Actually I think the reviewer might have been asleep for a few, I flew this route in September 2022 and there was a hot meal and snack to Singapore, and then two hot meals and a mid flight snack to London.
Nice to see youtuber flying ultra long haul in economy instead of the luxury classes that most of us can't afford. Oh...and wish I had a bladder that could deal with the windows seat. Returned this week from Copenhagen with SQ. This will be the last time I do ultra long haul in economy. If I can't afford PE or better I won't go. Oh and my flights were like creches!
Most of us that fly economy don't have the opportunity to enjoy a first class lounge. I'd find it difficult to sleep in a seat that only reclined a few inches, but I suppose if I were tired enough I'd do some substantial naps. I wouldn't be pleased with the meal they served you, but I suppose that's the risk you take when you sit in the last row and have to accept whatever is left.
2:08 Amazing split-flap display. Often used as a public transport timetable in airports or railway stations, as such they are often called Solari boards after Italian display manufacturer Solari di Udine, or in Central European countries they are called Pragotron after the Czech manufacturer. (Wikipedia) Split-flap displays were once commonly used in consumer digital clocks known as flip clocks.
Is that where you have departures and arrivals on two screens side by side like in a large railway station? Pragotron is a really cool ass high tech company name! I bet it's a great employer over there. I kinda wish I could go get a good employment with a great work cutlure and have really fun weekends and vacation times. You mighta always heard the USA is the greatest country, but it's not for it just sucks.
@@TUBESPECIFIC1 Yes, correct. But I haven't noticed that it is like a simple screen imitating a real Solari split-flat display, isn't it? These displays are or were used in many airports. You can see a real one here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UAQJJAQSg_g.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cj32w5z81Ak.html (this one is best in 360p video quality).
Thank you for muting the clips of the descend into London and replacing it with music, good choice there. I can tell that must’ve been really painful and irritating to listen to during a moment of great views. Parents should not be bringing toddlers on long haul flights, they must wait until their kid is mature enough for that or make sure they’re well trained parents. Overall, good video. 👍
Flew the exact same route on the exact same plane and registration back in November 2022😂 Great experience tho! When I landed in Heathrow, it was still dark at 6am, so now i get to see what it was like at sunrise
@@user-xi3wl8ge9e it depends where on the route. I remember there was some turbulence but it wasn't too bad. Definitely not as bad as some other routes I've flown before
Qantas flies this route every day and you'd think that they could carry enough of the popular meals for their customers. But I bet they run out every day, this is an airline that doesn't care.
Your flight experience looked absolutely awful. However, all was rewarded on descent into London Heathrow. This really is your best work to date. Brilliant video and soundtrack. We done !👏🏽 Create a RU-vid short of the landing please for the world to see!
Just to point out but it can be extremely dangerous not to dim the lights on landing. That's because if you have to evacuate the plane your eyes will have to adjust and that is fatal
I will guarantee the reason they left the lights on was a marketing trick. From the ground the plane looks really good in the sky with all lights blazing. That's QANTAS's thinking nowadays. Bring back the old days.
@@yuenbarnby8228 they actually did this a few years ago when they started lighting up the tail and all the windows till someone raised the safety issue. Totally agree about the A380. Just wish old money hungry Joyce felt the same and kept buying them, but bean counters rule supreme. Actually I wish they bought the 747-8. I really feel that on our ultra long flights the 748 just may have delivered the fuel figures they wanted.
Yeah there are plenty of shops, it is a pretty short refuelling stop so there isn’t a lot of time to do much. They also clean the aircraft so you do need to take your hand luggage with you.
The MD has completely wrecked that airline. We have seen bad story after bad story since the Airline restarted its overseas operations. Jetstar had an extraordinary event this week with passengers after a 6 hour delay then a 10 hour flight to Bali the plane landing back in Melbourne. Somebody at Qantas forgot to tell the Indonesians that the Aircraft type had been changed, which is a serious situation. Not to worry though the MD has received his multi million dollar salary. I stopped flying Qantas in 2010.
Joyce was under payed he just sold one of his multi multi million dollar homes in Sydney just to get by, he never even got to live in it with his husband poor guys 😢 I wonder if Ms Hudson will do better?
@@jonsant7232 I doubt it. Look back before the pandemic. One year he really did well. He has interests in companies in Asia that have tied in contracts with Qantas.
I'll never fly Qantas again or Jetstar. I was so loyal to them but lit appears loyalty goes one way only. Our emails have been ignored so customer service is not on their radar as far as I am concerned.
Great until you moaned about crying children . Clearly you don’t understand that young children don’t know how to adjust the pressure and pain they feel when descending …
No I understand it, I just didn’t think it was very pleasant background noise for a rather pretty landing. I understand that they can’t help it but I also know it’s not what my audience wants to hear.
Well… if a parent knows beforehand that he immerses his child into such a horrible torture, isn’t that child abuse? Petition started : no more little screamers on board?
Babies are scared and their ears hurt. I remember the first time I flew my ears hurt so bad I screamed out loud and I was about 22 years old just freaking out on it.
