Early member access - woot woot! That's one super-talented student you have there! I loved how you shortened the code from nearly 600 lines to 125 with the same result, but hers is amazing for someone who's only coded for 3.5 months - wow! I don't usually care much for ASCII art, but it worked really well in tkinter, and that's something I haven't seen yet, so right on! Please give your student thanks from this delighted member! P. S. I just have to reiterate how much I appreciate how clear and consistent your naming conventions are. This is one of my pet peeves on other channels, and is one of the big reasons I became such a big fan of yours. And that consistency shows through your students like her, obviously. Thanks again!
Thanks - I'll pass that on! I'm very happy with her progress (and that of my other students as well). For this particular assignment, the students were able to make any GUI program they wanted - the results have been excellent - I'm a lucky teacher! A thousand times this - naming, naming, naming! It is a pet peeve of mine as well. I saw this on Twitter: There are 3 hard problems in computer science: naming and off by one errors.
@@TokyoEdTech Lol. I love that! Sounds like you have a fun job! I know it's not as simple as "fun", but you know what I mean. It's nice to have a job where you can continually measure progress and see your teachings come to life.
This is a great opportunity to play around with local networking and socket programming and make a multiplayer game, that anyone on the same connection with the right python script can play. Once you have that set up, you can even open it up globally to anyone with internet access.

An awesome GUI there. Your student is pretty talented definitely deserves a lot of praise Edit :- instead of using inteagers and designating 1 to rock and so on you can make a list of rock paper and scissors and use random.choice(put list name here). I think will code a be a bit more neat
Idea: make an algrithm that can like a youtube video: another idea: make a game engine with a scene view and a code section and a sprite editor!: another idea! Make a game where you can play as a cat and chase a bird (the cat is the mouse) you chase it

I am always getting the same number once I click the button, can you pls tell me how to avoid that? In my Tkinter window, I have 2 labels that say about the app a button to generate, and the 3rd label just below the button to show the number
