An album that makes me cry every time I hear it. Lost a very good friend a few days before this album dropped. Tell your people you love them while you can.
Don't cry- With my toes on the edge it's such a lovely view... Inside- I never loved anything until I loved you Confide- I'm over the edge, what can I do? Sunshine- I've fallen through...
+itillbeme1 This describes it perfectly. I like turning it up in the car, drive and just get those little tingles that only some songs can give you. They are probably my favourite band, great sound, good lyrics, they know how to have fun too.
Michael Shuman is totally under-rated, despite doing kick ass harmonies the guy is a shit hot bassist who knows just what to play and locks right in with the drums. His presence on stage is admirable too.
I return to this video once every six months or so. Quite honestly my favourite live performance of any track ever, the heavily extended outro is something else man. What a band
first time- literal lack of doubt it will be the last. they really are the acme of live performance every time. without fail. since the first time I saw them in 2000. always moving like a shark.
This version of Queens is the most professional and might just be the best. I LOVE Grohl but everything here works so well. And seeing them live in concert is like watching James Brown's band going up. They're all just musical assassins who know exactly what they're doing. And Mikey's basslines are so smooth.
Jake Hoffman I rarely listen to a song for the 1st time and say "WOW. That's it. That's my favorite song ever." That happened the first time i heard this song. And I the extended live version is even better if that's possible. A masterpiece of a song that's truly underestimated.
+Jake Hoffman The whole album is a Masterpiece.I've been a fan of Josh Homme since the mid-90's when he was in KYUSS and I love everything he has done but the latest Q.O.S.T.A. album is by far my favorite body of work that he has ever created.
This might be the best dueling guitar solo in the modern rock catalogue. Backed by top notch drumming, great keyboards by an under rated musician, and some of the best bass work to date. Damn good song.
Im a big metalhead and this shit is fantastic. Its nice to hear each instrument leveled nicely and separated in a live mix. A lot of metal is just chainsaw guitar with drums and vocals, with bass never taking a front seat. Love it. QOTSA is a stellar band. They take me back to playing need for speed underground 2...
@@spiritualconnection4807 i think this is their best song ever, and LC is their best album by a hair over SFTD. Villains is really nice, too. and no, there are no bad albums.
that bit where josh goes falsetto (though it's not the same here) and that really high-pitched riff starts going...man i just lose it every time. this is the perfect qotsa song for me, kicks ass but respects the poppy hooks, both aggressive and beautiful. thank god for this band, really.
It's got a certain something, doesn't it? It definitely evokes strong emotion in me. When he starts singing along with that part playing on the guitar it's like the crescendo of hopelessness in the song. Gets me every time, I always get chills.
QOTSA is a beacon of light in the abyss that is modern rock music. These guys are one of the last bands who haven't had their souls ripped out by music executives. It's sad people have to settle for Imagine Dragons or One Republic these days.
+Jake Connelly yes thank you !!! i like both mikey and nick and i think they each brought something of their own to queens. (well mikey still brings something to queens haha)
6:11 the all familiar " your up" look. Anyone who's ever been in a band knows that look. haha. This song is a masterpiece. Hopefully they get back in the studio soon.
I remember listening to the sneak preview of this song for the longest time while waiting for the album and loving this song. but when I finally got to hear the track all of the way through for the first time, holy fuck I could not have imagined anything better. I sincerely teared up it was that beautiful. My favorite band forever
Same here man, this became my favorite song all time, I'm even thinking on tattooing "I'm with my toes on the edge, is such a lovely view" because of it
Little Red Hen I absolutely love QOTSA and Tool, maybe I should give Tame Impala a try. What do you recommend to someone who’s never heard anything by them?
Jason dude the less I know the better and Let it happen are my two favorite Tame Impala songs!!! If you like them I’d give Love/Paranoia a listen as well
legasiguy THANK YOU FOR SAYING THIS! Everyone always argues about what Queens album is the best and that "Josh changed", or "I can't listen to their new stuff, it's not old qotsa" but that's the point of releasing new music. it's to create different songs and make new sounds. People compare the old queens stuff to the new stuff but they're not even comparable in my opinion. It's all fucking amazing in it's own right
Aidan that's what great artist is, they always changing, people wanted their favourite artist to stay the same and doesn't evolve is beyond me. it's like they prefer the beatles to do/write please please me all their whole career. that's just idiotic.
I think they really evolved nicely and gave us sthg different with each album. But they were already good from the get-go, with their 3-piece robot rock!
What an epic of a song!! Very well composed and rehearsed! That’s not just a song you write and play it’s more of a journey. It’s like what we would want from magical mystery tour!
Awesome tune, in my opinion is an effing masterpiece. Too bad I saw them in London the 2nd night and they did not include it in the setlist. Instead, they played 'Better living through chemistry', spectacular song which they played for like ten minutes. Either way... ¡¡Vivan las Reinas de la Edad de Piedra!!
Probably the best song written in the last ten years. Brilliant work all the way around and an amazing live performance. If you've never seen Queens perform this song live, I genuinely feel sorry for you.
Mikey always looks like he is playing the most challenging line ever. This song is extremely fast and complex, the bass is incredible. How anyone could think Nick Oliveri would be better for Queens is beyond me.
***** for what they were playing back then, Oliveri was better for Queens. But they have changed a lot from the drug crazed beginnings. I do prefer Mikey though
I love this song so much. I listend to it so often in hospital when I thought I appear missing… but the guitar, the voice, the drums and everything saved me. Thank you Queens!
Recently heard about this band. WtheF have I been? Like all bands, GREAT songs and some you don't like. Over all. I'm glad a friend turned me on to them.
I come here when I want to listen to a perfect song. Qotsa are just in their perfection state. Just mind blowing. So emotional! F… Top. See them twice alive. Just amazing. Rock still lives! Love you guys! Rock on
This was so beautiful. Absolutely loved this version of the song. Gives you a completely different view of what seemingly is the same than the album version but in reality are two songs that set each their own mood and surroundings. Fucking graceful.
Calling all comas, Prisoner on the loose Description: A spitting image of me Except for a heart-shaped hole where the hope runs out Shock me awake Tear me apart Pinned like a note in a hospital gown Prison of sleep Deepened now A rabbit hole never to be found Again Where are you hiding, my love? Cast off like a stone Feelings, raw and exposed when I'm out of control Pieces were stolen from me But dare I say, given away Watching the water give in As I go down the drain I appear missing now I go missing, No longer exist One day I hope I'm someone you'd met Shock me awake Tear me apart Pinned like a note in a hospital gown Deeper I sleep Further down A rabbit hole never to be found It's only falling in love Because you hit the ground Dancing on wire both ends are on fire Cut me loose Nowhere to run, no more room to pretend Wandering along the road in the summer night I go missing, No longer exist One day I hope I'm someone you'd met Shock me awake Tear me apart Pinned like a note in a hospital gown Deeper I sleep Further down A rabbit hole never to be found Don't cry With my toes on the edge it's such a lovely view Inside I never loved anything until I loved you Inside I'm over the edge, what can I do? Inside I never loved anything until I loved you Don't cry With my toes on the edge it's such a lovely view Inside I never loved anything until I loved you Inside I'm over the edge, what can I do? Inside I've fallen through
I honestly think this is a lot better then the short version as it does this song incredibly good justice and makes an already epic song much more epic.
