Thank you for all the great information. I’ll be headed there in the near future. Just to clarify, you took a hot water kettle with you in your luggage?
Helping my soldier prepare for her first deployment there in a few months... 1. Is there a shower curtain provided in the restroom? 2. Pillows/blankets provided? Thank you for making these videos! Super helpful!
Hell yeah, Nancy! Good on you. Yes to shower curtain, pillows, blankets. The pillows/blankets are your typical Army standard issue. Top sheet, bottom sheet, raggedy pillow, fleece blanket. Worked just fine for me.
Feel free to reach back out to them or to your 1SG to let them know what day you’ll arrive. That’s a remarkably important data point for your unit in Korea.
Well, there’s no exceptions yet for those with the vaccine. The video captures the latest policies otherwise. I’m not sure what specifics you’re hinting at...
@@erinmcshane4859 thank you so much for your response. I’m currently serving in the Army National Guard as a 92Y. I’m hoping to get an AGR position in South Korea 🇰🇷 once I get my promotable status. I miss South Korea so much 😩
I am not sure, honestly. I saw one family of four with two small kids (3 yr old) that stayed in the quarantine barracks. Families used to be able to move into their housing and quarantine there, or stay in the lodge, not sure what the policies are now. I recommend joining the Camp Humphreys Spouse page and the Quarantine Support Page to find the most updated answer.
Same PCR pre-test requirement for vaccinated and non-vaccinated. Military base (if you are on orders) and CVS are still the best places to get that done. Vaccinated have an extremely abbreviated quarantine requirement. Did you have a specific question?
Search posts in the Quarantine Support Facebook page. You’re certainly not the first one to ask, the room next door to mine had a full supply delivered.
