The pz30 carburetor is strangling my motor

I got mine in and noticed it but this video proves my point .... Then you bust out with the micrometer 😆😆😆 ( 30 mm says the salesman) and you go ahead and prove him wrong..... (Math is math math will always be math you can't change math the numbers don't lie) ..... Pz30b pumper carb is a 22mm carb.....I call highway robbery ....😂😂😂

Yeah it’s off by allot! I see people buying the clone carbs to replace the stock/factory carbs & didn’t really feel that’s fair since it’s absolutely false it’s nowhere near the 30mm carb it’s cloned from

So the cheapest 30mm nibbi I can find on amazon is $73 (silver, not black). So I'm thinking, if 30mm clone is really 26mm, then I could just buy a 32 or 34mm clone and it would be 30mm, right? And it would be half the price of a nibbi.

No the clone carbs are poor quality just search on Amazon for a pe28 you’ll find one that’s the same as a Nibbi but it’s not a Nibbi brand for 40 bucks but 1 carb and be done…73 Bucks for a good carb is a steal I just paid 485 bucks for a new carb for my other bike…the cheap clone carbs will never perform correctly like a proper carb will the tolerances are poor but the choice inevitably is yours to make
@Jboost412
@Jboost412 2 года назад
You also don’t need a 30’mm carb you just need a good 28’mm the Nibbi pe28FL is a direct bolt on carb nothing changes but the carb itself so no intake change no air intake to the air box modification just remove the old carb jet the Nibbi with the flange and drop it on place the bike will run better and the carb will be reliable for years to come & run good while it’s there the Floats slides needle jets etc are all interchangeable with the real keihin PE carbs because they’re such a perfect carbon copy
@Jboost412

There’s nothing wrong per say using a clone carb as long as you know it’s a 25’mm carb everyone thinks it’s a 30’mm and when I say get a true 28mm or 30mm they say “I already have a 30 😂 “ really your just not using everything you have with a 25’mm carb your leaving power on the table….I run a true 30’mm on my bike but I also have the 2nd highest powered CG ever built & i specialize in CG performance parts cams big bore kits custom high flow heads so running a clone carb just ain’t something my bike will support
@Jboost412

Well overall the carburetor itself has nothing to do with elevation changes…a properly dialed in carb should work the same from 4,000ft & down or up to 5-6000 ft roughly until it needs some sort of adjustment to deal with the change but if it works for you I that’s what counts…25mm carbs just are not ideal for performance overall but they work

The pz30 clone & vm26 clone are the same carb stamped with different names though a real VM26 is a really nice 30mm carb the clones are just what they are cheap and good enough

Figured I’d shed some light on how poorly they labeled or named those clone carbs size wise makes no sense they’re called a vm26/pz30 when there’s no resemblance to either carb function or visual 😆

Which carburator would you recommend for a Chinese 250cc that should not rev over 8000. The engine came with a Chinese pz30 and the idle sucks, adjusting mixture screw is a pain. I have upgraded main jet from 36 to 40 and still does not idle great. Some forums say that a Mikuni VM30 does the job, is it true?
@Jboost412
@Jboost412 2 года назад
The Nibbi pe28FL is your best option for a carb that bolts right on the bike just jet it & go all those clone carbs that say pz30 vm26 all say they’re a 30mm carb but they’re not even close it’s a 25mm carb so the Nibbi pe28 FL version bolts right on nice carb easy to adjust

@@Jboost412 Thanks, although it looks like there is no stock of this carb. I was getting my hopes up

They were just available a few days back from Amazon so they should be back in stock relatively quick if they did sell out sorry about that though

@@Jboost412 Okey, thanks. Lets hope so and just order them on stock. Althought thanks for the help. Btw my engine is a Zongshen 250cc, idk if you have carburated these before.

If it won't idle check valve lash on the exhaust side make it a bit loose and make sure you have a 42-45 idle jet and like a 130 main jet also start at 2 turns out on the mixture screw and adjust the idle screw accordingly with your mixture screw PWK30

modding a cg250 is kinda pointless considering that cbs300 and nb300 engine exists

Wondering What its going on? Personally I just don’t like the clone pz30/vm26 my reason is they like to surge at idle randomly needs adjusted for high idle so my personal opinion is the nibbi for overall reliability

Biggest difference is the vinyl and non alcohol resistant crap Chinese carbs use instead of real resistant o-rings/ grommets and gaskets Japan engineered carbs have. Well worth spending 150-200$ on a patented carb. That will give you little problems compared to Chinese crap I will run some Chinese crap but I don’t expect them to last or perform ! Vm 22 -

Lately I’ve been looking around locally to try finding someone that had that setup to do a review on them!! It’s pretty cool setup they can be really hard to tune since it all works off of essentially what would be your needle jet on a conventional carb just referred to as a metering rod I believe is what they’re calling it!! Really expensive though if you end up not liking it so I’m hopeful I can find someone who’s bought one already or currently using it to do some testing with!!

How can I get more speed from my bike it's it's 200cc brand new Chinese bike
@Jboost412

Well kind of a loaded question in a sense as there’s a few different things you could do…what bike is it?
@Jboost412
@Jboost412 2 года назад
Really just depends on the exact bike you have & what’s been done to it currently to get an idea of where you’d want to start with it

@Jboost412
@Jboost412 2 года назад
Well do you have a carbureted Cg200 or a fuel injected? I mean you can use a better carburetor if it’s a carbed bike or you can modify the tune the factory gave you because they always leave more on the table you can change your exhaust add timing with a advance timing key have someone like me who professionally ports heads go ahead and do the head work making more air flow in & out giving you more power really nothing you can’t do…alter the cylinder & piston size making it a 229ish CC displacement not a 200 similar to what I sell for the cg250 bikes making them a true 250 not a 229 any longer so lots of options really
