved. 10 will not work unless you put more time on the clock. Oh & make the show longer

well it would be a challenge if there was a bottom row of 4 "things that" boxes instead of the normal 6, worth maybe 1, 5, 10, 25 respectively?

I was wrong. My bad. The actual oldest video ever was "Me at the zoo" by Jawed Karim who is the co-founder of RU-vid in 2005.

@darthchaosofrspw2009 I think 100 seconds would be better if there were 10 subjects because 90 seconds would eliminate the average of 10 seconds per subject, don't you think?
