You did a wonderful job putting this episode together, taking what some may deem a bad thing, and showing the true beauty that exists in adversity. Have a lovely day and thank you for doing what you do.
Thank you for watching and commenting. Yes there was high enough ground during this storm. I have not heard any stories so far of any major damage, other than a lot of wet gear and tents. Very thankful, could of been worse.
Beautiful and helpful video. It helps us to better understand the limitations of certain rigs out there and that sometimes you just have to wait it out until the mud dries up a little.
Thank you for watching and commenting. Yes I totally agree. We made sure we had enough supplies in case we needed to stay put for a few days. Luckily it all dried up fairly fast, but that is now always the case I am told.
Thank you for watching and commenting. There is actually quite a few tents out here. Different types of them too. Your regular camping tents, springbar tents, teepees and more. Hope you can make it out here one day. Happy holidays
@@Lady_Fernsthank you for the footage. I'm on my way there for my first RTR. I will be getting lots of advice now as to were to set up camp safely. Does this rain bring the snakes out of hibernation?
The desert is so beautiful when its dry, but takes on a whole nother life when the rains come. Q is such a magical place, thank you for the drone shots, sure is beautiful.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. The desert is beautiful. but wow does it all pop once the dust has been rinsed off it and the vegetation gets a good drink of water. Very beautiful indeed.
It's beautiful!! I understand dangerous and scary when it's happening. Much needed rain. Hope we'll get a super bloom from all this rain. Thanks for sharing. New sub. Here. 😊
Thank you for watching and commenting. We would love to See a super bloom in the spring. Last year it was pretty amazing in the desert at spring time. Welcome to our channel 😃
Beautiful. Looks like Creator and Grandfather Sky blessed Mother Earth. Can just imagine Coyote pups playing in the wash getting all crazy and muddy..lol.. ✌️ Wheelchair John in Idaho
Thank you for watching and commenting. Yes the desert was blessed with rain. You paint an amazing picture of the coyote pup playing in the mud. They are out here, hear them most nights as the sun sets
Thank you for watching and commenting. We are happy you enjoyed the video. The washes sure did look like rivers for a day or two. And then the disappeared again
Thank you for watching and commenting. The desert definitely looked extra green and lush after that rainfall. Felt very lucky to of been able to capture that moment in time
The desert plants and critters sometimes go years without any water. It must be a real pleasure to be in the area to experience the big "wake up" that must be going on among the native flora and fauna just now.
Beautiful footage of the area. There’s nothing like desert rain. It’s one of the most peaceful & calming experiences. Subscribed because of this video. Lived in the desert for years, and am ready to get back to it.
Thank you for watching and commenting. Welcome to our channel 😃. So happy are enjoying it. The desert rain is very unique and beautiful for sure. And bring such life to the desert. I hope one day you can return to the desert 🌵
Well done! This video is lovely and interesting and actually super helpful because it REALLY shows how close is “too close” to be camping by the wash. Note to self: when there’s a “great spot” that nobody is camping in, there’s a reason! For Tyson Wash: park on the East side of Old Yuma Road and you should be ok. It’s amazing how this entire area went from bone dry to raging river in a matter of hours. I woke up to puddles around my vehicle, but thankfully no flowing water.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. Yes the washes are to be respected, I have learned that. I don't recall seeing anything like this last year. Happy to hear you were safe during this storm. Have a great season here in Q
Its interesting how much the water spreads out into multiple little streams. Ive never been in the desert and always pictured it as a single deep chasm. Thanks for posting the video. I'm glad that you were parked in a safe spot. Merry Christmas 🎅🎄🎁
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I am new to the desert as well, and also find it fascinating. All these little streams and washes all converge eventually to one big one. it was a surprise to see for me as well. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. The Quail babies took a few days after the rain but have retuned now in their normal numbers once again :)
Really beautiful filming of the area! It gave me a great perspective! Music is really relaxing! Thankyou! Subscribed. Sorry I ran out of exclamation points 😂
Nice video, thanks for capturing this unique event. It blows us away to see the size of these water flows in what normally are dry wash areas. We live in BC and always get to see high run off in the spring for our rivers and creeks, but when we're in Arizona, we've never experienced a flood watch and full water flowing wash areas. Very cool to see mother nature's power. Thanks again for sharing your experience. Happy adventures ahead! Tom & Suzanne
Thank you for watching and commenting. I am originally form BC as well. Do you winter in Arizona? It was a unique experience for sure. Its amazing how differently different types of soil absorb rainfall or should I say don't rapidly absorb the rainfall.
Yes, we spent a bit of time in Arizona during the winter. Quartzite is on the bucket list, so it was interesting to watch your video. We assume the camping area you are staying at is part of the BLM lands? Yes, the soil there is not like BC where typically the moisture gets easily absorbed. Have a great stay! @@Lady_Ferns
Thank you for watching and commenting. We are happy you enjoyed the video. Yes I do think stargazing is possible here. I see the stars clearly most nights while I am here
Thank you for watching and commenting. Yes for sure! We need to learn more about the rules here when it comes to that. We used to golf pan in Canada and loved it
👍🏼for the FENDER tshirt! I say any northerner going to live in the desert will figure out what a wash is after the first hellacious rainstorm. Like learning about Riptide while visiting Padre Island
Thank you for watching and commenting. Yes as a notherner myself I am learning all about washes and what rain can do out here. Riptides are something else, definitely need to Be respected
Hey gray/black trim toy hauler!! Thank you for watching and commenting. Glad you enjoyed the video. We also have other drone footage videos of Tyson Wash, perhaps you are in those ones as well 😀. Happy new year
THat was a really great overview of what rain can do. I usually stay at the Skadden Wash area and I watch where I park .. you can bet I'll be even more careful the next time I'm out there. Thanks. 🤠
Wow!! This video is just so amazing I sent to all family asking about the storm. The music you put to the drone footage is so so perfect. We survived over here east of old Yuma Rd. We’ve always loved the TW LTVArea. The hiking is endless over near the wash and the mountains near by Merry Christmas 🎄 to you~
Thank you for watching and commenting. We are happy you enjoyed the video. Glad to hear you survived where you were at 😃 happy holidays and merry Christmas to you as well 🎄🌵
I’m in Yuma,AZ for 1st time ever and also had the warnings. Going to boondock in Glamas next week, then back to Yuma, then Quartzite at the end of January for 10 days or so. Looks like 🤩 fun:) & adventures. See yall soon!
I love the drone footage. It’s so beautiful you really captured the desert beauty that people rarely see on a sidenote I wish you could make another video of your neighbors and how they fared. I’m curious about the tent folks since I’m a tent camper
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. We are so happy you enjoyed the video. Oh that would of been a good idea. That opportunity has passed now I feel. But if we get another storm. I will keep that in mind. Thank you for the suggestion. Happy new year
we look pretty much the same over here in Globe all the washes are full flowing and dangerous . I live in my RV a bit below Roosevelt lake and acutely cancelled my xmas plans to be able to stay home with my cat .......just in case. But knowing fire season is just around the corner this added rain didnt hurt .
Thank you for watching and commenting. We are happy you enjoyed the video. I could see the Globe area being like this as well. Happy you survived the storm. The rain has many benefits for sure. Happy holidays
Thank you for watching and commenting. Wow you didn’t get a drop in Oatman. It seemed to of stayed south of that area. And then kind of just lingered in this area for quite a few hours. They say it will be a wetter winter this year. Maybe you will get your rain yet 😀
Thanks for watching and commenting. I was expecting worse too. But lots of the water receded and absorbed I. The morning hours. Would of been interesting to compare late at night to the next morning.
The first time I witnessed a downpour in the desert was 2014. You can hear the wash rushing toward you before you even see it. We were on high ground, but watching it rush by was amazing.
Cabool MO, we have been near there in 2022 a few times. Nice area! We tend to find ourselves in the OK, MO & AR area quite frequently. So you never know. I do hope you find your way to Quartzsite sometime. Even just once to experience it
Wow! Been struggling on deciding which direction to take and either buy a trailer to pull with my van or sell the van and move to Hawaii's big island. As a musician I know having a trailer and park in these remote places to create content would be fantastic and I also know the big island has been a dream but would have to literally start from total scratch there but the end result should be wonderful once I slowly get the music going once there but instant like the trailer. Plus, the trailer would give me incredible opportunity to buy more music and recording gear, something Hawaii would take a long time due to the cost of living. But again, Hawaii has so much to offer for my out door and ocean lifestyle and something a trailer on on a desert would not.
Thank you for watching and commenting. Yes I do find if quieter than La posa south. I like the quieter areas. :). Are you in Quartzsite again this winter?
Very cool video, drone footage is amazing. Did you find the Part 107 drone license test easy to pass? I'm wanting to use my drone footage in my RU-vid videos, but I haven't acquired the Part 107 license yet and the way that the FAA has been monitoring RU-vid videos to make sure people that are posting drone footage are in compliance, I'd rather not take the chance.. The only other way around it is to not monetize my videos.......
Thank you for watching and commenting. Lots of space left, you could be right. But I was not here at this time last year so I really can’t compare. But now they Christmas is over. It’s really starting to fill
