I love how open he is with admitting his fault like too much soda, getting lost in RU-vid videos and using 'for reference' as an excuse, not being very good with networking and needing help to keep clients happy - etc. Even the best of us have a shadow-side (in the jungian meaning), and dealing with it or improving where we want to overcome it first means seeing and accepting that it's there.

It's so heartbreaking watching these interviews knowing that he's gone and can no longer give these gifts to the world. ohh, I didn't know he had diabetes. The references he makes to not thinking positively and ending at a bad place online is worrisome. It makes me curious about his childhood or what demons he was fighting. Well, regardless, this man was just getting started. Rest in peace man.

I watched his recent interview and he said his parents didn’t really even know what he did for a living. Even this late in his career. His mom would scold him for drawing inappropriate stuff. He says he doesn’t even have his drawings in his householdS Probably very strict upbringing. Respect for going after his passion and becoming the absolute best. Pretty amazing what he can accomplish. Rip to a great human. His presence and talent can never be replaced

Never thought to get so much info about the daily life of Kim Jung Gi, i love how human and open he is to talk about his condition and personal problems as an artist, specially having a mindset about personal and team improvement. In my case being a diabetic, artist always create a strange fear inside of me. it make me remember to not burnout or try to destroy my health just for the sake of my art. and sometimes i feel like the only one with this condition.

Sad to say, Kim Jung-gi suffered a fatal heart attack in a Paris airport en route to New York at the age of 47 on 10/03/2022. RIP to a truly great draftsman.

that was simply amazing interview, proko channel has a very authentic interviewing methods. ive just recently started sketching, drawing and all art thing, its amazing how this is turning out to be, m just loving the science of art how it can be so dynamic and mostly interesting even the theory part of the art as compared to most other fields. hope proko and superani reveal more free lessons, ive learned a lot from them in these past two months

Thanks for being professional in caring for both your audience and respecting your and fellow artist’s worth by not recycling content for the sake of recycling. You’ve struck a good balance of casual, conversational and professional that allows me to enjoy your content to the fullest. I love the draftsmen podcast as I’m glad you didn’t edit out the frustration from the latter videos when questions, although using different words, repeated the same message.
