Yes it does. Schindler's List is a fantastic score; one of the very best but this beats it. There is a story around that. When Speilberg was making Schindler's List he wanted the very best composer to write the score. He called in John Williams and asked him if he wanted to undertake the project. Williams said that he would like to but he felt he is not good enough. Without missing a beat, Speilberg said that he knows he is not good enough but all those who would be good enough are dead. Williams did a fantastic job.
I remember renting this film on video cassette years ago. The story blew me out of the water! I was totally caught up into the movie until the gripping conclusion. The film score is gorgeous!!
Me too! Rented on VHS out of curiosity. I usually don’t go for courtroom films, because I feel that I get lost in details & people’s names. However, for whatever reason, I rented QBVII. And I found it one of the most compelling stories ever.
Haunting, stirring music. I have the original vinyl lp on ABC Records. To this day I still recall Jerry's heartfelt plea (in the liner notes) for world peace.
@@MrBretHampton Thanks for your work! I think I may have the vinyl soundtrack, so evocative. Sometimes you can see a scene, a face in your mind's eye when the music calls it up. so long ago. Lately watching remnant VHS, long story. Feel old.
@@daphnewilson7966 I just remembered one of the screenwriters, Edward Anhalt was also my instructor at that school. He was a master at adapting novels and helped John Milius on Jeremiah Johnson.
