This is so wonderful. I used to do a lot of bead jewelry work, however my eyes are no longer good enough to thread needles and string the beads. I have a closet-full of all sorts of beads and this is a great way to use some of my beads in combination with my other artwork. Before I found out about you, Sabrina, I completed a collage piece using beads glued over acrylic paints with braid as border. My sister-in-law and niece saw your work at a craft show in Texas and sent me your name to view your work. Your techniques really will help me further my use of the beads, especially the 85%/15% glue mixture which I did not know about on my own. I can't wait to continue! Thank you so much.

What are your thoughts about using the puffy paint instead of the adhesive foam as the "lead" in the pieces?
@beadmosaic
@beadmosaic 2 года назад
I dont like it as a replacement becasue when it drys it is not that puffy and the beads sit on top of it easliy. The look I am going for with the lines is to make it look like stained glass. Having the more defined lines adds to that look. It's also much easier and required a less steady hand to use.

Sabrina, I was wondering whether I could use glass or plexiglass instead of wood and then prop in a window so the light shines through?
@beadmosaic
@beadmosaic 2 года назад
Yes you can, just be careful of the bead types you use. opaque beads will look black. It will also be more pixelated due to all the holes showing with the light shining through. I have done many in the past, but they do not travel well for my art shows as glass tends to break no matter how good the framing is.

What size beads do you provide in the kits? Are they 8/0? (I'm watching the video now so you may answer this later and if so, feel free to ignore :-) )
