This is a very pretty city. Thanks for sharing. This is where lots of Germans live, I heard. Well, more than any other city in China. Seeing European architecture in China I'm not going to lie, it's pretty cool.
I just got offered a job in Qingdao. I was working and living in Shanghai for 10 years, but right now I'm back in Los Angeles. Your video has made me want to accept the job offer even more! Thank you. Cheers
Try and get to know a South African gentleman whose name is Jerry Goode and who lives and works in Qingdao. He also has a RU-vid channel by the name of Jerry Goode
If you have a local friend, you can ask him/her to bring you to Yankou, the seafood is cheaper, the beach is cleaner, less crowded as well. you can appreciate the blue sea in front of you meanwhile the green mountain is behind you, it is like Switzerland with a much more reasonable price.
I'm living near Fushan. My family's after-dinner exercise is hiking aroud Fushan national park, yes, it's a park and much more beautiful than the video now.
I don’t get paid at all. All videos I make are based on my life and experiences while living here in China. I enjoy living in China and want to show everyone how beauty this country is. Have you ever been?
Thank you for sharing with us this beautiful city. Qingdao in Chinese literally means "green island". The city tourism authority should pay you for your work because you have done a better job than they did. I hope to visit Qingdao someday.
Stunning beauty. Never heard of this city until I watched your video. Most definitely a must see destination if I ever travel to China. Thanks for bringing this awesome video to us. By the way, is it expensive to holiday and have a decent meal there ?
Thanks for the support! Really appreciate it! Qingdao is a Tier 2 city so the prices are reasonable. If you want to stay at a 5* western style hotel you certainly will pay under £100 a night. It’s affordable for a holiday and the prices for food are reasonably cheap, western food will be a little more expensive though. Hope that helps :D
Thanks for this. I really miss being in QD. It was my second home for many years (pre-pandemic) and it was nice to see many of the places that I am so familiar with in this video.
Love this video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
Thanks for the comment. Qingdao has some great night markets (one in Taidong and one in Licun). Both markets can be accessed easily by the subway, on Line 2. They have lots of souvenirs, small gifts, phone cases and food! I’m not too sure about where to find the best electronics place but ‘Dian zi xin xi cheng’/ ‘电子信息城’ should have everything you need. It’s a street full of electronic stores and mini malls. Hope this helps 😊
@@navystud21 There are many shops which sell good quality clothes for a reasonable price. All malls have a variety of Chinese, western and luxury styles to choose from. There is also the online shopping app called Taobao. Many good options everywhere!
I'm visiting Qingdao for the first time from Canada in October! Super excited! Do you have any seafood restaurant recommendations? We're staying in the Shinan District :D
Amazing! There are many great restaurants in Shinan District and there will certainly be lots of choice for food. I have personally been to a few seafood restaurants on Yunxiao Road, hope you get the chance to go there too. Enjoy your trip to Qingdao. If you have any questions, please ask away ☺️
@@Wellspring604 I recommend the beer museum, hiking Laoshan ( If you are into that sort of thing), going to the beach, seeing the light show at May 4th Square and exploring the Old Town.
Looks amazing. What is the weather like from June to August? We were in Beijing in June 2024 and enjoyed the bright blue sky, low humidity, and breezy wind.
I am curious whether Qingdao is having heat waves like some other cities in Asia. I think being next to the ocean should help even though it is more humid.
Humidity depends on how hot the weather is. There is more humidity toward the equator and subtropical and tropical countries because the heat evaporated the water from the ocean to make water vapor in the air (humidity). Qingdao is in the northern part of China with high altitude, so there won’t be as much heat to evaporate the water into water vapor.
Hi! Loved your video. I moved to Qingdao last month and already love it! I bought a mountain bike but I'm having trouble finding trails so I can escape into nature. It'd be awesome if u could tell me some good places to escape to nature to on my bike. Cheers!
Thanks for sharing this beautiful city. Your video is very informatic. I really like this video. It is very inspiring to me to hear your experiences, lifestyle living in China as expat. Like to see more videos from you.
all the site in your video I have got there, my university is located in qingdao, i spent 4 years in this city and also harvest a lot good memory ,i miss this city ,so familiar ,watching your video is like the past memory shows again, thanks alot.
Your video is great, but the map that appears in the first 45 seconds of the video is wrong, Taiwan is an island of China, it is a province of China, not a country.
I lived there for many years and met my wife and married there !! It's one of the nicest cities in China. I still miss it alot and we hope to go back to visit family next year .
I think I’ll have to disagree. I lived in Shenzhen for 8 months and it wasn’t for me. I guess that depends on personal interests and hobbies. What do you like about Shenzhen?
I am Asian , welcome to travel in Asian countries , Tokyo Japan , Seoul Korea , Shanghai China , Hong Kong , Taipei Taiwan , Manila Philippines , Bangkok Thailand , Kuala Lumpur Malaysia , Singapore , Jakarta Indonesia
@@kimberleyexploring It is peaceful. Been here for 7 months now. Nothing much to do I guess unless maybe if you go in Yantai city. I just bike around the town
@@koi8670 biking around is always fun, the weather is getting nicer too! It’s a great place for the beach and a chilled time. Have you visited the temples? I thought they were absolutely beautiful!
simplified-Chinese map without Taiwan province should get weird a little bit, and the translation of North Korea is wrong in simplified Chinese, it's better changed a version of map into pure english as better, or it would make hurt Chinese people
Thank you for this information. I will certainly remember this for future videos. I am now aware of the map and will make sure it if corrected for future videos, or like you said, I’ll use an English one! Thank you for your input, I do not want to offend anyone. 😊
Hiya! Thanks for the support! Wow! Australia! That’s on the bucket list for sure, list a few places you’d recommend and I’ll try hard to make it there one day. ☺️
@@kimberleyexploring Perth for beautiful beaches and cute photos with Quokkas; Melbourne for the best coffee and most diverse range of delicious foods; Brisbane for the beach surfer life
Great question! I just know the basics to be honest and that’s more than enough for me to get around. I’d recommend learning the basics! Or you can also manage by using translating apps 😊
Very informative video. Shows China in a very positive light. Do you think China is a good country for struggling peoples from all over world who have endured years of Wars, Famine, Disease, Economic Hardships, Religious Persecution, Ethnic Cleansing, to immigrate to and begin a new life? Let's hope your videos help spreads the good welcoming word that China has plenty of jobs and excellant conditions for a new beginning at life.
