Love your work on all these reels. I think you've posted every reel I own. Had to wait 10 min. for the glove today.

That reel became popular because John Skinner uses it in his fluking videos. People start putting large aftermarket power crank handles on them and using them for drifting. I think it’s more of a bass reel and it gets overtaxed with the heavy sinkers sometimes needed for fluking.

Great point! I think the trend to low profile saltwater reels like the Lea has got everyone thinking that they are all the same and that they can use bass reels that way!

@@2ndChanceTackle I agree and one think they don't realize is Skinner does not over load his reel. He sticks with in spec of rod and weights. If you going offshore jigging saltwater spend more than 100 bones -_- get pen squal.

How'd you get the spool out? Also, -- gentle suggestion -- you could probably zoom in a bit when you're working on such a small reel. Thanks, Dennis!

I used some penetrating oil in the outer cap and let it sit. After awhile, it pull free as shown In the video

Too bad you weren’t able to come up with the bearing , otherwise you would have had a nice little Reel, it will be when you get the parts .
