Quad Bike Rhino Monitoring Update

Last year, during the midst of all the closures, Roxane, GCF Mounted Anti Poaching Units Coordinator, wrote for a conservation grant hosted by the @lazoo . The goal of the grant was to purchase a quad bike that would aid in the efforts of the long-standing GCF mounted unit, rhino monitoring, and other anti poaching operations.
The timing of the awarded grant couldn’t have come at a better time. As lodge stays froze last year, and budgets were cut everywhere, the quad bike became extremely important as it was more cost effective and versatile for all rhino conservation and protection uses on the reserve.
Special “thanks” to the Los Angeles Zoological Society for awarding us this grant so we could purchase the quad for rhino conservation and protection efforts.
