Haven’t been the biggest fan but I definitely respect the craft. And I really liked the little bit I’ve heard from his latest work. He is making the music he wants to make and is curating his own sound. So much better than a lot of the “mainstream” cookie cutter people out there. Any recommendations?

The Schmeichel bar was reference to a Denmark game where there was a laser beam pointed during a penalty on the players, so “Like Schmeichel, put a laser beam on his head, Denmark his shot and im still not facing a pen” makes more sense
Is that all you picked up? You dont get the bit put a laser beam on his head (red dot) mark his shot with a spot (red dot again) and I'm still not facing a pen (penitentiary) like hes not getting a prison sentence for a shooting
If I had to be honest, I was waiting for this reason. This man is so underrated and talented at the same time. I'm glad more people are reacting to him and giving him the spot light

I think the Baby Keem part was supposed to be more like his flow on Durag Activity. Keem stayed in that lower register for that song, and it’s all I hear when I listen to that part. Also, you should definitely check out his older styles of rap videos! The one he released before this one is also incredibly good.

The “pair of docs (paradox)” bar came from his friend Riley, who does RU-vid as well with his channel, HiveMind TV. Quadeca appears on their channel quite a bit
Highly recommend you do more styles vids OR listen to his album from last year. Super creative and interesting and also includes features from the Sunday Service Choir and Danny Brown.
Hey Knox. If you enjoyed how Quadeca changed himself to be like each of the other rappers I think you would also enjoy Mac Lethal's 27 Styles of Rapping. He does something very similar.

Shot as in shooting, but also of course still a football scheme. "The spot" is the penalty spot, where a penalty is taken. I'm stil not facing a pen. This is a double/triple depending on how you view it. 1) I will not be shot at (facing a penalty), 2) I will not be punished (facing a penalty), 2/3) I will not be locked up (facing pen or penitentiary) Crazy.

The Schmeichel bar is a simile and a double. Kasper Schmeichel is the international goal keeper for his country of Denmark and son of famous Manchester United player Peter Schmeichel. In 2020 Denmark made it through to the semi-finals of the European Cup against England and during the game one of the England home fans began pointing a laser at Schmeichel's face to try distract/blind him. (The issue was resolved but the England Football Association was fined around $30K by UEFA for negligence in their security and the culprit was found and now banned for life from that stadium) Its a fucking great bar for a UK Drill impression, Literally something that Aitch or Stormzy would say 100%
The baby keem one is lower pitch because he is replicating orange soda (which he significantly raps in a lower tone than most of his other songs. He also says “I am 50 cent” several times in his other song moshpit which is what he was imitating)
