I lived on Quadra Island while in Foster Care when I was 14. I loved the island. I used to go to school and take the ferry across every day. Thanks for sharing. It brings back great memories.
look at those houses , what a wonderful place to live . Rain is nice , if it's not horizontal !- as Billy Connolley says " there is no such thing as bad weather - only Bad Clothing !" thats a great ferry , would make a nice model r/c .

@@LANDSEAAIRCANADA a floating jetty needed to accommodate the differences of tides height. It was my problem when planning a jetty in East Halmahera for the Nickel Company I was working. The tide difference is about 1,7 meters, will be too steep for the trucks entering ramdoor at the highest high tide and lowest low tide when a static jetty height built 50 centimeters above the highest high tide shoreline contour
