Get the CP12 powered loudspeaker here: imp.i114863.ne...
Get the CP8 here: imp.i114863.ne...
NOTE: In the video, the frequency range stated for both speakers is incorrect. The correct frequency ranges are:
CP12 - 47Hz to 20kHz
CP8 - 53Hz to 20kHz
QSC's CP Series packs premium performance into a compact powered loudspeaker. Beneath these speakers' rugged exterior lurks an efficient Class D amplifier and more DSP than you can shake a stick at. Its light weight makes this speaker child's play to load, carry, and lift, so it's ideal for a wide range of portable and installed applications. You can use your CP speaker as a single-box PA system via its built-in 3-channel mixer, or integrate it with a larger system with ease. The CP works equally well on a speaker pole, as a floor monitor, or as an instrument amplifier.

Just a couple of quick notes in response to some comments below, there is no similarity to this product line and a Legacy K Series model. They utilize a completely new amplifier, drivers, enclosure, user interface, etc intended for customers that want a speaker with QSC quality and reliability, but at a value price point! It's also worth pointing out that when paired with a QSC KS112 compact subwoofer, the CP8's make a compact and massive-sounding DJ PA system that's great for weddings, parties, and events!

I would like to know,is the sound is softly or hard,i need to replace my old EV SXA 360 for boxes more light but in a good sound quality,im using backingtracks and vocals for my gig,so im not a DJ,will appreciate ur opinion,thanks

Finally someone has spoken about the sub ext. The QSC site doesn't even mention it.

Not much of a review. Basically just a reading of the spec sheet. More of a comparison to known boxes (like the K.2s or the original Ks) would have made this more helpful.

I'm probably not alone being frustrated with so many reviews that just talk about the buttons. I'd like to know more about the sound quality and what they are best suited for. I play in a duo (vox and acoustic guitars) and would like a system that would give us the best sound inside and out.

I wonder if I use my guitar processor and direct in with mic or need a mixer?

I still ise an HPR rig. Yea, it's a little on the heavy side for one person but it does sound good. I have done metal bands in pretty big club rooms with that system and it cover great.

Excellent concise review! Thank you. Is the QSC CP 12 still available at Sweetwater? And is it suitable for singers?

If the sound and build quality is indeed comparable to the K series, the CP12s might just be what every gigging keyboard player needs ... Right now I'm all set up with powered speakers, but maybe I'll update to the CP12 to have that 12" bass.

Did you change them? I'm keyboard player and I'd need a speaker that's powered enough for 100 people. What's your experience?

Yeah, I don't like that they call these "reviews". They are "adds". A review presents a subjective unbiased report on the useage of the product which is completely opposite from what this is. I would call this a marketing "view". I'm getting a single for Christmas so, I watch these for a little education and scope. Looking forward to having one for solo acoustic things.

Quick question which speaker would be more suitable for a worship band for. Instruments and singers?
@sweetwater
@sweetwater 5 лет назад
Hi, Xo! For the worship band setting, I would lean more towards the CP12 rather than the CP8. You have a larger driver in there that will be able to really accentuate all of the players in the ensemble. If the budget allows, I would also look into the QSC K series and look at the K.12 speaker. It is one of the most popular power speakers on the market and sounds phenomenal. Let us know if you have any other questions! Maryann Shirley, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1774

Which Is The Best Loudspeaker For Live Show & Studio :- Mackie Thump 15 Or Qsc CP 12
@sweetwater
@sweetwater 5 лет назад
Hi, Faraz. Thank you for reaching out! I personally would not use either of these in studios as monitors. They are purposely built for live sound applications. They are pretty different speakers, and depending on the application they are being used would determine which one is best. Give me a call or send me a message and we can iron out the details! Which of them would be enough for 100 people outside?
@sweetwater
@sweetwater 3 года назад
Hey, Luis. Thank you for reaching out about this. Your needs can vary depending on what type of event you are having when you need to cover the 100 people. I would personally go with at least two CP12 speakers if you are wanting to do music at all. If it is just a speaker or presentation you could go with two CP8's. If there is anything else we can help with, please reach out. Thanks, Grant Embury, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1647, Grant_embury@Sweetwater.com

Is it suitable for acoustic drum with mic ?
@sweetwater
@sweetwater 8 месяцев назад
Hey there! Yes, the CP series can certainly handle a mic’d up drum kit. Now, there are certainly plenty of other factors to consider along with that; size of room you’re playing in, how many channels will be run, what kind of instrumentation, etc. With all that said, the CP series sound great, and can certainly handle some volume if need be. Feel free to reach out if you’d want to chat through everything a bit further! Nick Pasquino, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 3230, nick_pasquino@sweetwater.com

Anyone compared CP12 with the Yamaha DBR12?
@radientproductions9799
@radientproductions9799 5 лет назад
These are pretty much the original k8 and k12s in a lighter case and much cheaper price
@davemccall9594
@davemccall9594 5 лет назад
The DSP/interface is a bit simplified on the the CP series compared to the K.2s. The CP series has the 6-selector switch for different DSP modes. The K.2 series has an LCD screen and a selector encoder for more granular control options and more preset modes. The K.2 series also has much more power. If you don't need the granular DSP control and the extra power that the K.2 series offers, the CP series looks like an amazing value.

I couldn't agree more. I was like, "oh... they brought back the K8 with deep mode."

I know these have been recently released, but it would be nice if someone was able to do comparison between the CP 12 and the EV Zlx or any other.

I use ZLX for monitors. They are nice but they have issues with heat. especially out doors with the sun beating on them. some times they just quit. some protection mode. turn the switch off and back on and they reboot just fine. i would be scared to use them as front speakers for an important gig. fine for club bands and such. they sound better than JBL's lol

how good are the cp8 for Stage monitor for a live musical band?
@sweetwater
@sweetwater 4 года назад
Hey, Manny1286. Appreciate you reaching out and checking out our videos. The QSC CP8 speakers are an amazing speaker at a great price point. The CP8's make really good speakers for FOH and monitor use. They have a ton of SPL, 124db, for a small speaker and have a built in 1000 watt class D amp. The built in EQ settings work really well for tuning the speaker to your application, as well as the box design with the wedge shape helping to aim the speaker for monitor wedge, make this a great FOH or monitor speaker. The only thing I would say about running these as a monitor would be to take the size of your venues into account. These will work great for medium and small venues, but you might want to look at the 12's for even using two per person for larger venue's. If there is anything else we can help with, please reach out. Thanks, Grant Embury, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1647, Grant_embury@Sweetwater.com

Can We Use QSC CP Series In Studio ???? As A Studio Monitor Speaker
@sweetwater
@sweetwater 5 лет назад
Hello, Faraz! That's a great question. Studio Monitors and PA speakers are designed and voiced for two very different jobs. I would not recommend using these for Studio applications, but give us a call and we can get you some great recommendations for Studio Monitors. Thanks for the interest! Let’s keep it real folks qsc was being clobbered by companies like alto especially with alto new 3 series alto has served me well ...qsc they were way too high for the average consumer they are trying to save their ass which is understandable ...so for the qsc lover who has always dreamed of showing up at a venue with those legendary initials on your equipment and you were on a budget this is the moment you have been waiting for...lol but I’m serious!
