I crocheted this duck and I was able to follow along very easily! I would not recommend this video for beginners. The first part of the duck that you start crocheting is the head of the duck and you need to insert the safety eyes before stuffing and moving onto the body unless you like to glue your eyes on, which I don’t recommend. For the beak, you just crochet around the whole thing. I also added a little tail onto my duck. I found this pattern very easy and my duck turned out so cute!! Thank you for this!!!

I don't normally leave negative feedback but I feel it must be said. Those praising this pattern have obviously not actually made it themselves following the pattern that's been given here. If you are new to amigurumi, you are going to struggle here. We are given no yarn type nor hook size, there is no oral explanation of anything, only written pattern given row by row, but some of it it non-standard notation that is unclear. You must watched her hands to see what you are meant to be doing, and herein lies the next problem- her speed. The stitches are so fast and the work is often obscured by her hands and it can be challenging to work out what she has done. Slowing the video playback doesn't help much as her speed is such that it's just reduced to a blurry image. These issues are magnified by the beak, which is not explained whatsoever and is very confusing. Once you understand your meant to work both sides of the starting chain like a round, it's fine. AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE EYES: Never, ever use glue on eyes for a toy to be given to a young child. Use proper toy safety eyes. You will need to insert them before stuffing and closing the head, so do keep it in mind. No instructions of any kind are given for sewing on the limbs and beak. Perhaps most disappointing though is the finished toy itself, which, if you follow the pattern precisely and have excellent stitch consistency, as I did and do, looks NOTHING like the thumbnail image. The body is far too big, the head and feet are far too small for it. It looks stupidly disproportionate and not in a cute way. It's so awful I haven't even bothered to make the glasses. Also she hasn't staggered or used invisible inc/dec for most of and it's super obvious. Very disappointed with this.

Love the pattern however it would be nice if you would let us know when and where to put the safety eyes in what Rose to put the bike on and whether or not to stuff the web feet

Thanks for the pattern, I just made it successfully. One important tip is that the head is the bigger part and the body is the smaller part. And make sure to add the safety eyes and stuffing as you crochet and before you fasten off.

This tutorial was very disappointing and so aggravating to me when i realized that i was never told where to put the eyes. I had finished all of the head and body before i realized this... I don't know what to do now. I obviously cannot put the snap on eyes now and gluing them on will be unsafe.. I hate the thought of having to tear it all out!! What should I do?
