I've got a few Qshave/Baili razors and they all work fine. My favorite is the 2000s adjustable. It's funny watching Van Der Hagen rebox them and sell them for 300% more.
Looks like a good shave! I'm still hooked on Sterlings Barber shop scent! Hahahaha it's been 6 months! I got 9 more soaps and slashes. Maybe today I'll use PAA' s tombstone. Oh and I'm hooked on my Gillette Heritage razor, I just made a stainless steel handle for it. My blade is Wilkinson Sword!
Sounds like a good aggressive razor. Maybe a different blade combo with it? I’d be curious to see if it performs the same as your shave today. Nice video.
I have the QShave Futur clone and on the higher settings it feels very aggressive to me. I haven't tried this one but it's interesting to see your experience with it. I wonder if it would have been more comfortable with a better blade. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching! I’m planning follow up videos on the razor using a different blade and also on the blade using a different razor. I’m interested in the futur clone as well, what do you think of it?
@@TheDaveShaves It's really a well made razor. I got it first and have since gotten a Merkur Futur and honestly, there's very little difference to me. I think the QShave is a little easier to use but have to assume the Merkur is the better built of the two and will ultimately last longer. Both of them are LARGE razors that are aggressive. I don't love the blade mechanism and find it cumbersome to load. As razors go, it feels a bit like a gimmick, as if the management team at Merkur told their engineers to do something purposefully unconventional just to be different. Maybe that's not the worst thing but I don't see it showing up in many SOTD posts. Thanks again for the video. Have a great week!
I think the issue is Quality Assurance. Q Shave seems to make good products, but there’s no uniformity in terms of quality. Some of the razors are made great others not so much.
