I like the idea of Petscop 2 being a sort of time capsule of pyro's different era's, with parts of it being made and filmed at different times in Pyro's career

I think it's been said that he's had to scrap like, 4 videos worth of petscop 2 content because so much gets added that it takes awhile, so like, probably in the next 7 years, maybe. (Source: I read it in some Pyrolive video comment section or smth, so the authenticity is to be taken with a tablespoon of salt at the very least.)
@@tomutoo I mean, probably. I don't blame him at all if he lost interest. Pyrocynical fans are annoying when it comes to the repetitive jokes, so I can see how he'd find it not worth anymore.
I can see him going back and just going the entire arg, recapping everything from 1-10 too it would (will?) be a stupid long video but that's his style lately
I feel like the petscop 2 vid will go one of two ways, one being hum going over the ones he didn’t cover in his first video, or him remaking it to be around the utopia video length and going more in depth of things.
Unironically, I've been asking for Petscop 2 since the first Petscop video came out. I havent rewatched it since my first viewing because I want to rewatch it before the sequel.

It is crazy how long it's taking... but to play devil's advocate, no petscop analysis videos I've been able to find ( Over the past 7 years ) have covered passed the latter half of petscop. Tbh, I don't blame them really... most of petscop's latter half is so incredibly hard to figure out compared to the early days of "Petscop is about Tragic Tiara Adoptee". The only petscop analysis I've ever seen that covered all of petscop was really shitty. Once things became more vague past episode 12 or so, he basically said all of petscop is a metaphor for "late-stage capitalism" ( For those who don't know late-stage capitalism is basically a critique of capitalism, that states capitalist society inevitably degenerates to fascism and general dysfunction ) It's safe to say that's definitely not what petscop is about...
Man I just saw the ending, and I gotta say, not even 2 seconds in and I knew right off the bat that it was Pompeii lol. ALSO this video is amazing dude. Like, wow that's dedication. You actually worked on this for four years! That's crazy!

Im expecting you to make a part 2 in the future, given the whole gag's length its been running on, it certainly will keep going. As long as its not longer than 4 hours of footage that is. ;)
I get that it's been 6 years and it's never happening, but did he ever give a genuine statement on why he won't make it? Is he genuinely annoyed with people asking? Because the thing is. It only shows the immense love people had for that video, it may not be his most viewed, but probably most beloved, talked about, memorable and asked for. Also he baited and promised petscop 2 a million times too, so of course people ask. I don't think any community has wanted something more. I still think about it 6 years later. Which is insane, the legacy it left. He went from a run of the mill commentary channel to one of the most legendary video essayists on youtube. He became one of those creators which you wait months or a year for a video, and when it drops you religiously savour the enjoyment of watching a video the length of a movie or more.
i think if he didn't want to make it he would have said it straight up, probably tried to, we're past the threshold of time where it doesnt really matter how much it takes anyways
From what I remember, he said on stream that he was initially working on it, but got blindsided by a boatload of new Petscop episodes which really hammered his motivation then due to the sheer amount of analysis he'll have to do, which then piled on over time as the series went on. Then around the time it actually ended, his interests already shifted towards other games and media, and given the sheer number of games he mentions he wanted to do an analysis on (back then Cruelty Squad and MyHouse.wad, later Fear and Hunger, Entropy Zero 2, etc.) I imagine Petscop 2 is either on the backburner, or generally low on his priority list right now. The fact that Sagan Hawkes has done a full analysis of the series some time ago, and Nexpo has now started a full analysis *may* have impacted it, but that's more unlikely, as stuff like that usually ends up becoming a one-note gag.
