Moving only with sneaking might not be a good idea. For maps other than mars, the quasimorph meter goes up per turn, not per action. Meaning walking will increase the meter half as fast as sneaking. A more optimized movement would be walk for the most part, be sure to have 2 actions before peeking corners. Stop by doors or corners and switch to sneak for 1 turn to detect enemies.
Agreed it would be great if the game offered multiple save files for multiple characters. One can save their character from the save's folder, but that is a slight...annoyance. :)
The save file thing irks me. I believe it's because they are trying to eliminate player exploits, which is something devs often do nowadays. Sure, it's nice to remove the opportunity from players to play the game incorrectly, but I think when it comes at such a cost it needs to be balanced better. If not multiple save files, I'm sure they could setup multiple profiles.
While I like their game and passion overall; the save game issue may be a bit more complicated than what we realize. It may be integrated within their game files and may not be easy to sort. Where information is being saved in multiple files and hidden information is also being kept and updated on files and moving this data could be beyond their expertise. I would imagine their coders are just a few people and they had to make design choices which may not allow for multiple saves and is not easily solved.
While I'm for removing exploits, on single player games people should be able to play however the hell they want. If they want to make it easy and save scum, let them.
