This was epic. Mine was the question about 17 year old at RASP. I'm a 14 year Navy vet, and his father was a SEAL, so the warrior is in him. He's Option 40 so it's AIT and then RASP. I've been consuming everything about RASP prep to send him since there may not be enough time for him to get insight about the general experience. Every vet he has encountered has simply told him "just don't quit." I told him to make that his mantra. I believe he's got the fortitude and will to make it. You're a gem for dropping these nuggets of knowledge and wisdom for the Brethren coming up. Many Blessings. 🖖🏾

What's 3rd Batt like and i plan on taking up judo and rucking how will that pan out in rasp? Did you know anyone who did judo in the ranger regiment?

Go check out Episode 43 with Shawn, he was a 3rd Batt guy. As far as martial arts go, most guys either boxed or BJJ, but it’s hard to find the time and energy to be consistent at training those during the training cycle. It can be done though

@@zachthedangerranger I have another question it's social media related can post on social media like make small tiktoks or no
@zachthedangerranger
@zachthedangerranger 6 месяцев назад
@@Fooshis01 no it’s frowned upon to post really anything work related while you’re in. TikTok’s would be an especially heinous offense and you’d get your shit pushed in. Know that your team leaders are gonna find your social media accounts and if they’re not private and you’re posting dumb shit you’re gonna have a bad time

@@zachthedangerranger I have another question how many times can I get recycled before I can't go back to rasp? What do you think of programs like the ranger blue print who's catered to help guys like me,and do you plan on posting shorts of you in combat?

Thanks for sharing man. a lot of guys including myself felt that way during the end of the GWOT. I was also a guy that, all my buddies got in crazy gunfights or got Purple Hearts, but somehow I was never in the right place at the right time. That doesn’t diminish the service of those men, it’s not something anyone controls. I know a lot of us that came in during the second half kind of felt like we didn’t get a chance, but you can’t expect every deployment to be “the Somme”

You mention the quality of life being so much better in Regiment. I am joining a little bit older and have a wife and kids. I am coming from a demanding job in law enforcement and my wife understands the military life we are signing up for in general. I have struggled to find anyone talking about joining the 75RR as a husband and father already. I would just be curious if you could elaborate on joining 75RR as a new guy with a family using option 40. I've also considered joining without option 40 or 18x and spending a couple years deciding between the two. Both mission sets are of interest to me but I also have to consider the pros and cons for my wife and kids. Really appreciate any insight you can provide in advance.

Do ranger combat medics do a lot of cqb or do they get sidelined during raids
@zachthedangerranger
@zachthedangerranger Год назад
They train it, but they obviously aren't the primary assault/clearance force. If your medic has to participate in clearance, shit has gone down. They do get the same CQB training as line squads, granted not near the same amount of reps.
