FUN FACT In the game itself, the Lone Ministrel can play any of these songs for you. HOWEVER, as he only has one instrument, he plays a version that only includes a lute. Amazing attention to detail right there.
This is why I love this company, they make amazing music for every game they put out, and they are aware that the music is a major selling point so they actually release it on youtube. All game developers should do this. I have the bastion and transistor OSTs on my ipod, I'll definitely get this one too.
Side notes: In the flame sounds like it would belong in a disney film, ashley as always had a good voice in all three games, and it is good to see Darren Korb's voice become more attuned over time.
Metalhead Forlife i bought the game with the soundtrack, then because i was at work fiending to listen to it and i meant to get it anyway went and bought the physical cd along w download code. think i did them a solid or two. ;) now to fucking get home and play some before i pass out.
Truth. It's why I love Supergiant. Their art and music has always been top tier, but with each game they put out they steadily get better in the gameplay department too. They're easily one of the best devs in the business. Really staggering that they can make such high quality games with such a small team.
@@ryannightingale6520 The concept was a bit of a hard sell. Storywise its amazing, but being a weird football-adjacent sports game was an odd deviation from their past 2 combat-oriented action rpgs.
@Gyrono an odd and unique concept yes. I wouldnt mind seeing Supergiant come up with another unique concept for a future game, but i understand that sadly that could also potentialy result in another hard sell, so i guess i shouldnt get my hopes up
Seriously you guys? It is monetized. You can buy it on steam 9.99. or packaged in the deluxe edition. Better to buy it on their page direct though also 9.99 but that way steam doesn't take 30%, so SGG gets more of your buck for the bang.
You guys at Super Giant are amazing. I just finished Transistor again and I confirmed its my favorite game you guys have made. Its beautiful and incredibly engaging. You guys have an awesome music department! Its like you guys make banging tracks for any game you create even going back to Bastion! Keep it up guys!
I just finished my play-through of Pyre, even though I'm a huge supergiant games fan I always tend to pick up games on sales instead of hyping too much so that's why I'm late. I could talk for days how much I love this game but I won't do that, just came to talk about In the Flame. Having watched the trailer I fell in love with the song and started listening to the full length song even though I hadn't played the game yet. As I know music have a great part in supergiant games I was very strict not to listen to the released OST as I wanted the game experience to be untouched. Yet I spammed In the Flame to the extent that it wasn't awesome anymore. But, when the moment for In the Flame to be played in the game I got the biggest chills I've ever had. Also first time I didn't SHIFT across the open sky, but took a slow final journey through the Downside. Epic.
I still listen to the Bastion OST to this day, and hearing this soundtrack now just blows my mind. I would pay supergiant to just make only music based on how amazing they are at it.
Love Never to Return playing during the Ascension match, really feels like the stakes are high because you want to redeem one of your characters, even if you lose them forever.
Just wanted to say I loved the OST so much I looked into buying it digital but then I saw the bundle on your Steam page and decided to go with that :) I was gonna wait to play it but the music drew me in! Cheers!
When I started the game, went into the settings and was greeted with a duet of Ashley and Darren I knew why I decided to get the game. Another masterpiece by Supergiant Games and, oh my, what a soundtrack we have at hand again!
i watched my girlfriend play through this game some months ago and i keep coming back here to listen to this beautiful ost it means so much to me and brings back memories :3
The song that pumped me the most in the game was thrash pack, it really perfectly matched the dissidents and the situation. But the whole soundtrack is simply great and the way it is featured in the game with it adding and withdrawing instrumental layers depending on the circumstances and perspectives. Also, i really loved the implemenation of the team themes into the liberation rite theme.
Anyone else feel like Song of Mourning is about the Minstrel? Not the bride of course, but the "he" in the song. Singing songs throughout the valley... Also his background is basically a mystery, so anything could work.
Transistor me encanto, si este juego es de los mismos desarrolladores definitivamente devo provarlo. No e visto otra compañia que le meta ost tan buenos a sus juegos.
the mere fact that you get the choice to either have him ramble on or shut him up without any consequence speaks volumes for the love supergiant have put into this game! Graitaish!
I haven't finished the game yet but I love this OST and love to listen to it again and again till 1:26:00 hopefully I didn't get spoiled lol Update: glad I wasn't spoiled. The game is EPIC!!! Thanks for all the great work Supergiant Games!
The trailer of the game doesn't make it justice. Nothing you could show of the game makes justice for the quality that Pyre achieved. The level of detail, the intrinsic grasp of emotions that it conveys, the depth of possibilities. The OST echoes that sentiment in every level.
I've been waiting for this all day (it is now 6 pm in my time zone, so all day has been a while)! Now I can listen to the soundtrack while I wait for my boyfriend to come home and let me use his Steam account to download it.
I...just finished the game today. At the end I feel like I got whacked over the head--strongly. THE AMAZING EMOTIONS SUPERGIANT CAN MAKE YOU FEEL IS JUST.....AWESOME!!!!!
Supergiant, showing how solid experimentation + stellar art = a winning formula for humble-sized devs. I'm skipping Pyre personally, but I look forward to their next project!
From what I've listened those are the songs with singing: In the Flame [0:00 - 3:09] Mourning Song [29:19 - 30:31] Vagrant Song [1:07:32 - 1:10:06] Never to Return [1:28:19 - 1:32:17] Bound Together [1:44:57 - 1:51:09]
Great soundtrack. Great music vocals by Ashley Barrett and Darren Korb. Does this include the extra songs not in the game that the album advertises? Which ones if so?
Just finished this game two days ago. It was such a different game and honestly a pretty different OST from Bastion and Transistor, but the differences didn't wind up being a bad thing; I thoroughly enjoyed the whole game :D. It kind of lost my interest about half way through, but I can't stop thinking about the art and the world and the characters even though I finished it haha.
I bought the game based on the fact that SuperGiant put a full soundtrack on RU-vid for free. Also, Bastion and especially Transistor were awesome. How do they do it?!
New Union (1:42:26) has some pretty heavy Transistor vibes (Old Friends in particular). Is that meant to imply that Cloudbank is post-revolution Commonwealth?
Supergiant should be an example for other game companies...wow releasing the ost almost the same time as the game... pls stay like this... your soundtracks are so awesome
I just bought the game. From trailers I couldn't figure out what it's about and I wasn't sure if such a "sports kinda game" is something for me but it's cool!
Something is seriously wrong with guys at supergiant, most companies will go crazy and copywrite strike everyone who uploads OST. But good guy supergiant themselves uploads the entire OST on YT just for fun. You guys freaking rock!
