Best thing about California olive oil is their certification. All California olive oils must be certified and tested to be pure. That’s why I buy them.
Helpful info. Especially about California Olive Ranch EVOO (you made me feel more comfortable about purchasing California Olive Ranch oil containing mixed oils globally) and the olive oils purchased from mixed box stores. BTW I liked your digression about your favorite book - The World Atlas.
I was on the web researching extra vergin olive oil and this is what I found about terra delyssa olive oil ,which stated 90% refined olive oil and 10% extra virgin olive oil. So what does this really mean as far as the quality……is this accurate?
So as I understand it - this is why any “blend” is iffy territory- the labeling for oils is not well regulated so what is refined oil? Lots of things - including lamp grade oil….easy answer I stick with is olives grown pressed and bottled in the same place. California Olive ranch is an American option - just read the labels carefully if they ARE grown pressed and bottled in one place they will proudly label that info clearly for you - sometimes even a scan code to their web site for their full story is right on a bottle.
