I returned to Los Angeles for my Abuelita's funeral and got some much needed time with my family. It felt great to be back in my hometown and heal our hearts with love and quality time with one another. I vlogged here and there and put a little visual diary together on my time back home. I hope you enjoy! Sorry about the video quality, my face tracking was off and I kept going out of focus... but I'm back and recharged and ready to start creating again.

So glad you had such a wonderful 3 weeks with your family Sam. The quality time is so important…just being in the moment with them is priceless! No need to vlog. We understand! Well done Sami. This vlog made me laugh and cry. It was a beautiful funeral services for mom. I love that Lauren still remembers how to roll a corn tortilla properly. Riv's falling off the couch was funny. I enjoyed our time together even though it was on a sad note. I'm trying to remember what we were laughing so hard about. I think it was that Victor was talking about how he broke his finger. I miss you Hammie ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I love Olvera Street! It was so fun to see it again. I haven’t been there since I was a teenager. And all the Mexican food you were eating I was so jealous of. I grew up in Southern California, also eating the best Mexican food other than in Mexico. Here in the Pacific Northwest, we have some good places, but it’s just not the same.

I find it too expensive to shop for clothes… although I recently stumbled upon EMMAUS in Aix which is where I will probably do most of my shopping.

So very sorry for your loss. My grandfather was also born on 29 September and even though he passed on 46 years ago, I do think of him often. You have such a nice family. Sounded really good too 😀 I can imagine how you miss them when you are in France. The doggies ❤❤❤

Take your time we're not the most important thing in a time like this. Also ... yeah clothing in France even second hand (even in a B.A.V) tend to be a bit of an investment. Still cool finds though.

@@SamFournier if you find places online (sometimes even on facebook) annoucing a B.A.V it stands for "Bourse Aux Vêtements" generally a bunch of people with too many clothes that rented a place to sell their excess clothes while also socializing a little bit. Don't hesitate to join. It generally cakes hot drinks and racks upon racks of second hand clothes that the people are selling. ;)
