Merging data sets in Excel the right way is done using Power Query, NOT VLookup. And if, for whatever reason, you'd still like to use something like VLookup, the better, newer, alternative is XLookup

In pd.pivot_table, what if I want Runtime(min) & votes as value. One aggregated as avg and other as sum? Great video by the way.

This video should have been perfect 15 years ago. It compares functionalities available in Excel before 2010 with modern Python libraries. Now we have Power Query in Excel for example. And using it you can easily, with just one line of code, do the two bonus cool things that the author of the video pretends can not be done in Excel. They can be done, you just don't know how. Hint - use Table.Profile and Table.Schema functions in Power Query.

A lot of Excel misrepresented here. Have never seem someone sort like that, didn't have her data in a table, used VLookup not XLookup, reference scrolling to the bottom of a sheet when you can just Ctrl+Down or easy formula to select top & bottom, didn't ever mention PowerQuery and the thousand crazy things it can do.

The value of the video is showing a direct comparison of things that are commonly done in Excel and how they can be done in Python. It's useful for someone like me who uses Excel A LOT and wants to switch to Python.
