Look at some other countries many successful leaders are there who cannot speak in English. I dnt think its an issue.

අනුර සහෝදරයාට English තෙරුම් ගන්න , කියවන්න , වටහාගන්න පුලුවන් ඒත් professional spoken මදි කියල එයාට හිතෙනවා ඇති... ඉදිරියේදි ඔහු ගේ English හැකියාව පෙන්වයි. කලින් හිතා හිටියෙ ජවිපෙ මුල් පෙලේ ඉන්න අයට english බෑ කියලනෙ... ඒත් හඳුන්, විජිත, නලින්ද, නලින් හේවගේ, මහින්ද සමරසිංහ, වගේ අය හොඳට english පුලුවන් බව පෙන්වලා තියෙනව . ඇත්තටම අනුර සහෝදරයත් ඒක පෙන්විය යුතුයි.. සනහරුන්ගෙ මතය බිඳින්න ඕනෙ.

Good idea. SLT is one of best example of privatization . And privatation of public transportation is worst example. SLS ,Consumer affairs ..etc are also bribed.

Yeah, that's true. Anura explains anything in a very systematic way. If they have someone thats can do the same in English, it would be ideal. Chathuranga is good, but he needs more experience.

As one gentleman pointed out above, please give them some time. I am sure they will deliver much more than the other parties who had ruined our country. Anura is a seasoned campainer and he is a walking dictionary. Please do not expect miracles overnight since the country is already against the wall. To turn around things with good and transparent governance it will take 5 - 10 years to reap the benefits. They have a vision for the nation and they will do it. At least the future generations will benefit. Best of luck NPP.

English is not a barrier for a great leader who has a vision and capability.take Japan,China,France ,Korea so on.they don't care a shir of English. @@sunilsiriwardana5271 I’m from USA, being here about 30 something years and I have seen people from all over the world here speak broken English we cannot even understand, and even they go to a Universities and get even a PHD..so many Chinese students cannot speak good English…so what we can do is to get a translator if we get honest leaders..who can build up this fallen country… Jaya Wewa

It is unfortunate that NPP is trying to keep the same strict university admission process and make misery of our school children. We desperately need a university entrance system that is holistic! Something that is not just based on getting the highest z score in a written exam to enter the best undergraduate program. The current system put lot of stress on our students as well as parents yet make tuition masters millionaires, and so popular that they come into politics ( Bandula and Grero). No one will touch this topic! Its really sad.... I myself went through that system and now in the USA teaching students over here. In USA, even state universities charge students fees, but only from people who's annual income is above a certain limit. The university admission process is holistic. The poor are provided Federal student aid (not student loans, these are aids). Armed forces personnel are also provided grants for university education, so there are no " අට පාස් ආමි කාරය " in the US. I doubt anyone will change the current system.

13A does not create a federal state. It’s about decentralizing decision making equally to all provinces not just the NE. You should be more concerned about the additional layer of govt it’s going to create rather than being separatist bogeyman. SL is a small country. We don’t need 3 layers of govt. What we need is effective and efficient governance to uplift all Sri Lankans regardless of ethnicity or religion.

thanks for the constructive criticism. This is how we gonna rebuild this island nation together. Believe me when i say this, If you go and meet them, youll be amazed how easy we can contribute ideas to them effectively. Ive done that. They value our insights.
