Hello! the flight between Sydney and Auckland is not too long. About 3.2 hrs. And you´ll be landing, crossing the SoluthPacific Ocean. in a vey reliable plane the Boeing 737-800. I¨m, a Mexican Citizen and did the flight in this jet between Mexico City and Cancun with aeromexico. in only 2 hours. Thanks a lot.

No doubt about it, Australia generally has far better weather than its neighbour - Auckland can be very gloomy on an overcast day. New Zealand certainly is at its best when the sun eventually comes out.

New Zealand gets colder than Australia though, and Australia can get gloomy on an overcast day in the coastal parts.

View out of Sydney was spectacular. What was not spectacular was the onboard food, looks dreadful!

Yes, that food did not look too good. I would've thought that a flight from Sydney to Auckland would be on a bigger wide-body aircraft, and that narrow-bodies would be more for shorter domestic flights such as Sydney to Melbourne, Sydney to Brisbane, Sydney to Hobart.

@@alvexok5523Sydney to Auckland is just a two and a half hour flight, which is too short for a wide body. I mean in the United States, most of the six hour domestic flights are flown with narrow bodies and not wide bodies.

The food looked good to me. I had flown with Jetstar, which had a decent lasagna, though food, snacks, and drinks on Jetstar are not free.
