Your Chinese is simply impeccable. Normally when someone switches between Chinese and English, very often it feels pretentious, but you, on the other hand, speak them with this approachable and seamless style. You will have a great career, I am sure of it. Please make more videos so we could follow along with your journey. (From a Chinese who moved to Australia)

just came back from shanghai last week! loved it so much! I even visited STA! I'm in my last year of BA in music performance in vienna and right now I'm applying to schools in the UK to do a master in media... I would really like to go to shanghai or beijing after I graduate and work and improve my chinese (I am an austrian asian who also lived in australia haha). I love watching you do your thing and chase your dreams

Hey Jenny, I'm from LA, even though I live in Asia now, and I have some friendly advice for you. I've met a zillion actresses in Tinseltown and most of them are lazy and don't want to make any sacrifices, like dedicating time to improving their craft. Either it is your hobby or your profession. Treat it like the latter. Don't hang out with negative people, surround yourself with people who work hard on their creative passion. Commit to learning your craft, make short films, take acting classes, meet people in the industry and just be your friendly outgoing self. It costs nothing to make a film these days, make a short, write a short, meet people. Good Luck. You are wasting your talents in Shanghai if you are only getting 4-5 auditions a year. Write a play, star in your play, be proactive.

Ahh Jenny so happy for you for getting an agent!! Moving to LA sounds so exciting but also scary - but like you said it's now or never! i know you'll make the best of it and i'm excited for the opportunities that will for sure come your way :D Love these tri-language videos though i can't understand any shanghainese LOL I was born in China but our family moved to Toronto, Canada when I was 6. Definitely a dog person!! Working full time now but not sure if i want to go back to school.

Oh which part of china is your family originally from? haha I was completely a dog person as well, but i have now been changed...hahaha Congrats on working full time though! Hey Jenny, found you through a vlog you did on Taipei. I am German studying Chinese. I think listening to people speaking a language and trying to understand as much as possible is probaly one of the best ways to practice a language. Especially if you don`t have people to talk to in that language. You speak Chinese quite fast but I still understood parts of it, you speak it very clearly I think, although a bit fast :D

oh thank you haha, yeah i have a bad habit of speaking fast, even in chinese which causes me to say the wrong thing a lot of times haha. Working on speaking slower though. and I think it's great you're learning chinese it is such a useful and amazing language and you are right the best way to learn is by listening to speakers and practice listening to them!

Absolut. Einfach so viel wie möglich in der Zielsprache hören ist echt der beste Weg zum Erfolg. Außerdem ist das im Zeitalter von RU-vid / Spotify / und und und wirklich einfacher denn je zu realisieren. 一起加油 Die herkömmliche Methoden wie Sprachkurse / Filme anschauen / Serien gucken bis zum Umfallen.. sind in meinen Augen alles veraltet. Spätestens dann wenn man merkt dass sich die Muttersprachler anders anhören als in Serien muss man doch merken, dass das alles Blödsinn / ineffizient ist. Interviews, RU-vidr, Reality Shows... Das sind die echten Helfer. 👍

haha my parents sent me to chinese school since i was 4 and I did Chinese as one of my high school subjects as well. of course living in china for 5 years helps!

I'm an ex-pat in Suzhou right now, teaching English to kids at this after-school place. I've been watching your videos since one of my international friends linked me to your "10 Apps You Need In China" video, and they've been a real help with living here. I think you're pretty special considering most of the other more well-known ex-pat or otherwise RU-vid Vloggers in China are 99% white dudes. I don't have a problem with white guys as I am one myself, but I feel like I need the perspective of someone that's of actual Asian descent talking about Asian things. Anyway, hopefully we can see each other one day. I actually have a B.A in Film and want to get into the entertainment industry myself, but I have no idea how that would happen while I'm in China, like who would sponsor my visa, how much Chinese would I need to know, etc? I only flew here for work because it was a good opportunity for me to leave my home country of the USA, learn a new culture, and make some money doing it. Hearing and seeing your stories from the radio and film industry does pique my interest, though! Now then, break a leg!

Omggg your Chinese is so good I can’t believe it!!! Only just came across your channel. I was intrigued as I was born in Shanghai and now live in Melbourne Aust 😂 and my mandarin is awful because I don’t use it much, at home I speak Shanghainese with my parents. Then work moved me to box hill 🤦🏻‍♀️ which you know is Asian Centro 😅 so I was forced to speak it at work, now my mandarin is slowly getting better hahaa. Glad I found your channel, you inspire me to improve my Chinese x
