Loved the talk about whether you minded being a plus size. Years ago, I lost 50 lbs., and I bought some roller skates and skated with the kids. And I went swimming and I had a gym membership. I was in my 30's and 40's. But into my 60's the weight came back. I no longer have the desire to skate or swim or go to the gym 3x's a week. When my doctor asked if I wanted to try the new diabetic meds, they have started using for weight loss I said no. I told her to think of the dog breeds. No one expects a gray hound to be a St. Bernard nor a St. Bernard to be a gray hound. At 74, I no longer want to be thin. I'd just be a bunch of loose skin everywhere. Mind you it would make clipping my toenails easier. And I am down to slip on shoes. And I haven't been in a dress in years. And even high heels and dress shoes wouldn't do due to balance issues and bunions/hammer toe. What beauty I ever had has faded and I'm down to the being neat and clean stage. I tell myself that this is the way it is supposed to be. And so, it is.

I agree with you on weight loss. I’m the same size / shape as you and have over the years lost ( and regained) weight but every time I was in the right mindset and very dedicated. I find if I don’t exercise I gain weight very easily ,but unfortunately over the years my health has limited my ability to exercise as I need to to successfully lose weight. I love your vlogs especially your try ons as I was stuck in a rut with clothes but you have shown how I can step out of my comfort zone and look and more importantly feel good.

Loved the Q and A series. My dear Mum who will be 85 in November has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and I am really terrified of what's to come as my Grandmother and John's Grandmother also had it so I knowing what is to come is very sad. I am glad your Mum is doing well Caroline and you and your family too. It is still very raw and things hit us when we least expect it. Sending hugs to you all. ❤

Hi Caroline you are absolutely correct about the friend thing, I had a beautiful friend who very sadly died of cancer, after the funeral her sister thanked me for being such a good friend to her, my reply to her was, to have a good friend you have to be a good friend, works both ways. Mums! How strong was my mother. At the age of 29 mum and Dad emigrated to Australia. Within 6 months my father was killed in an industrial accident. Mum was on her own in a country where she knew no one. Widowed with 3 children under 10. I don’t know how she did it. I lost her 12 months ago at age 89. Miss her every day. I still cry thinking about her and her hard life.

Caroline I don’t often comment but I have to say how uplifting that was. You are so positive and have a great outlook on life. As women of a certain age we carry the worries regarding our families - children/grandchildren, older parents, bereavements, ill health… not to mention our pets. It takes its toll and like you, I have developed avoidance/coping strategies sometimes which are necessary to stop that horrific catastrophic thinking. I’m with you on the weight loss..I don’t want it enough to commit but do now address health issues, general diet and fitness in a positive way. I love your other videos including clothes hauls. You know what suits you and have a lovely style. It’s good to see a lady with a similar shape to me trying clothes on and you have great ideas. Wishing you much happiness Caroline and for your Mum and lovely family too. Keep on doing what you do and take care x

Caroline. How I identified with your answers. Friends who bring so much joy into my life. Health, yes I'd loved to lose weight but other issues make it difficult to exercise. Worry, yes, more than I should. My daughter is nearly 55 and if she doesn't answer the phone or contact me quickly, all scenarios go through my mind. I lost my son 15 years ago and she is therefore just so precious to me. Thank you so much for being so open and honest. I do hope you all have a lovely holiday, you deserve it.

You and Carla are my favourites. I don't make friends easily but I think of you two as my friends. You're always there. Thank you Caroline. I lost my Dad to a heart attack over 20 years, ago. I still cry, it's still raw. Our Dad's are so special.

First: I love the coffee cup! I find your videos uplifting & helpful. Me, being a woman of size, I have finally figured out that my happiness comes first & trying to be thinner is mentally challenging. So, I have decided to eat healthy & get some exercise and be happy with myself. I enjoy your try-ons, they give me great ideas to try, which I would have been afraid to, so thank you. When you're awake & worrying about anything, get up, write it down, then decide if it's something really worth worrying over, is it something you can actually change or fix? I had to giggle at the question about worrying over children, I had 3, the youngest now is 36. My oldest daughter called me awhile back, saying I know now why you have gray hair, lol. Her oldest is 22 & youngest is 18. Now it's her turn.

I find that wearing a sort of shoe (a slide) in the house is better for my feet and subsequently for knee and hip and back, as it gives a good solid but cushioned base. Also, my heels are less crispy!!! I think that we need to stop thinking about our weight and just eat healthy, be active and enjoy the occasional treat. My problem is that I like to treat myself too much. So that is the issue, not whether I eat a potato or a slice of bread, really. So I just need to get a handle on that. A fun and open session with you! Enjoy your day.

This was so much fun - thank you for sharing yourself with us! Loved Carla's question - she's one of the lights of the internet! I couldn't think of a question to ask - so hard to know what would be appropriate or inappropriate or misinterpreted. The questions that were asked made me think of my own responses - the only ones that were immediate were the music questions! Can't listen to "I hope you dance" without a tear.

Hi Caroline, totally understand about your dad’s passing being (sort of) a relief……. I felt the same about my dad who also had dementia. And I too can be in floods of tears at the drop of a hat if I think about my parents and I lost my dad over 10 years ago and my mum 5 years ago xx big hugs 😘😘

Thank you for the very interesting Q&A videos Caroline. You were so honest I feel I know you a bit better now. Totally understand your anxiety around your son. I have had the same with my daughter and still worry about her even though she’s 39, married and has 2 teenagers! Agree with you about friendships too. I spent many years making all the running in some friendships and as soon as I stopped, the friendship disappeared. It was such a sad time in some ways, but a relief in others. I have a small group of very good friends now and it feels much healthier. ❤

Another brilliant vlog Caroline, I agree totally with you about Charlotte Tilbury. I have tried it and really think it’s over hyped and priced. With regards to weight, I decided after doing slimming world and weight watchers over the years and getting good results but to be honest all the while feeling miserable and permanently looking to see what I could or couldn’t eat on plan has driven me mad, so a few years back I decided to put my scales away and just live life. Enjoy the cream tea !! Xx

What an interesting video Caroline. And what a wonderful tribute to your mum - she does look lovely. My mum would have been 100 years old this week, but I consider myself very fortunate to have had her for 63 years. Cheeky Carla - she's so needy. Lol.😂😂 I'm with you on the Luther Vandross song - for the first 20 times I heard it the tears literally poured down my cheeks, not for any personal reasons but just the words! Never happened with any other song.

Very interesting again Caroline. Carla’s question made me 😊. When you mentioned the Luther Vandross song ‘Dance with my Father, I welled up as that always gets me too - I was a daddy’s girl and I lost my dad to dementia 20 years ago - he was a real gent, always wore a shirt & tie etc and he loved to dance - it was our thing- still miss him a lot. Agree about having a last meal /chat with those special people who are no longer in our lives - would be fantastic ❤ Love a bit of Van Morrison myself along with Billy Joel, younger Elvis, then a bit of take that and 80s !! Xx

I very much relate to your worrying about your son. I have two children - a daughter aged 20 at Cambridge who I worry about if I don't hear from her every day and a son who is nearly 18. He went to an evening wedding reception at the Berry Head Hotel last night saying he wouldn't be late and would walk home. He came in at 150am by which time I'd imagined him falling into the sea, worked out what to wear to his funeral and buried him! Worry is a dreadful emotion and one I find very difficult to deal with particularly over my children!

The song that makes me cry is “ Together we’ll be ok “ Cannon and Ball . My Mum caught Covid in hospital and I lost her , poor Bobby Ball fell to the same fate . The song is supposed to be happy but reminds me of that . I find music and smell so evocative . I really enjoyed this vlog as always I didn’t want it to finish xx

Really enjoyed the Q and A's Caroline, you made me laugh and made me a bit tearful at the same time. My son and only child is 48 yes old. If he doesn't answer my texts within 10 minutes I begin to worry. It happened a couple of days ago, so I sent him another text asking if he was OK. He text back "mom I was in the shower, I'm fine, don't panic!" I answered saying " I'm your mom it's my job to panic". Also my brother in law has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimers. So what you said resonated with me. Love your channel, been watching for years, but don't comment very often, keep up the good work.xx

Caroline that’s exactly how I felt about me being the only one keeping in touch , with some people , so thought I would wait til they contacted me, with some I’m still waiting. I am a terrible worrier , silly little things needless to say . People say don’t worry about it, but I can’t ., yes worrying about your adult children and grandchildren, especially when they don’t answer texts etc

The question was probably one of the bizarre ones..lol My black one ended up in an unused guest room, at the moment, and the door is always closed so the dog doesn't put white hair all over it. I think its called life 360 where you can track your kids & i wont have it either. I also avoid texting my daughter at uni if its later at night as id go out of my head if she didnt reply whereas id rather just have a nights sleep and catch up with her when she calls me 😂.

Really interesting questions and answers. My MIL has had dementia for couple of years now and we feel like we have already lost her a bit (if that makes sense), so have discussed and feel it will be easier to come to terms with once she does pass. I am the same as you with the worry of my 26 year old son, and he still lives at home!!!!! (can't get to sleep until he comes home if he is out late!)

Great Q and A. I worry all the time about my 4 daughters and grand kids. I laugh about not wanting to text in case they don’t text back in a timely manner. Me too!!! I feel the same way!!. what they call a worry wart. Sorry about your friend at 16. So sad. So much life missed. Cherish traveling with your mom. I miss my mom so much. I. Would love to go on a trip with her. As far as your wt, it’s so hard to get to the wt you want. You look wonderful , and so live your life . not all were meant to be a tiny wt. we all have different body shapes . Hugs!❤

Oh Caroline I can totally relate to that you worry about your Son. My goodness that is me. I've only one child, hes 44 !! and I imagine all sorts if he doesnt reply. 🤔
