We are so blessed that our Waldorf School is for free in Belgium! This kind of school is not only for our kids also changed our life in a positive and different way to see life ...
Hi Sarah! I've just meet you and I loved your videos, at least the ones I saw. I'm a former preschool teacher, now I am a homeschool parent. My teenager is on homeschool, but I also have a baby and I'm preparing everything I can to have my baby doing her preschool at home. I only knew about Montessori but now I'm interested about Waldorf education. Where can I find information to have a Waldorf education at home for my baby? What should I prepare? What would I need? I loved your video about Waldorf vs Montessori and it really made me think. I would really love to hear from you soon.
Excellent video! Don’t get caught up in the school and create the environment at home. We just celebrate Michaelmas the whole weekend. We brought different elements every day until culmination on Sunday. My kids go to regular public school. We have a Waldorf close by but can’t afford it. I realize Sarah advice by reading Steiner deeply. He always advocate for you to have your own realizations.
I'm delighted to have found you! I home-educated my two children, via Oak Meadow and other Waldorf-inspired curriculae. (?) I've recently been forced to change careers and have ended up teaching in a public pre-school. I'm trying to add in as much Waldorf as I can, to nurture these little souls. I'm really finding your Sunday-with-Sarah a treat and inspiration. You mentioned a blog. I can't remember the site. Are you able to post it?
I always look forward to your videos on Sunday, Sarah. Very interesting. I just wanted to say that I was inspired by your video on having a weekly candle hour. For the past 2 nights I've turned off all the lights in the living room and lit a bunch of candles instead. A great idea for saving energy. I just hope I don't burn down the house... Happy Michaelmas!
That is so lovely, Mari! It is so gratifying to know that people are finding my videos that have been recording years ago and still finding inspiration from them. Having a weekly candle hour (or evening) is such a calm and connecting ways for families to connect.
Thank you so much for adressing this question. I live in The Netherlands and my daughter attends a Waldorfschool. Which we both love. However I would really like to relocate to a small lovely village surrounded by beautiful nature (which find very important). But if we make that move she won't be able to attend a Waldorfschool anymore. Hearing this really helps me. I'm not ready to make the descision, but it helps me to trust that it will work out fine even if we decide to move. So thanks again.
I’ve just discovered your videos and they are wonderful. I live in Eastern Europe, in a small town in Romania where there are no waldorf kindergardens/schools at the moment. But we do pratice it at home, waldorf simply speaks to my heart reminding me of my own childhood in the rural parts of the country where I grew up. It is so easy to get caught up in all the beautiful toys and materials that are often very expensive but from your videos I understand that waldorf is much much more than that, it is a way of living and it’s perfectly ok if people can’t afford a waldorf school or waldorf inspired toys.
Thank you for the great video. I'm mother of a super active 2.25 year old boy baby from India. We are planning to send our boy to school from next June. I'm confused whether a Waldorf or a Montessori school would suit him. Is there a way to contact you to get some guidelines on the same ?
Thank you... I’m searching for my older son primary school and I’m so upset I don’t have a Waldorf school here in town... but we do what you suggest every single day and we’re so blessed to have a God-mother who’s a Waldorf Teacher and she’s really involved in our life, especially if we have doubts or we’re facing difficulties... Yours videos are so inspiring. Love from Italy
