65 ton is light for a quad we do that with b doubles here in Australia.

24:40 I've had to detach a trailer before entering a gas station before because I knew there would be no way to get out. I just left the trailer on the road.

As a tractor unit accelerates it tries to pull out from under the trailers. 65 tonnes holding back the tractor all on the king pin. This is above the rear wheels and thus is a pivot point. The wheels want to go forward the fifth wheel wants to stay where it is owing to the massive weight. This causes the front wheels to lift. Look at tractor pulling the front wheels come up. The way to combat it is to have a longer chassis and move the 5th wheel as far forward as possible. Or have twin front steering axles as well.

65 tons of shock absorbers. Can't help but just laugh at that!

That was one hilarious video, between the ai second-guessing their decision to pull out "in front of a train", the gas station stop blocking the road and the trucks spawning in fences and trees, it was perfect!

You do know, long trucks are totally allowed to cut a bit of the roundabouts, right? You don't have to do the full circle, you can go more straight.

The light front end wouldn't be the weight pushing down on the fifth wheel, it'd be the 65T pulling back on the fifth wheel thereby pulling up on the front axle.

6:57 I don't know much about this game, but I'm a truck driver. That sounds like either a flat tire or bent rim. It's usually on the trailer because the driver does not notice it.

When you need fuel on a multi trailer train it's always going to cause a pile up so I simply stop on the road, decouple, drive into the gas station, fill up then drive out and recouple again.

Just wanted to say thank you for the ETS videos. You got me in to ETS2 and I love it, you're the champ of simulator RU-vid heaven . I'm just waiting for a better PC so I can play other sim games now. Great videos S!.

Now we just need the ability to pick them up individually, attach them to a train and off you go. Detach one by one and park side by side at the destination.

if the physics in the game are also a realistic sim, then i think it would depend on velocity and angle because your weight isnt inert when you are moving, it gets distributed across the entire load in different increments depending on different variables, like speed, turn angle, bumps in the road, wind, brake velocity and start up etc.

when i fill up with huge trailers i detach them on the road then fill up drive back to the road and reattach. i know its illegal but it gets the job done.

Here in Western Australia our quads are about 155 Tonne. 65 tonne is honestly mostly the weight of the trailers + mover.

when you see damage on the truck or trailer without hitting anything it means your trye has worn by one percent btw which map is this

As a professional driver, I indicate when a left lane opens up, to let road users behind me who can't see round that the road is opening up stops them thinking of rashly overtaking to gain 3 seconds. Besides I was always told on my test to always indicate even if no one is around, as it becomes habit forming and that means you'll start to do it without thinking. one less thing to worry about when there are so many bad drivers to contend with, and its good practice.

The reason the front wheels are lighter than usual is because the drive wheels are underneath the fifth wheel. The drive wheels apply a forward force to the bottom of the truck's chassis, while the loaded trailers (65 t) apply a rearward force to the top of the chassis. These forces cause the chassis to want to rotate upwards, lightening the load on the front axles. It's like if the top of a sailboat's mast hits a bridge. The bridge applies the rearward force against the top of the mast, and the energy carried by the hull at the bottom constitutes the forward force. As such, the entire boat wants to rotate and the front of the boat lifts up. Hopefully that makes sense.

It’s called the 5th wheel because it takes 1/5 of the weight of the load. (Of the first trailer, obvs).

I think from a physics point on view because you are pulling 65 tonnes from a point below the centre of mass of the cab it is creating a moment and causing the cab to rotate, lifting the front in the air and consequently the front wheels. Don’t quote me on that tho lol it could be completely wrong 😂
