And with stating that in part, accepting an alternate unobservable premiss while rejecting another means you just have another religion or are in the realm of philosophy.
The multiverse curse always leads back to the need for a creator because the existence of time and space requires it. God exists outside the bounds of time space, his existence does not require it because he made it! It came into existence at the beginning of creation of the cosmos when He spoke and nothing became something, time and space came into existence at that point. You can't debunk it, something greater than time and space had to create time and space, I know it as God, my Creator. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. John 1:1 . Simply awesome 😎
"O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and opposition of science falsely so called." I Timorhy 6:20
I’m an atheist (keep your boos, folks), former born again Christian. I find it very hard to relate to preachers and pastors, I detest their condescending sermon tone (not all but vast majority). I find Mr. Ross to be extremely relatable, extremely educated (well, duh), and extremely convincing. My disagreements with his conclusion do not come from cosmological arguments (I’m not qualified, very few of us are), but from biblical literary perspective. But if I were to pick a person or a way to get me convinced, I would take his approach.
I love when people who are NOT scientists, doctors or experts in any way shape or form.. dare to make false statements, accusations, and assumptions in attempt to falsify or question the reliability and or accuracy of these specific subject matters..When they clearly do not posses any qualifications within this field WHATSOEVER. People who attempt to make sense of their nonsense, believing in their mind they are above those who are ACTUALLY experts. These individuals specifically spent years and years... Decades.. studying, researching.. educating themselves with the factual knowledge and expertise needed to answer these types of questions. They take it very seriously. At a Q&A seminar with Frank Turek, a young man asked multiple questions regarding God's existence and how he came to be a creator... Once he was wrapping up his answer, he asked the man- If I proved to you that God does exist- would you become a Christian? He said "No. I would not. I believe in empathy and morals and would treat others as they would want to be treated" Ooookk.. Sooo WHY WHHYY WHHHYYYYYYYY why pay money, go to a Q&A seminar to speak about theology and religion etc. Then say " No" was it to waste the guests time? To try to outsmart him? To mock him? To prove to yourself you are correct? To be a jerk? If your answer is no, you've wasted everyone's time. If you're answer is no to this video. Why be here? What is the point of becoming so angry about God? Whether you believe in him or not. He's in you. He will always be. There's nothing you can do to change that. Would you rather allow ignorance to lead you & risk an eternity in hell? Or be open minded and accept you may not know the answer to all you crave to see hear and feel..you may not receive the concrete proof you feel you need. But know the purpose he has for your life is real. What happens when we die is real. We don't need to be perfect. We don't need to know everything. God is something you can feel
I realize this is not scientific however, if you know would you please answer? Where in the Bible does it say a person has to be baptized with full immersion in the water?
If you throw a rock in a lake, you create a splash. If a meteor hits the earth at an incredible velocity, what it hits could get launched outside of our atmosphere. At least that's how I understand it.
@@sherylsmerker3864 Christians follow the biblical authority of scripture when it comes to baptism. Acts 8:26 the Ethiopian euniuch went “down in the water” when Peter baptized him. The same pattern applies when Jesus was baptized. Baptism by definition is submersion in the Greek language I believe. The spiritual washing away of sins would be precluded by the immersion fully into the water which would cleanse the sinner of the filth of sin. Therefore, one should welcome the pattern set by Christ and the disciples when it comes to full immersion in to the faithful act of baptism. Read Matt 3:6 and following
Hi Dr Ross I love you I was wondering why would noah take 120 years to build the ark if he could have just moved away from where the localized flood was he had 120 years to do that and only a few family members??
Normally don't respond to YT comments as people usually don't seem sincere. But if you genuinely want to know and aren't looking to argue a point I'd suggest 1. Noah having 120 years doesn't mean he took that long. 2. Noah could have hired hundreds of workers to help him build the ship 3. 1 Peter 3 says that Noah was a preacher of righteousness. The 120 years was probably time he needed to warn people that they needed to repent (leaving town would have prevented that). 4. 1 Pet. 3 says that the flood is a picture of baptism which now saves us (vs. 21). So perhaps God wanted the flood as an important symbol for all Christians later (regardless of how local the flood may or may not have been.). Hope this helps.
Because his building the ark was a testimony to those in his generation. He was acting as a prophet. A prophet can't hide from the people. Yeshua in the gospels notes that Noah's generation was given a sign to repent... That was him building the ark. in the same way Messiah came and witnessed and was ignored and then destruction came.
i love Hugh Ross! He has a great mind and beautiful Soul. Michael Heiser great Scholar Academic and Historian. David Anders Columbus Cincinnati Catholic Diocese has a great mind and well educated. I love they can come put of the education propaganda still able to deduct and reason. David Anders, Gene Kim are amazing. I dont agree with any one person but love to listem to them. Ancient Aliens is fascinating leads to much intelligent dialogue. I love Bob Larson is extremely intelligent about world religions and cultures. We need all these great minds together. We need George Noory from ancient Aliens. That would be so powerful!!!! Greatest minds all together for discussions. I want to gather all knowledge and aspects of earliest Followers of The Way. Allso, all the great saints and great rational wise thinkers.
That’s a fallacious statement Christians have believed in science from the beginning because God created this world and every thing in it. A lot of what Hugh Ross believes is nothing more than conjecture “ multiverse “ and fossils on the moon . You call that science?? More like science fiction. Where do you find this in scripture? The Bible is our final authority not pseudoscience.
@@apostolicministermejia4598 For starters, Answer the questions. 1) Please tell us how the Bible stated that the universe had a beginning? - Big Bang! 2) Please tell us how the Bible stated that land plants came before sea animals? 3) Please tell us how the Bible stated that the Universe is expanding? 4)Please tell us how the Bible stated that there is a causal agent beyond matter, space, time, and energy? 5) Please tell us how the Bible stated 4 correct initial starting conditions of the Early Earth? 6) Please tell us how the Bible stated 10 Creation events in the correct chronological sequence? This information came from where? Aliens? Your attempt at diversion and deception by bloviating ad nauseam this distorted irrelevant gibberish in a feeble attempt to conceal the willful ignorance of a zealot, is both tiresome and telling. Ignorance can be fixed through proper education. Willful ignorance cannot be fixed because it is an individuals choice. Sadly, you suffer from the latter.
Remember when God created man HE created him complete and his age 30 or so. Same with Earth. HE created Earth with mature vegetation and animals. So not surprised that it's measurements would indicate fullness of time. Yet created in the blink of the eye.
Any thoughts on the idea that some form of a quantum internet is what actually underpins the fabric of our reality through recording and processing information? What if that is where God gets omniscience? What if that is where we get our consciousness. What if that explains the inherent laws of the universe and where the information comes from guiding them?
@Gerard Moloney Your comment deply saddens me. It seems to me you have confused dogma with true faith. True faith cannot be doubted. Dogma is doled out by the religious zealots and hypocrites. Find true faith and free yourself from the shackles of dogma!
Who said anything about them being practice galaxies? Of course, God doesn't need practice! So why all the galaxies? I don't know, but God does. And maybe Dr. Ross has some interesting things to say about them.
QUESTION what about the biblical age of Earth Compared to the biblical age of Jericho? Question where within the biblical scripture do we find a ASSERTIVE REASON TO BELIEVE THE CHURCH PULPITS THAT SAY THE SIX DAYS OF CREATION ARE OF EQUAL LENGTH AND ARE SIX 24 HOUR DAYS?
Radiometric Dating/Carbon Dating methods are still unreliable, they give many different calculations (when we test objects of known age, these methods do not line up with reality). To be reliable, Radiometric methods must be testable and confirmable, they just aren't.
Allah, in The Quran, states the following: 65:12 Allah is He Who created seven heavens, and of the earth the like thereof. The command descends among them, that you may know that Allah is Possessor of power over all things, and that Allah encompasses all things in (His) knowledge. This above verse suggests 7 multiverses or 7 parallel universes with earths like ours. Expanding Universe: 51:47 And the heaven (universe), We raised it high with power, and We are ever it’s expander.
