A recommendation from the 2019 Queensland Mining Industry Health and Safety Conference was to develop a series of short videos to help Mine Operators communicate critical safety and health information to mine workers. This video is the second video in the series of 5 short videos in relation to mine safety and health in Queensland. The Queensland Mining Industry Health and Safety Conference is committed to investing profits in projects designed to benefit mine workers in our industry. These videos are just one example of that. This video is intended to assist Mine Operators, Senior and Supervisory Positions and Mine Workers (including Contractors) understand the legislation, their obligations and how to discharge them in a practical sense. The object of the legislation is to protect the safety and health of persons at mines and persons affected by operations and ensure the risk of injury and illness from operations is at an acceptable level. This video is intended to assist all persons achieve that object.
