@@zahednow He has clearly explained using the translation, instead of putting words into Allah's mouth aoothobillah, which is what the vast majority of scholars do on this subject. Allah is trying to make it easy for the women at that time, by telling them that all they have to do is use their pre-existing head covering to cover their chest. Allah is not saying you MUST wear the khimar and cover your head,, he is saying to make sure you cover your chest with whatever clothing you have, and because there is nothing wrong with wearing a khimar, and it may even be preferable, Allah is saying that all you have to do is drape it over the front instead of the back. That is not the same as saying that a head covering is mandatory. Those who are saying that are twisting the words of Allah, and could be committing major sin.

I think his main point was that covering your hair is as important as covering your chest. Doing one or the other doesn't do much. It's doing both at the same time that benefits you. Let's use an analogy: Say there's a table that has many boxes and things under and on it. You happen to have guests coming over on short notice and so it would be best to hide it. The person puts over a table cover so that they can hide the stuff. The table cover is only long enough to cover one side of the table not the entire table. Yes, part of the table is covered but there are still a lot of exposed areas. Therefore, the cover isn't of much use.

Agree with first half of your statement. Dr. Shabir says that he would hesitate to say that omitting it would make a person sinful. He didn't CATEGORICALLY say that not wearing hijab is not sinful.

I love how he put that. It doesn't make someone feel awful about not wearing hijab or that their the worst person on earth and Allah hates them. So nice thank you. I myself struggle with waves or wearing and not wearing. It is hard because I can feel the wave of criticisim coming my way.

Allah knows best! but for me I feel it is my identification my duty and my honor . For when Allah called me to islam it was like my heart aches for the purity and peace that I have found and covering became natural for me. Allah made it easy even in the crazy heat of Florida. I am proud to be a Muslim women and I want to be seen as such. It really is a women’s choice but I see it as a layer of protection and out of obedience to Allah. @@mikk3150 No there is no command in the Quran for a woman to cover her head! Please do not refer me to 24:31 because all it says is for women to draw the ends of the khimar to cover their bosom. The khimar was a head dress commonly worn by women of that time and place including pagans. Allah is very clear in His commands as the Quran tells us, so if He wanted women to cover their heads He would have said so clearly. As far as the sunnah is concerned there is a hadith attributed to Abu Dawud where the Prophet is said to have indicated what should be covered of a woman. It is a weak hadith, and in any case a hadith cannot be used as the basis for a law. The Quran is a complete Book with regards to what is essential for a Muslim to practice religion, so if anything is not in the Quran then it is not binding! We Muslims must not allow the scholars to make a religion of their own, as the Quran warns us: "Rabbis and monks determined what was lawful and what was not instead of God" (The Quran, 9:31), and "And we have revealed the Book to you which has a clear explanation of everything" (The Quran, 16:89). Finally, "If you obeyed most of those on earth, they would lead you away from the path of Allah. They follow nothing but speculation - they are merely guessing" (The Quran, 6:115)!

@@dv.oo7 Hijab is an obligatory requirement for every Muslim woman after she’s reached puberty. It is not sunnah to wear it, it’s a mandate from the Quran and specifications regarding its definition and understanding is prescribed for us in the sunnah. No reputable scholar will tell you otherwise.
As a non-hijabi, this kind of an answer which is "It is recommended practiced but I'd hesitate omitting it would make a person sinful." makes me get closer to wear a hijab. As Salam aleykum.

@@1eV the problem is that you take this individual as an authority in this field when with all due respect he is a "Dr" with a Ph, and none of schooling was the traditional Alim/Islamic Studies. He grew up and studied religion for his major so why in the world he is speaking on Fiqh issues is beyond me. The real scholars have unanimously agreed that Hijab *is* mandatory and not wearing it is a sin in the eyes of Allah swt.

it is part of the attire that Allah commanded to cover your hair. Everything should be covered except for hands and face (with some differences about that).
Perways Hussein You're right, the mention of hair isn't explicit but if you know the language then you'll know it's implied. Not sure which scholars you've taken this understanding from. All our tradition has ever known is that Allah commanded women to cover everything but hands and face. There are many many proofs for this but to keep it simple just look at how the best of Muslim women understood this verse (the female companions and wives of the Prophet). They certainly didn't show their hair. Allah knows best.

Seera Masters 100s of years of scholarship and many other sunnahs and tafseer has been questionable to say the least. Their mere judgement that a womens face or hair is their private parts(awrah in arabic) is completely bogus since their judgement was from the verse itself ,Surah 24:31. And there is no mention of either face or hair in that verse. This authority over womens for the sake of Allah is just shameful , Women can choose whatever they need to wear , Quran encourages modesty. And Allahs knows the rest. No man can dictate whats sinful or not , unless its from the Quran.

It sounds to me from the verses Dr. Shabir quoted of the Quran that a woman should cover her chest, not her head. Therefore, the modern hijab seems like it's a relic of traditional dress, not religious, since hijab isn't mentioned in the Quran, and a woman can cover her chest through other means or modest clothing.
The tradition of head covering isn't the same as the call for women to cover their chest. The practice is mentioned because it was pre-Islamic tradition and carried over into Islamic culture. However, there are many other cultural traditions from the past that have fallen by the wayside. So tradition cannot be equated to religious practice or commands.
Quran 24:31 "and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose.." Head cover was normal, already in effect. In addition it says cover the chest. So for a muslim cover your head and chest when going out.
+Mohannad Khabradoui, what about other religious laws in Quran which are extremely discriminating towards women? 1: A woman's testimony is considered half 2: A woman gets half a share in inheritance (keep in mind that in current times, due to poverty, women have to take financial burden actually) . 3: An adult woman needs a male guardian all her life (regardless of her age) to take consent from . 4: A man can verbally divorce his wife anytime without giving any reason to anyone, a woman has to go to the court and provide a valid reason for divorce. 5: In case of divorce, child custody of children over 7 is automatically given to father. 6: In case of divorce, all a man has to do is give the woman haq meher money set at the time of marriage and she has to leave the house (regardless if she spent 20 years in the house raising kids) 6: Men can have multiple wives. Dont you think we need ijitahd/reform to make islam compatible with current times? Just like Slavery is allowed in Islam/Quran but banned all over the world, why cant some of the above practices be banned by law?
I totally agree with Dr. SHABIR nothing wrong with exposing hair, however women should and must cover blossoms as this is a Quranic directive. Please note directive means to do something fully, however how to do it is left upon the individual. So you can for instance cover your bossom by scarf, shirt, coat, outer garment, chadar, any clothing as long as it is covered. Wear and be modest, yet can look stunning and fashionable at the same time

As a muslim woman , I dont wear hijab or we must say khimar as hijab has an another meaning in quran , and as he said in the aya what really was the order is to cover the chest with the khimar women were wearing over their heads and bodies at that time so it was a traditional and cultural thing not specific to islam. I would like to explain an issue I have which is about the hijab. I grew up with my mother who is very strict on religion and forced me to wear the hijab, I was a little child back then so I didn’t understand what was happening and I obeyed her rules. Now, at this age I don’t want to wear the hijab because of how it really affects my confidence, and I am really afraid to admit this because I really want to like wearing my hijab and sometimes I do feel honored and proud but it really affects my confidence and I don’t feel that beautiful. My mother doesn’t really treat me fair since I live in a household with 4 brothers and no father and my brothers don’t respect women. They call them cuss words and so much more. I feel much more beautiful wearing modest clothing but without my hijab. I know that it seems I’m trying to disobey Allah (SWT) but I really respect Him and am proud to be a Muslim. I wish I had the opportunity to choose wether I should wear a hijab or not and I wish to not to. I’m in middle school right now and if I had a choice of wearing a hijab I would not until I feel comfortable doing so. I don’t like being forced by my mother and want it to stop. I really respect Allah (SWT) and His wishes but I’m sure that my happiness is sinking because of this. It hurts that I feel this way because I don’t want to be a bad Muslim. Is there any way I can solve this issue with my parents? This issue has been hurting me so much and I really want to fix it.

No it’s not My family are all very religious people but my sister and my mom don’t wear the hijab. Before the 70’s tons of people were Muslims and didn’t wear hijab. Then some extremists in Saudi Arabia decided that the hijab shouldn’t be a recommended choice but instead mandatory because they needed people to know that people are Muslims from the outside. But truly being a Muslim truly matters on the inside. But it still is mandatory to cover your legs and arms and torso.

In my country the hijab is not common AT ALL. This leads men to see it as something mysterious and exotic, and even sexy🙄😒😒 I tried wearing the hijab and I attracted 10 times the male attention I usually attract, so it defeated the whole purpose. If I continued wearimg it it would be THE OPPOSITE of being modest!! Being modest is all about your surroundings and your culture. We don't live in a vaccuum!

It is mandatory for believing women to wear a headscarf but why do the men always forget that Allah commands men to lower their gaze in Surah Nur verse 30 (24:30) (O Prophet), enjoin believing men to cast down their looks 29 and guard their private parts.30 That is purer for them. Surely Allah is well aware of all what they do. Believing men are simply not allowed to gaze at the women, be it believing woman or any other woman. Believing men are ordered to lower their gaze, when they go through the market they need to walk while lowering their so that they don't observe any non-mahram. Believing men are simply not allowed to stare at the girl's face and hair, even if they do look at the face of the woman accidentally, then they should lower their gaze and not look again. and in the same way Women are ordered to lower their gaze so that no fitna occurs
Yeah. No where in that sura or anywhere else in the Quran does it say women must cover their heads with cloth. This is a pre Islamic practice used for utility in a hot desert that carried over. I can completely understand the recommendation for women to cover their hair, neck, and bosom from a historical context, in a sense that in those times, it would protect women from being raped or from being molested by sexually frustrated men, since in those days, women had a lot less protection from the law of the land if there even was such a thing and even if they did, it wouldn't protect them in any practical way. In short it just seems to tell women in a practical way to protect themselves, rather than giving a judgment on what parts of their bodies are allowed to be seen by others.

Hijab is the traditional dress of the Arabs and even Jew women use to cover their heads, so I think it's more a cultural thing. I think Quran would have ordered the women to cover their hair straight away, but does the word hair used anywhere?

So omitting the headscarf is not sinful. Leaving your 5 daily prayers is however without exception, sinful. Please zoom out on the bigger picture before focusing on the finer points. Hijab including the head scarf is a beautiful thing. Unfortunately rather than honouring the muslim woman it is being used as a tool by ignorant oppressive male dominated cultures ie. Indian subcontinent as a way to exert their unjust authority over women - keeping them from educating, spiritually developing or contributing to public life. The fact that women are not allowed in mosques to pray -the God given Right of every human being - is proof of that.

And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful." The word, jilbab in this quran verse context should not be interpreted by the modern usage of the word. According to the Lisan al Arab (quintessential Arabic dictionary) jilbab in this context refers to the khimar or headscarf. This verse specifically states that muslim women wear the headscarf in order to be known and recognized as believing women and to be protected. Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 4481. The following version was narrated by Abu Dawood (4102): May Allaah have mercy on the Muhaajir women. When Allaah revealed the words “and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)”, they tore the thickest of their aprons (a kind of garment) and covered their faces with them. Shaykh Muhammad al-Ameen al-Shanqeeti (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: This hadeeth clearly states that what the Sahaabi women mentioned here understood from this verse - “and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)” - was that they were to cover their faces, and that they tore their garments and covered their faces with them, in obedience to the command of Allaah in the verse where He said “and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)” which meant covering their faces. Thus the fair-minded person will understand that woman’s observing hijab and covering her face in front of men is established in the saheeh Sunnah that explains the Book of Allaah. ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) praised those women for hastening to follow the command of Allaah given in His Book. It is known that their understanding of the words “and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)” as meaning covering the face came from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), because he was there and they asked him about everything that they did not understand about their religion.
Subhan-Allah, thank you Allah (s.w.t.) for such a wise and beautiful scholar. Dr. Shabir Ally is a very wise man, Subhan-Allah, but still extremely grounded and humble. Many famous scholars start losing theirselves in their popularity and strictly condemn, prohibit, allow certain things according to their opinion, which they sometimes justify with an over reliance on debated or even unauthentic Ahadith. They do it in a very patronizing manner as well. I think what Dr. Shabir Ally has said here fits very good: "People are not our servants, they're God's servants.". He has a lot of knowledge, but is still very careful with his sources outside of the Qur'an and has that intuition Allah (s.w.t.) talks about in the Qur'an. He is a true blessing from Allah (s.w.t.) and has helped me a lot, probably more than any other scholar. May Allah (s.w.t.) bless him and his loved ones richly in this life and in the hereafter and guide us to the right path.
Bismillah. For more on the Hijab issue, I came upon a 4 Part lecture on it delivered by Professor Khaled Abou El Fadl. I feel it would be beneficial for anyone who wishes to apply their intellect on the matter before drawing conclusions. I'd like us all to focus on more important issues of ethics and justice, and equality, and freedom that our deen promotes and is based on. What I see around us as a collective Ummah is far removed from these principles, because we no longer use our reason. May Allah guide us all to goodness and make us the best window to His way
You can't cover you chest with the headscarf. Headscarf is not a shirt. He is talking nonsense. There is no magical veils. Veils can't take you the paradise. That is idolatry.

About the covering of hair: "As for elderly women past the age of marriage, there is no blame on them if they take off their ˹outer˺ garments, without revealing their adornments. But it is better for them if they avoid this ˹altogether˺. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing." Surah Noor, Ayah 60 Although covering of the hair is not explicitly mentioned in the verses Dr Shabir mentioned, these later verses talk about older women being allowed to take off their outer garment which means if you're not such a woman then you should keep outer garment on. Important here to understand here is that in almost all Muslim cultures, when women wear an outer garment or chaddar, they cover their hair with it always. In fact, in Urdu translations of this verse, it's explicitly mentioned that these particular women may uncover their hair. Further Allah knows best.
Bro, translations can be wrong, that's why you read it in Arabic and listen to translations by scholars. And you said only the Urdu translation says that, that means someone changed it. And by outer garments it means the dress code that Allah gave to women. It means they can wear what they could normally wear within their family(shorts tube tops) outside, but it's better to stay modest, because(old age, etc.)

Is it a coincidence that many religious people before Islam covered their head as well? Covering the head is a sign of modesty, not revealing her beauty to the public. It is not forbidden to not to cover her hair, but those who do are considered as the highest form of modesty. I see only non Muslims and 'women who like attention of boys' saying its degrading. I'm from a Muslim country, the Hijab is not a law but everyone wears it. If you do not like it, don't wear it, just don't go saying people who wear it, to not wear it.

I get your points to be modest and all but that should apply equally to men and women. Obviously a women should should cover her chest but so should a man because that part is attractive to most women. I always here that men should cover form there bellybutton to their knees or lower legs maybe. I was taught this at least. It isn't hard for a man to lower his gaze as it is for a woman to lower her gaze. Men and women both know what we find attractive we shouldn't make excuses for men to stare at a woman's behind during prayer. Yeah women are a hard test for men, but that doesn't mean that this is ok for them to stare.. It is still haram. But still Allah ordered us to cover ourselves.. If you put it in context the 33:59 verse is specifically for that particular time period where they were some men who used to trouble women. Majority of the verses in Quran regarding head cover or hijab is in relation to the specific middle eastern culture during that time where all communities ie Christian/Jewish women also used to cover their hair. There is no unambiguous verse in Quran directing women to cover hair. To infer, it had been an Arabic practice of head cover which is wrongly being accepted as an Islamic practice (as many other Arabic practices) over a period of time which does not have Quranic backing.
I agree. If heads were to be covered it would be clear cut in the Quran, which it is not. There is no sin at all in covering your head but according to the Quran it isn't a sin to not cover your head.

Yesss I do agree with u. The "majority" of people says it's mandatory and its sinful to not do that. And they gave their own 20-30 mins of explanations like how a man sees u with lust from the shape of your body to the beauty of your face...like it's so disgusting to listen sometimes. Surah ahzab verse 59 seems very clear as in the same Allah says "better for them so that they can be recognised and not be harrased" As per my understanding I see this as a solution for a particular situation. And in the verse it is mentioned "better" not "obligation" or mandatory". Like the surah noor starts stating that the verse are commandment and they're clear so we don't have any problem. (May Allah forgive if I make any mistake writing this) And in 31 I guess, Points are:- 1) lower our gaze Just like Allah mentioned to lower voices while taking to Prophet. The only scholar I know who says that the women back then were already used to wearing khimar back then and to dress modestly by bringing the trail of cloth behind to the front. Well said.
The word hijab is not mentioned in the Quran, so basically it's just human interpretation. Women should dress moderate and in a respectful Way. You are free to wear it, but if you don't do it it's not a sinn since hijab is not an obligation. And after all every woman can wear what she wants :)

The conditions of hijaab: Firstly: (It should cover all the body apart from whatever has been exempted). Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): O Prophet! Tell your wi ves and your daugh ters and the wom en of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allaah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. This aayah clearly states that it is obligatory to cover all of a womans beauty and adorn ments and not to display any part of that before non-mahram men (strangers) except for whatever appears unintentionally, in which case there will be no sin on them if they hasten to cover it up. Secondly (it should not be an adornment in and of itself). Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): and not to show off their adornment [al-Noor 24-31]. The general meaning of this phrase includes the outer garment, because if it is decorated it will attract mens attention to her. This is supported by the aayah in Soorat al-Ahzaab (interpretation of the meaning): And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance [al-Ahzaab 33-33]. It is also supported by the hadeeth in which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: There are three, do not ask me about them: a man who leaves the jamaaah, disobeys his leader and dies disobedient; a female or male Servant who runs away then dies; and a woman whose husband is absent and left her with everything she needs, and after he left she made a wanton display of herself. Do not ask about them. (Narrated by al-Haakim, 1/119; Ahmad, 6/19; from the hadeeth of Faddaalah bint Ubayd. Its isnaad is saheeh and it is in al-Adab al-Mufrad). Thirdly: (It should be thick and not transparent or see-thru) - because it cannot cover properly otherwise. Transparent or see-thru clothing makes a wo man more tempting and beautiful. Concerning this the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: During the last days of my ummah there will be women who are clothed but naked, with something on their heads like the humps of camels. Curse them, for they are cur sed. Another hadeeth adds: They will not enter Paradise or even smell its fragrance, although its fragrance can be detected from such and such a distance. (Narrated by Muslim from the report of Abu Hurayrah). Ibn Abd al-Barr said: what the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) meant was women who wear clothes made of light fabric which describes and does not cover. They are clothed in name but naked in reality. There There Ijmaa‘ (scholarly consensus) if the Face and hands Should be Shown or Not differences of opinion amongs the Scholars Allahknowbest. I take it that it should be covered up. AnyGood I Have Said is From Allah Any bad I have Said is from myself and Allah and he's messenger are Free From it.
I know so many people who wear the headscarf but then wear a really tight t-shirt with short sleeves like that makes absolute no sense but only Allah is to judge but then it pisses me off because they criticise me for wearing no headscarf even though the rest of my attire is loose and covered. Islam is a beautiful religion. It is unfortunate that Hijab nazis are pushing people away from Islam. References to ancient Arabic tradition are not meant to be interpreted literally (eg. slavery). You can dress modestly without a headscarf. Ironically you are attracting extra attention to yourself. These radical views will lead to fewer marriages of young Muslim women and a decline in people of faith. To wear it as a symbol of your identity or for political reasons is a different story.
Pre-Islamic Arabia women were already wearing hijab. BUT they showed much cleavage. All Allah commanded in the Quran was to use the hijab to also cover the chest. That is not the same as a command to wear hijab. To interpret that as a command to wear hijab means that any woman who wears hijab but doesn’t use it to cover her chest is sinful.
This is what I also wonder. Women AND MEN wore khimars. Muslims and disbelievers. It was a cultural thing and also protected the hair from the sun and the sand. Quran was revealed to the whole world and not just Arabs. So I feel like if we had to cover our hair, Allah would tell us to WEAR the khimars in front of non mahrems and not display our hair and use it to cover the chest area too. Because even if women wore khimars, they didn’t always wear them. Now we have other means to cover our cleavage without covering the head.
I want to wear hijab when i marry my future husband inşaAllah, then it will have more purpose for me because i already wear baggy and modest clothes not revealing any skin of my body.
I pray that you get the will & guidance to start wearing the hijab sooner than later, because there is no directive for hijab to be wore only after marriage. Also just wearing baggy clothes doesn't imply quranic hijab as you have to draw & outer cloth above your dress

I'm in university first year right now. I'm struggling with wearing hijab. I haven't worn like proper hijab since I was a kid..sometimes I do wear a hijab to university and sometimes I dont. When I do I feel like I'm not being myself and lack confidence. My friends judge me for not being a good muslim cuz I sometimes wear it and sometimes I don't. Somedays I feel like wearing it and other days I don't. I don't know what to do. I feel like I'm not ready for a full commitment to hijab yet. And certainly don't wanna do hijab for people who judge me.

Allah is the only judge and He wll judge each individual according to their actions. No one can give the excuse that they were following someone else's advice. Each person has to make the decision of what is right and what is wrong according to their understanding. If through ignorance they sin, then Allah is most forgiving!
No, it is not a sin; God is about love - we will be judged on our actions and deeds; not on what we wore or didn't wear in this world. It is feeble-minded to believe that an item of clothing - or the lack there of - can prevent a woman from entering Heaven. We are all responsible for our own sins - if a man lusts after a woman, it is his sin, not hers. Men should stop trying to deflect their shortcomings onto women. We are all made in God's image - we should be proud of the bodies He gave us.

You still don't get what he is saying... the verse itself is vague. There is no definite argument about it. Since Arabian people were already covering their head (in which I have objection), he is saying additional order came to the chest area with the garment that they are already using (in which I have objection too). So yes, you can get the meaning of I should wear a headscarf in order to fulfill the order to cover chest according to Quranic way, but also this is also not necessary as well according to way it is mentioned. Because; there is no direct order to head to be covered and also head is part of islamic wudu parts (so it has the same status of hands, feet, face, arms ( till elbows)) For example; we know pork is haram and there are also delibarte sins in dringking, stones, arrows...etc. But dresscodes are not mentioned under these context.

so, accepting that the head covering was worn by arabian women during that time and that the quran in surah an nisa was telling women to extend that headcovering to their chest, why then is it not considered a sin not to do so ?? it is a clear commandment.
Headcovering is not imposed in Quran so it’s not grave sin if u don’t cover your hair but it’s a pious act to go extra mile to wear one, but our salafi brothers impose it when it’s not illegal

QURAN is the criterion which will stand for you OR against you on the day of judgment. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed. Surah Ahzab, Verse 36: It is not for a believer, man or woman when Allaah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision.
You have chosen certain translations that go well beyond what the Quran actually says. Look at every other translation and see how nothing about covering hair or face is mentioned.
Please do not leave out verse 30 INITIALLY addressing men to lower their gaze and guard their privates. There is a reason men are addressed first and it is because it is left out that men feel that they can do whatever if the woman isn't covered properly. No, that is not the case. We each are responsible for our own actions. AlLah hasn't given men leave in case a woman isn't covered. In my opinion, It is not OK for you to leave that verse out; those two verses go hand in hand as both men and women are addressed. To present it like this, takes on a discriminatory approach.
Surah Ahzab, Verse 59 DOES NOT say faces. Fellow believer to fellow believer do you understand the gravity and sin attached to assigning words to God for which He hasn't said? It is made clear in the Quran numerous times that do not make unlawful what He hasn't made unlawful. Please do your due diligence before making these statements brother/sister.

Our prophet Muhammad a.s spoke about those woman who are uncovered and they take pride while going out in this manner, that they will not smell the fragrance of paradise and that they are the worst of women. Do we need to discuss this topic again ????
Is that Hadith not talking about bodies? Women who are dressed and yet appear naked? It has nothing to do with hair covering from my understanding. It’s probably about wearing tight or see through or short clothing like western women do nowadays. A lot of Muslim women wear long loose clothing, are modest and don’t adorn themselves but don’t wear head scarf. I’m not saying head scarf isn’t mandatory but I don’t think we can put a woman who fully and properly covers the rest of her body and is modest but only shows her head with a half naked woman who fully exposes the shape of her body or even her whole body with see through clothes like todays celebrities do, in the same basket. Allah knows best tho.
Allah Sub'hana'wata'Allah is very specific in the Qur'an about covering of the head and the covering of the bodies of the Muslim ladies so as to properly cover their adornments. Scholars of Fiqh are unanimous on this. If Allah al-Azeem has commanded adherence to a specific act or practice, then its non-compliance is likely to earn His displeasure. I guess people can decide for themselves if this is a sin or not. May Allah Sub'hana'wata'Allah guide and protect the Muslim Ummah, ameen.
Using 'Himar' which can mean head cover to cover breasts does not mean that the Creator in Quran commanded to cover the head as well, but commanded to use a commonly worn head cover as a tool to cover the breasts . Neither does the Quran prohibit it. Only the covering of breasts is commanded. When willfully used a head cover can help to bring a woman closer to the Creator. But to oppress women who do not wear one because it is commanded by the Creator in Quran is false and wrong. This story of 'Hijab was thrown back to uncover breasts' is not in the revealed Quranic word of God. Hadith is hearsay science word of man misused as an abusive method of maintaining a false sense of dominance of weak men over even weaker women and weaker men. May the Creator curse the fabricators of God's word. The Creator in the Quran says that Quran is 'sufficient complete, perfected and clear' . Then it follows that the Hadith peddlers are idolators in the ranks of 'so-called' Islam who, in their blindness, claim Quran as a general rules giving reference book: that the Knitty Gritties of perfection of faith is in the historical hearsay recordings of what the prophet said and did. Hadith justifications include since Quran states to follow the prophet than we must follow him posthumously through Hadith. But if one really thinks, the Quran was not fully revealed when God instructs others to follow the prophet. So they needed to follow the prophet who if he deviated from God's will in action and words, God would cut out his jugular vein. When the Quran was complete, then prophet completely did his job. So Quran advises against seeking authority outside Quran (in it's complete form). Neither is Muhammad around and neither is there additional revelations of God to command reliance on apocryphal hearsay stories involving what the prophet may have said and done as an article of faith ( 'cover the breasts' in Quran really means cover the breasts, no more no less. Additional apocryphal details such as cover was originally used to cover the head and misused to expose the breast changes the whole meaning). The point of the Creator's words in Quran in this context is modesty. But modesty goals are twisted outside Quran to oppress women. In Quran, oppression is worse than slaughter. The other fallacy is that the more detailed the ritual, the closer it gets one to God. So we have in Hadith how to walk into a bathroom and how to walk out , how to hold ones arms in prayer and # of Rakats. Deviations from these minutiae are a means for weak people to oppress even weaker violators through frowning and humiliation which are distractions from connecting to the Sole Mover. So is Quran to be considered not the word of God for it's many ambiguities (five prayers a day, three prayers a day, remembrance of God is more important than prayer-all in Quran) ? Detailed ritual was used by the priests and anchorites on the people of the book as an unjust method of social control to establish intercession by humans to undermine the Creator's Supreme and direct authority over each creature as individuals. The Creator sent Jesus to restore that direct connection ('ask -the Creator- and you shall receive'; 'knock -on the Creator's door- and it shall be opened'...etc.). Now here we are in 2022 with the highly ritualized 'so -called' authorities extremely devoted to making a prophet (Muhammad) the center of their religion by hiding the necessary full light of Quran , calling it insufficient and thus 'crippled'. In the Quran, the Lord of all the worlds is center as we are not to make any distinction between the prophet/messengers. These hadith peddlers even go as far as to dis-allow image representations of Muhammad as if he is the Creator for Whom an image constitutes blasphemy for He (the Creator) is above His creation that cannot be likened unto Him. So these Hadith peddlers liken Muhammad unto Allah by claiming that he (Muhammad) is not to be likened unto creation like Allah is not to be likened and therefore no image of Muhammad can be made as well. The Hadith peddlers forbid an image of Muhammad because of the danger of worshiping him as a man-god. This does not justify the hadith peddlers worshipping Muhammad as a unseen God-god. In Quran you repeatedly read that the Creator guides Whom He pleases and that for whom the Creator withdraws guidance, there is no guidance. Here, the Hadith peddlers commit two sins: the first is to liken Muhammad to the infinite unseen Lord of all the worlds. The second is to, act as partners to the Creator by using this lie to prevent poeple from worshipping Muhammand. If the Creator decrees that people worship Muhammad as a god besides God, then no one can prevent it, especially by means of the first 'shirk' of associating Muhammad with the 'unseen' Creator.
*Obviously it is a sin not to follow an Order of Allah. Allah doesn't need to mention how much punishment someone will get for not following His any specific order. Because punishment may vary from person to person depending on their Personal situation/social or political situation.*
Berry Browniez sinning alone doesn’t get you straight to hell the whole process is rather holistic There will be shieks going to hell and nonmuslims granted heaven Allah knows best and knows our hearts and intentions best That being said we should try our best to follow every commandment and if we couldn’t we should ask for forgiveness and try harder Allah is merciful and the idea that one sin has one specific punishment or that we will be judged based on s checklist is not compatible with Islam

@@Noone-rd2bo in the end, everyone will go to heaven. Nothing stop you from that but hell is the process which slows you from going to heaven. Its like punishing a child but giving them candy after.
