We apologize if the audio quality is less than ideal. Despite our efforts to enhance it, the combination of Scottish and British accents with the original low recording quality presented significant challenges. 00:00 - Question: Should I feel guilty when I fail to evangelize? 00:18 - Jeremy Walker's response. 03:09 - Follow-up question and reference to D.L. Moody. 04:00 - Jeremy's response to the follow-up question and a reference to Archibald Alexander's method of evangelism. 05:31 - Tim Conway shares some thoughts on evangelism. 06:57 - Ryan Clarke adds some thoughts. 08:15 - Geoff Thomas adds to the discussion. 09:34 - Mack Tomlinson: Do you pray for divine appointments? 14:49 - Tim: Not everyone is designed for every situation; use the opportunity you have. 17:08 - Mack Tomlinson: How do you build bridges in your relationships? 18:31 - Jeremy Walker gets practical. 19:56 - Geoff Thomas speaks about evangelizing on a plane.

No problem we just need to turn a keen ear. I’m nearly deaf & I did fine. Scottish & Welsh accents are my heritage!

Firstly, there's no Scottish accent here! Ryan and Jeremy have English accents and the man on the right has a Northern Irish accent. And Scotland is in Britain 🙄 Therefore Scots have a *British* accent! There are three countries in (Great) Britain: England, Scotland and Wales and four countries in the UK (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland): England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. [The smallest countries always take the hit when it comes to jokes and scorn, of course]

@@TatumHildebrandThat's a generalization and unfair. Many accents take time to get used to if you're not used to hearing them. And it's been repeatedly found that the clearest accent is found in middle-class Edinburgh or Glasgow. The Queen had a Scottish governess/nanny from and her influence was heard in certain of her pronunciations. And she obviously spoke VERY clearly!

Thank you for this, it brought me much conviction and comfort at the same time. I'm a 20 year old believer in college, and one of the struggles I've had in my faith is to be able to openly share it with others. I've been warring against this people-pleasing thorn in my side that causes me to shrink back in fear. Recently, God has been convicting me more and more about it. I felt despaired by the fact that I keep passing up on opportunities or hesitating on chances to share Him. That shame, by His grace, has slowly washed away, and I am more emboldened nowadays to be open with my faith. But there are still indeed times where I hesitate, and feel that horrible loss of being unable to invite others to Christ. I am grateful for the Lord's mercy upon me, but I feel ashamed to keep abusing it. I long for improvement, to do better in sharing the Gospel, in even just inviting others to church or a service. Please pray for me brothers and sisters-- that I learn to surrender my anxieties and overthinking to the Lord, and increase in compassion for the lost. Thank you 🥹

@@solideogloria6569 They have a false gospel of faith plus works equals salvation. They say up front that it's not by works, but immediately redefine faith as obedience and belief as total commitment. They say stupid double talking stuff like, " faith alone saves but saving faith is never alone." Also they insist that you must repent *of your sins* to be saved. The phrase" of your sins" is never found after the word "repent" anywhere in the King James Bible. Jonah 3: 10, "And God saw their *works* that they turned from their wicked way and God repented of your evil that He would do unto them and He did it not." *Repentance of sins is works.* Furthermore; sin is transgression of the law, therefore, repentance of sins is *law keeping* and is certainly a lifetime of works and has never saved anyone or contributed in any way to salvation. If repentance of sins helps save you in any way then it had better be perfect repentance. (They say that God grants repentance of sins). If God grants repentance of sins and if that has anything to do with salvation at all then it had better be perfect repentance. God's standard is absolute perfection, not your best efforts. Trying doesn't count. Not even one sin is allowed to be in Heaven. James 2:10, " For whosoever shall keep the whole law and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." Oops, so much for helping out with your salvation by attempting to repent of your sins. God grants repentance unto the acknowledgement of the truth. *Saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.*

Great message indeed. But when Geoff Thomas said, ‘If there is one person longing to go to heaven, I’ll go to hell with the person,’ I did not understand. Could somebody please explain what he meant by that? 9:24
@illbehonest
@illbehonest 7 месяцев назад
So I THINK what he is getting at is that there is no such person who truly believes in Christ who will be damned...so if there is such a person, he would go to hell with them--in other words he is trying to drive home how God will not lie and will save those who come to Him.

Yes brother I believe that response is correct, What our brother is saying that no man naturally desires to go heaven because as Paul says we are all dead in our sins and trespasses. It takes the Spirit of God to breath life (rebirth) into us spiritually speaking so that our dersires will be for God and the things of God. So if any man desires heaven like Geoff does he will certainly end up there NOT in hell. What Geoff did was use a form of speech to hammer home the point by saying something that seems shocking to the ear.

@@mdurant719 God draws *all* men unto Him and He gives a measure of faith to every man it's then up to us to decide where to place our faith. Ephesians 1: 13 clearly says that believing precedes regeneration.

@mdurant719 7 месяцев назад
Yes brother but you cannot hold that text in isolation to the rest of scripture and build your theology off that. Very dangerous! Ffor instance Look what comes before eph 1:13 the verse you qouted. ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1:4‭-‬5‬ ‭NIV‬‬ [4] For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love [5] he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will- [11] In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, [12] in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. [13] And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, [14] who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession-to the praise of his glory. See are believing is the result of Gods choosing us which makes grace all the more wonderful. He freely loves us not because anything in us, including us believing, but we believe because He freely loved us. I wont go into a long debate about this online but there are many more scriptures that speak the same.

IT IS NOT YOU THAT CHOOSES TO PREACH, BUT AFTER EMPTYING YOURSELF, THE SPIRIT SPEAKS THROUGH YOU. DO NOT GO PREACHING LIKE CRAZY BECAUSE YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN THIS TASK BY A PREACHER. NOT EVERYONE SHOULD PREACH. JUST THE ONES THAT ARE READY, OTHERWISE YOUR WORDS WILL GIVE HOPE, BUT THE WHOLE PROCESS WILL NOT BE DONE BY THE SPIRIT LIKE IN ACTS, BUT YOUR FLESH WILL BE PLEASED TO DO IT. REAL PREACHING LIKE IN ACTS IT'S SO RARE THAT I DOUBT THAT NOWADAYS THE SPIRIT IS AMONG US. SOMETHING IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN I GUESS.

To be honest Calvinist destroyed the gospel. Only Calvinist will be saved no need to evangelize anymore. God is Love? Nope God loves His elect only. God created and predestined people for heaven and hell with no free will.

It's simple no. What about in the OT? Were all saved? What about Pharaoh, was he not hardened? What about Jacob and Esau? Why did Paul say what he did? So no, we did not destroy the gospel, we just present it as it is, and we are still preaching the gospel. We are still evangelising. What you are describing is hypercalvinism, an error of extremism that can be applied to Arminians too. We make a difference between free agency and free will. And tell me, can dead men raise themselves? Read that part of the Valley of dead dry bones. Can they come back to life by themselves? Hmm?

"Salvation is absolutely free and not conditional upon service to God." -- Where in this video is it being taught that salvation is not free? I am clueless as to what you are asserting this. Service to the LORD is only an evidence of someone's changed heart--works in no way pardon sin--but only give evidence one's sins have been pardoned. Romans 6, James 2, and other passages make this clear. Do some mix it up? Sure...some wrongly teach a works salvation--or others teach that we sin that grace may abound--we must avoid both ditches and drive on the road.
@colonalklink14

@@illbehonest You are just backloading works into the gospel and attributing them to God. Works don't prove your salvation. Also you said that a person must repent of their sins to be saved. More works. Also lukewarm people are those such as yourself, who can't decide whether it's by grace or by works, so they settle for something in the middle. Grace isn't grace if the possibility of abusing it doesn't exist. Nobody is telling anyone to live like the devil, but the fact remains that how you live has absolutely nothing to do with salvation at all.
