Man I cannot express how happy I am I found this amazing channel. God. Speaking of frankenstein spyders from the early 2000s... The now defunct spyder forums was my LIFE in high school. After drooling over custom milled hand crafted Vikings all day it eventually occurred to me that my spyder shutter needed work, and a lot of it. By the end of 2003 that shutter was a completely new marker. It had all aftermarket internals, a fancy regulator, a couple new barrels, a new electronic trigger that cost me more than could possibly have been justified for a spyder and I even replaced the body with a bob long millenium body (only spyder-esque body worth buying) so I could get enough internal volume to lower my pressure to 200 or so. It was actually a fucking awesome gun by the end of things and I'd learned a TON but at that point I could have had a bushmaster. Oh well, it was mine and I loved it. In college I sold it for 100 bucks to pay for a road trip. I now own a Promaster lol.
Last time I went paint balling I was 14 years old. I am 26 now and just recently got back into it. Now that I am older with a good paying job, I am able to buy a mid range gun, along with a great mask/hopper/tank that I've always wanted as a kid. But after discovering qmto channel, I always think back to my very first gun that I regret selling on craigslist (spyder rodeo).. This video especially brought back great memories of when Paint balling was at its peak. So THANK YOU QMTO for bringing back the memories!!
smart parts ion, wgp prostock and I just got a wgp trilogy that was converted to pump. I'm now getting into air ball so I am using a mini and a dangerous power g4 for now until I can get a axe pro. it's so nice being an adult now lol
Jeremy Sazon I definitely agree. When I first started I believe I was like 13 or so. Just now getting back into it. This guys videos were entertaining back then when all I use to think about was paintball.
Great stuff dude, seems like you took some inspiration from Regular Car Reviews (correct me if I'm wrong) and It's really cool to see Mr. Regular's "style" of reviewing things in paintball.

I had this gun, thought I was upgrading from a beginner spyder (e99) to a "tournament" level gun. Still have it and am planning on giving it to my friend who is new to the sport
I bought a agd Ptp micromag for 280$ with extra trigger grip , hp air tank. Back in 2002. No spider can compare. Rt firing shoots dumb fast. I still have it and works just like when I bought it.
I love the jam bolt for any rate under 10 bps or so. The acs bolts in spiders worked great at these speeds. I know it's trendy to trash spyders, but the acs bolt was a great upgrade over previous bolt systems.
I still have mine in the spider case, it was my first gun ever n yea I got hooked quick n ever since I learned more did research n ended up with bob long Timmy
my first real gun was the spyder elektra with rocking trigger and acs bolt. worked great on 3 round burst with a VL evolution 2 hopper and hpa tank. bought it off a friend for like $80 he never used it lol maybe since the spring on the acs bolt was brand new it worked so well. My cocking pin broke off and flew into the woods also i just put mini screw driver in my pocket to cock it just in case.
I can relate. I had a Spyder flash LCD. I dumped so much money into upgrades and it still sucked. They had a whole line of guns that were the same. all they did was slap on an eframe and change the name and color.
First electro was a spyder flash purple splash anno in 2002. For wgat it was i shot fine with a halo. It was my gateway drug into the money pit sport of tourny style pb.
I still got one in mint condition,only used maybe 10 times,i put the rocker trig on it!...now im takin the rocker off and going to sell it.shit its still a good one for back in the day
Thanks for this nostalgia I just popped my pilot out of storage and my god it’s such a pain in the ass! The bolt won’t stay cocked but my guess it’s because there’s no balls and I’m dry firing it.
Paintball mag what fun is that lol. I was gonna Just get a virtue board. I have someone with one brand new. I have been upgrading it since I got it. so far, CP reg, tech t bolt, CP drop foward with on off asa.
the blackheart goes down to eight and I believe the stock board does ten with the right settings. Be careful with the battery harness, its really easy to tear out the wires (I've done it many times)
The ion got me into paintball 10 years ago. Pretty much upgraded everything except the board. With all the money I spent on upgrades I should have just bought a better gun. The only must upgrade is the bolt and reg honestly. That l7 bolt was fantastic, different gun. One mod I did myself was Dremel out the back of the body to get to the bolt easier. Not true bolt out back but infinitely easier than taking the battery out, separating the grip from the body and breach, unlocking the banjos, removing body from breach...it was laboring.
I still have my original pilot acs... I heard so much negative about it... I've never had a chopped ball... I've had jams... but none were chopped... the only 1 time I've had a ball explode in the gun was when I used some 2 year old balls that were left in the sun. I've had it serviced 1 time. The only thing I have replaced was this pin on the side of the gun that I lost.. oh and the battery wouldn't recharge 2 years ago so I replaced it. I still have my evo3 egg hopper. When I took it to be serviced everyone couldn't believe how the gun still held up over all the years... I can take a pic or vid and sent it to ya if you don't believe... I'm not defending the gun as I know not all these people can be wrong, I guess I was just lucky and I took good care of my gun
Why did spyder even make an anti jam bolt the only successful anti jam bolt I’ve seen is the tippman anti jam bolt those actually work on mid grade and lower paint
This was my gun when I was younger lol. I was so siked when I got it and it let me down so much LOL. 3 round burst , 6 round burst, and full auto never worked it chopped all of the balls LOL. So much for “anti chop”

Umm except for the fact that 99% of pb players start off with a shitty tippmans or spider so we do know the feeling of having to use absolute garbage guns
