Make-up & Monsters Studios QUAD STILT SUIT TEST #6 July 16th, 2009, Near completion. The suit took approximately 10 days to complete. Total weight is right around 100lbs, most of which is in the lower legs, where the stilt rigs are. The back armor piece weighs about 7 lbs.

Lee Darin Jr , kong suit, aye? Take into consideration the weight of all that hair before you even begin. Our design on this suit kept the weight very low. The entire suit is less than 100lbs, most of the weight is in the rear leg stilts. The backpack alone weighs 7 pounds. See what has to be done, there needs to be three of these in a semi, parked at a place that has a lot of people, add roaring and shaking affects from the trailer, open the back and let some fog come out, send them out.

if you find that it looks like an animal that's okay if it's not a dinosaur too. constraints prevented fair stilt some form as a digitigrad otherwise it will fold

in answer to 2000dinky's question: "O.P.R.A.H." weighed in at just under 110lbs, most of that weight was in the stilts and arm extensions because of the metal parts. The back weighed less that 7lbs.

Oh. We removed the audio track to reduce the video size when posting it to the client. You aren't missing anything as the dialog was not that exciting anyway.

Great costume. All it needs is a little articulation in the neck, jaw, and hands and it'll be excellent.

We were trying to keep the overall weight of the suit between 75 and 100lbs. Most of the weight is in the stilts because of the metal structures. The head rig weighed in around 4 lbs, but is supported by the backpack structurewhich only weighed 7lbs. Later design attempts with jaw mechanisms and eye illumination added weight to the heads which, when extended beyond the performer's head, threw the center of gravity off and made the balancing a bit "clunky".

tease the wig like normal hair with hairspray or spray glue it looks better this way and less like a wig but nice job on the blending cuts on the prosthetic
