Defect and failure correction is very important for the quality of the product being delivered. However, if the team is spending more time correcting problems than delivering new features for the product, there is a high chance that there are more serious structural problems and that simple defect corrections are just "patches."
In fact, it is difficult to know when you are at this point of poor software quality and even more complicated to correct it. Therefore, to prevent this from happening, good code construction practices and testing techniques must be used as early as possible so that we have quality at all levels of the product.
