Joe might be quiet…but when he speaks, I listen! I find his humor hilarious…but I love dark dark humor. I’m confident he holds back to stay family friendly lol
I was a charge nurse at a hospital for almost 20 years. The last two directors of my unit had no qualifications, only connections. I loved labor & delivery but in the end, I left and worked at a prison. The leadership was so much more structured and productive. I understand your reasons for leaving the military but want to say…”thank you both for being a part of the team.” I love that you are so forthright with your videos Tina. I feel it shows your honesty thus making your videos interesting, funny and serious when you want to be! Have fun decorating your new cabin, can’t wait to see what you both have in store for all of us.
I too was an RN (now retired) who worked off and on in hospitals. My last hospital job, director of nurses was a lesbian who lived with the director of my floor (surgical) and the director of the medical floor. I didn't get along well with our supervisor, I mainly just tried to stay away from her. This hospital had no " charge nurses" , everyone was responsible for their own patients. I worked with other RN's and LVN's. Toward the end of my tenure there, our supervisor started asking the RN's to cosign or sign off on the LVN's care even though we had no idea what they did or didn't do. I refused to do it because I would then be ultimately responsible legally for the care given. I could potentially be sued for something someone else did and lose my license. The pressure from my director over my decision got so bad I ended up leaving for a job with Hospice, which I loved. It's something I had wanted to do since Nursing school.
Oh you GUYS! Made my day once again! Your 2nd cabin is awesome! I can only imagine the peace and quiet there! Thanks for taking us along on your life journeys! That's great that your daughter and her boyfriend plan to move up to Alaska as well!
I can tell that Joe is so shy but I really appreciate that he puts the effort in to make the videos, but you can tell that he has a great sense of humor with you and that you guys are really great friends. I do look forward to seeing each video every week. Enjoy your life your way.
I agree with everything you said. Joe seems to be relaxing a lot more since retirement and after the move. I'm sure he had a lot on his mind trying to make sure everything went ok. You both are so cute together.
You two tickle me..you had me laughing so much Joe at the end. I think you guys are so perfect together..it's cute as heck to see. I absolutely love your whole family. What wonderful news about Lexi and her bf moving there. I'm very happy for you all. Kellan is a perfect addition to your family. Yay for him and Parker..they look like they are having a blast together. Handsome boys. Hey I'm 58..am I too old to be adopted by yall? Hehe I'm teasing..but you all are very special. Looking forward to the next video. Take care and love you guys❤
Tina I love your videos ❤ and that drawing of the new cabin waoooo it’s going to look so beautiful 😍 and I can’t wait to see your daughter moving over there closer to you guys. Parker is going to be so happy and excited when she gets there. Keep up the good job and keep it coming 😊
I was so glad to hear you say you’re going to homeschool your son. I’ve got a 15 year old daughter and 10 year old son with autism and adhd. Both started out in public school, but a few years ago my daughter started homeschooling. My son is still in public school but I’m dying to pull him out. Just this school year he’s learned so many terrible things from the other kids in his class (and he’s emotionally younger than his actual age which makes it even worse) 😩 Every time I turn around he’s being exposed to things that are perverse or things that are so completely opposite of the way I am trying to raise my kids. He’s on waitlists for 3 private schools in Middle Tennessee that we really like for next year. We live in Florida but are moving out of state to start over & be more self sufficient. Glad I found your channel 🙂
Seriously answered before you! Home school until Graduation! Yes Of course! Asap When we get there Being on the team but not being told what to do (ugh) well maybe ACK! What’s needed ??? Joe u confuse me lol with the scratching your head I mean really! Ok moving on…. Not yet on garden! Too much going on 🤷🏼♀️ No Coop, fun, Joe ummmm a shop Okay gotta go sorry to be so boring 😂
When u build on do a Murphy bed to put away unless u have company that way it's apart of the storage room.. Outta sight outta mind unless u have company 😊
Love the Q & A! I'm so enjoying watching your adventures. At 69, our big adventure was moving to the country 2.5 years ago. I totally get the "used to be the extrovert" to now enjoying my peace and quiet with just my hubby and our cats and chickens. I never expected to love chickens! And I don't care if I never have to leave home. When I do go to the city, it seems like I can't get home fast enough! Thanks for sharing your family and adventure with us!
An Ecoflow system or Bluetti or Jackary would be good for additional power backup. The Ecoflow has systems that can be added to systems. This would save on generator use. Would you consider closing in your front deck??? Does Parker have a bicycle in Alaska???
I am your aesthetic sister. It sets the tone and brings peace, comfort, and beauty into the home. Joe’s cabin sketch for your future building goal makes me excited for you! Building a home is always a work of art and love.
Me and my husband love watching you and your family 💕 lol I have a dog named Marley but now he has a middle name Marley Joe 😂 I caught myself one day yelling Marley joe when I was watching your channel so now he is stuck with it ❣️ lots of love from Arkansas.
Iam 5th generation California. And I agree California has gone to hell. I have lived in Wyoming,Nevada and Fairbanks Alaska for three years, I worked in the lab at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. I loved Alaska and miss it so much. I too am a home body ,iam a quilter so I love to be cozied in and sewing. All my grand babies are grown, but we are helping elderly parents so we can’t move out of california yet but we r looking, can’t wait!! Love your channel, joe is just your normal guy and your just chatty Kathy!! Lol Keep up the channel. God Bless
Well, you never know; if you had another baby, maybe it would be TWINS, ha ha. Then they'd have companionship growing up. Hoping you can keep Kellen, but if not, maybe another adoption situation will turn up. I have a cousin who lives on the Kenai, and after she had a couple of boys of her own she ended up adopting several native girls. There are always children who need homes. It's amazing how things always work out just right when you have faith.
I live in Northern California, born and raised, and I agree...the people running this State have definitely lost their lollies! NO DOUBT! It's a socialist/communist style leadership, trying to pretend the Constitution doesn't exist and they can tell you where and how long to poop. It's insane. We were set to move to Oregon this fall but financial issues have pushed that to next year. It's my father's home state, it's beautiful and I have family there.
Love the chemistry with you two! Glad to hear about Lexy coming to Alaska! Will they be on the homestead or elsewhere? How does Kellen get along with the animals? I love seeing the animals in every video... The bloopers are great....Joe seems so relaxed now, retirement looks good on you guys.. Love you all...keep the videos coming...Oh and loved your podcast this week😍
Love your question and answer videos. I think God is already showing you what his plans are for you guys with another child.I was 28 when I had to have a complete hysterectomy, we had 1 daughter at the time. We very badly wanted a sibling for her. Didn't want her to be raised alone. We put in for adoption and was put on a waiting list after months of paper work and interviews. After 3 years I was losing hope our daughter was getting older . We were also told if a family had no children they would get bumped up a head of us always because we already had 1 daughter. After 3 years out of no where we met a young woman who through a friend of ours found out that we were looking to adopt and she was pregnant going to give her child up for adoption. She chose us herself, so God had his own plans for us. We immediately put her in contact with our lawyer and all paperwork was done properly. At this time she was only 6 months pregnant. Our second baby girl came home with us at 7 days old. Today she is 40 years old. Lol So I do believe God had his own plans for us. I think your plans may have been for Callen. Whatever happens even if you do get pregnant it is all in God's plan. ❤🙏🇨🇦
Re the way you were gifted Kellen in your life, be it for 1 year or forever, its the God's way of giving you solutions that you might not understand just yet.. Even if he's gone after one year his and your experience will tie you together. Best wishes on your journey. ❤
Hi Tina Joe is so funny. I know its hard moving n how Parker feels missing his friends. My husband was in the Police Force and he gets transferred every few years. My son asked me one day when we had to leave again... Mum I miss my friends with tears in his eyes he said, every time i make new friends and then we have to move again. I miss them and they miss me too. It's hard but know that it's part of the life of being in the force or military like you guys. Love your channel n love you all. Love the love you have just like me n my husband, retired now n 39yrs of marriage...still happy n still laughing together. It is a real privledge. With love n prayers for you all. Hugs to the boys💕💕💕
I like channels where the makers have great or unique personalities! Some a have good content, but I get bored with their bland presentations. 9252 life off grid are great for that!
That was a great video, it was a perfect start to my lazy morning after all the chores were done of course. I love the out-takes at the end, still laughing... Hey Joe, you're a jokester. Thanks so much for sharing Tina. Looking forward to your daughter & bf move to Alaska.
I understand what you were saying about leadership or any position of authority. Many of the people in these positions have no business being there. Most of them have no people skills. Sadly, there is little professionalism in the work place today. We can't wait to see what you guys start doing to the homestead come Spring.
I always have a bit of a giggle at how you both bounce off of each other. You’re such a lovely couple, and I admire how you both keep things real. Sending best wishes from Australia. 🥰🇦🇺🦘
Are you going to put a deck of some sort on top of the extension planned for the side of the main cabin… Or will you extend the loft so there will be two bedrooms upstairs instead of the one, I know that you would like to have more children at some time?
Joe you can whip up a box to fit over the genny and put insulation on the inside of the box and put a hole or two for the exhaust to go out. and you have a cover for now till you can build a boh house for them Joe speaks so soft can you please add closed cation. Oh yes you need to have a addition on both sides. or you'll be lopsided and ya can't walk around lopsided.
I must apologize to you Tina, I keep saying about Joe's service and sticking it out...BUT Tina, you pulled your time also...SO, thank you too...thank you both for your service... Now, you get to enjoy your time in Alaska... Robert...
Tina, I’ve been following your journey for quite some time, around 12,000 subs. I don’t really comment that much but it’s so refreshing to see other like minded people (friends 😊) walk the walk and you have been a blessing to me. I love your family and I think we would be besties…just sayin! May God bless and keep you guys. Love, Tonya ❤
We think that stress (moving thousands of miles and retirement / jab worries) may have been a contributing factor in your neck pain. Looking forward to part 2.
Hello Tina and Joe - Really enjoy watching your Down Home / real life Videos. I would like to know IF you could tell WHAT Joe's RATE was in the CG and WHAT his RANK was when he retired ? I am an X-Coastie with many years of sea-duty on the Old weather stations ships. Was Joe a Boatswain mate ? With all his talents - especially being on a buoy tender there in Ketchican, Alaska - and ALL the duties involved serving on one - One gets versed on getting things done.. Will appreciate your reply - either here OR on one of your upcoming videos.
Hi Dennis, Joe was an MK. Machinery Technician. and he retired as an E6. He prob could’ve retired as a Chief but switched branches so many times, he was playing catch up. He also did 6 yrs in the Army & 2 yrs National Guard.☺️
I do love the way Joe smiles when he looks at you. Your hubby jokes with you like mine does me, so I do understand his jokes. I’m just so happy for you and your family. I enjoyed the video! I can’t wait to move to our property in Alaska. We love being away from people too. My husband takes me to this little restaurant in Fairbanks on our way south.
Thank you so much for answering my questions, I'm so happy Lexi is moving back! That's very exciting 😊 I can't wait to see the add on additions to the cabin. Love you guys ❤️ ❤❤❤
You’re a wonderful speaker Tina!!! I enjoy listening to you…..you don’t say “uh” like other speakers….and your information you provide is always interesting. 💕
Hey Tina, I agree that Joe needs a in door work shed. A work shed will keep him from the cold, heat and rain. Yes, Joe did do a wonderful job on the remote cabin video. Joe has a lot of humor 😂. Q & A is great to do, this give your fans a chance to ask questions. I really hate that I miss that Q &, A.😢 Hey those crazy folks out there, girl...... there really going crazy right.... just keep doing what you doing and let them keep flushing themselves in the toilet. Sorry...Mess away belong in the sewage...where it stink. Lol
Hey Lavida! Aw Im sorry you missed that post! I posted it on the RU-vid community wall about a month ago, that I was going to be doing a Q&A, asking for everyone’s questions!❤️ We’ll do more in the future too!☺️
May our all knowing, almighty Father in heaven guide and keep you under His mighty wings always. Thank you for what you do. Love and prayers from the Nevada Desert!🤛🤠
I watched the video what part of Arizona is Joe from and I just wanted to say I think you guys are really nice people and God Bless You I’m just starting to get my faith back I never really lost it but I was in a dark place for awhile after I lost my husband but I’m getting better so thank you. Keep making your videos
Hi Kimberly! Joe was raised in Parker, AZ. ☺️ That’s where we met. One of the wonderful things about the Lord, is he’s always there waiting for you when you’re ready to return to him.❤️❤️
I just love Joe 🤣. His sense of humor reminds me of my husband. They are so much alike I’m that way. I just enjoy y’all so much. Hope you have a great week!
Your green house video was the first video I ever watched of yours. I was so impressed with the craftsmanship it was functional and cute. ❤ thank you both for showing people how to build and you have both have great ideas 💡 👍 God bless you all 🙏
Are you guys going to look into possibly maybe wildberry plants and check the property for wild potatoes stuff like blueberries and stuff like raspberries and strawberries because I'm wondering what the previous owners Manhattan planted but you don't know about yet thank you
Question; Hi Tina and Joe, Just wondering where will your daughter and boyfriend sleep when they move up to Alaska soon? Will they have their own place?
Matthew 7:7-8 King James Version 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.Gods blessings over you!
Talking about the chicken coop when you are spending time at the remote location who will look after the chickens. I love your show and Alaska. Take care.
So chickens are actually super easy!☺️ Being that the coop & eventually their chicken yard will be completely enclosed & predator proof…as long as the chickens have plenty of food/water, they can be left alone for several days. And if we’re going to the remote cabin for 7-10 days, we just make sure they have the appropriate food & water…they have access to their outside chicken yard etc., they don’t need anything else. We left our VA chickens several times when we went on family trips. Chickens don’t require much. Now winter time will be a little different as we have to ensure they have thawed water to drink. But we can still leave for a few days at a time as long as we have a set up to provide thawed water.☺️
Why have you purchased the remote cabin? The two cabins look about the same? I guess you have more average at the remote cabin. Is the land more of an investment?
Hey guys I get Joe personally my man does the same stuff and I love ur personally ur so funny and real and ur a great mom and wife I love watching ur channel 💗

Thank you for this very nice video. Totally agree with you on public schools. They are nothing more than indoctrination institutions. God Bless you both. And again thank you for you're service. Always look forward to the video's. We will be waiting for the next one. Stay safe God bless
Hi Tina and Joe, I live at Western Queensland Australia and sooo look forward to your videos. Such a contrast in our lives, I find our heat unbearable today is 38° F and I would absolutely love to live in your climate. I get your humour Joe, that dry humour of yours would go down well here. Your filming of your magnificent scenery is breathtaking the sun emerging gives me Willie vibes 🎶that lucky old sun got nothin to do but roll around heaven all day🎶 bless you all ❤️
