Here's a new idea for Tune of the Day! I'm going to start recording a "Québecclassic" each week, meaning some of the real fundamental, beloved tunes from Québec. I'm finding that I play most of these, but can't ever remember how they start or what their names are, so I'm hoping this will help my poor addled brain!
One last video from Lark Camp, these are all the folks in our French-Canadian session workshop playing the great Marcel Messervier tune, "Valse à Jessie". We got really addicted to this tune and played it every day, and also played a number of other Messervier tunes. I forgot what a great tune composer he was! He composed it for his god-daughter and it's still as sweet now as when he wrote it. Enjoy!
Support my 365 Tune of the Day Challenge on Patreon and you'll get background info, source recordings, full fiddle lessons, and sheet music on the tunes!
