I think the problem is that, as long as there's big money involved, the top players will almost always opt for the best characters to try and maximize their odds of winning. This means that even if all characters were 95% equal, the top players will still choose to play with the best characters, even if theyre only getting a very slight advantage. Thats why the smaller tournaments and events are way more entertaining. Its not as high stakes so the players are more likely to choose characters that are more fun instead of trying to eek out the slightest advantage.

But real talk I’m not really trynna see a top tier scorpion or sub 😂

Yea it’s just a safe option for players who spend money flying out to events and stuff like that. I doubt anyone actually enjoys playing raiden. Raiden is my favorite MK character next to smoke and I got bored of playing raiden after the first month the game was out 😂
