What kind of blackmail does Sam Darnold have over the sports media world? I’ve never seen someone drafted so high who was so below average for so long, and yet everyone still believes he’s gonna turn it around and be good.
Agreed, he is talked about way too much. Always some excuse. The cream rise to the top, he has never risen. I get it, he's been on crap teams. CJ Stroud went to bottom dweller and we saw what happened when a good QB comes to play, the rest of the team steps up. Who knows maybe Sam will make us all believers this year, but ya, probably not.
I don’t get it either. When a good player is on a back team, the player usually has his moments and shines…. Sam darnold never did on any of this teams at any point
Mariota and Winston are basically the same. It has to be something behind the scenes that keeps them getting contracts because Manziel never got another sniff.
“You did your job as a mom or dad” he says about giving kids an unapproved supplement, I know people come on her to promote a movie, tv show, or brands. But Rich supporting unapproved supplements for 14 year old is disgusting, unfortunately going to have to take a break from Rich Eisen show and go back to FS1. I don’t care about products, but when it’s garbage targeted at kids who don’t know better can’t support this anymore. Isn’t it a coach’s job to teach their athletes about nutrition, not “buy this product i made to mix in your water and that’s all you’ll ever need”
Seriously, I feel like it's still the 1800's, people trying to sell these magic cures, but today it's all backed up by BS pseudo science horseshittery.
Any “health” product from these types is almost certainly a scam. Eat fresh fruit and vegetables. Get your proteins, vitamins and minerals from whole foods. Carbs are good but not a ton of starchy dense breads. Drink nothing but water, fruit juice, and coffee if that’s your thing. Exercise 3-5 times a week for at least an hour a day. Stretch, do yoga, and take break days. There, free advice that I don’t need to sell you.
It’s “you can’t fool the players” when they say something that fits the medias narrative, but when it doesn’t fit they say “oh we’ll just throw that out” 😂😂😂
Allen being most overrated is basically a compliment. The only way you get hated on as bad as Allen gets it is by being so awesome. And talking a lot of crap probably makes other players feel a certain way too. Lol
Or, the media and bills mafia anointing him as a top 3 when he's clearly a 4-8 guy might have something to do with it. But ya know, who uses logical thinking these days 🙄
I think it's mostly that he throws 3 picks with zero blowback compared to literally every other qb. He's either Jekyll or Hide and no real inbetween imo. That factor alone kinda knocks him from the elite category for me but I get why a lot of people throw him up there. I just think he's sloppy.
This Sam darnold stuff has to stop. Nobody has failed upwards more than darnold. He’s gotten plenty of chances and he’s just not good. Mentioning his name with a baker mayfield type of 2023 season is embarrassing. Baker had stretches in Cleveland where he played well & was a contributing factor to winning a playoff game in Cleveland he just got caught in a bad situation where he got hurt and Cleveland stupidly traded for Deshaun Watson so baker was left without a team for a little bit. But when he got back on a normally ran team, he won a qb battle and back to who he was in Cleveland
How about feed your kids while food and not chicken fingers, French fries and pizza all of which are served at every little league or youth football snack stands.
Shocking that guy who turns the ball over more than anyone is considered overrated by his peers. But the media can keep creating the false narrative that Josh Allen is a superstar. The players know what's up.
Allen had a better total td/int ratio, less fumbles, 15 more total touchdowns, and 400 more total yards than the mvp last year. He’s the second best qb in the league, it’s just unfortunate that people see high ints and ignore the rest of the stats.
