It wasnt his fault the ref was too slow to do his job. Prescott was down with 9 seconds on the clock, the dallas team was ready with 5 seconds on the clock. They shouldnt have to lose because a ref wasted 5 seconds getting into position. All Prescott needs to so is put the ball down and wait. Its not up to him to find the ref or clear a path for the ref. If the ref placed it when prescott put it down, like he is supposed to, they get the play off easily.

There was enough time It was a risky call but there was 5 seconds when they lined up The ball was placed and ref placed it again using 3 more seconds Ball should have been handed to ref by Dak as soon as he went down He should have found him and gave him ball Lot of variables here and in the heat of game you can’t expect everything to go according to plan Blame whoever you want The Cowboys had no offense till the 4th quarter like they have done way too many times during the year. They put themselves in that position along with the 14 penalties that killed drives And lack of 3rd down efficiency will always lose a game. A little to late as usual. Unfortunate to have a good season and make the playoffs and waste it again. One person doesn’t lose a game, it takes everyone to win or to lose. Same reason Garoppolo didn’t win the game for the 49ers. The whole team did.

It was no doubt Dak’s fault but I was saying had the ref not reset the ball there would have been enough time for one more play. Never leave the game up to the refs, he should have got down quicker and handed ball to ref. It is what it is but that 1 second would have been enough to clock the ball. I’m over it and we did have a good season. On to the next.

He went down with 9 seconds to go. Thats plenty of time, always. It ran out because a ref didnt follow the play and was not in position to do his job. Cowboys were ready to go with 5 seconds left, its not their job to clear a path for the ref, its the refs job to be there fast, he wasnt. It was clearly a ref issue.

@@abraxas511 They didn’t hand the ball to the ref, they blocked his path to the ball (he had to crash through the Dallas o-line), and you can’t expect a 50-year old ref to keep up with a bang bang play from world class athletes. Especially considering it was a surprise QB sneak. All these factors just prove that everything has to go perfect in order to get the play set in time. You shouldn’t be banking your season on a play where everything needs to go perfect.

@@tigerbalm20000 The umpire is supposed to be positioned in the defensive zone, not the offensive zone. If he was in the proper position, he would have easily have placed the ball.

@@abraxas511 That's not correct. They stopped that practice a couple of seasons ago because refs were getting injured or disrupting too many plays being on the defensive side of the ball. Now all refs are positioned 5-10 yards behind the offense and are supposed to follow the play instead of being in the middle of them.
