Whether you like hearing Adam singing Queen's songs or not, I don't care. Look how happy they are to be on stage and playing. They just look so happy, and they're smiling, and I think Freddie would be smiling to see the band playing live and rocking on still.
Yes! I just tear up knowing how happy they are doing what they love. Remembering Freddie and keeping his memory going. I love that Adam has the range to do the music justice.
@@Tech-gv6qk well your wrong actually, martel was born with that voice, he actually said that before, and it turned out that it was really similar to Freddie', not because he wants to copy his voice
@@sesameseed5078 that's not coincidence i dont believe on that excuses. Maybe they sound a like but his technique is not possible to be exact to Friddies techniques
@@Tech-gv6qk well that's not an excuse made up by me, it might be made up, but not by me, it was said by Mark himself, so... If it was an excuse, it was made up by him
Apart from being an exceptional vocalist, Adam is confidently and unapologetically Adam. Just like Freddie was, darlings. This is a match made in heaven. Just look at the love and approval on Brian's and Roger's faces. I love everything about this.

Enough with the “Adam can never replace Freddie” nonsense. Freddie was an incredible talent but he’s gone and he’s not coming back. Adam is an incredible talent and he’s doing Queen and their fans right by getting up on that stage and absolutely bringing it. Rock on Adam and long live Queen.
A generation of people who might have never heard of Queen or Freddie Mercury will get to see and hear this awesome band and the music will live on through Adam. He is a star in his own right but this is an fantastic collaboration, Queen needed a larger than life, flamboyant star to carry on Freddie's legacy, allow them to perform again.
So we'll said. My Grandkids now know of Queen and Freddie Mercury- because of this collaboration. What makes it work so good is Adam Lambert KNOWS AND SAYS, "I'm not trying to be or replace Freddie. I'm just continuing his legacy and music. Seen them twice. Both times they did justice and gave all. You understand...'my darlin'?'
I have a question, did this show took place in Portugal? If that's the case, I'm just confused as to why there are so many Asians in the audience. If someone can clear up my confusion.
@@qwertyfied4921 They dont want a copy of Freddie if you know what I mean, it was meant to be a tribute show where Adam can does his own style and hes a better showman, Marc sounds too much like Freddie, they dont want Freddie, they want a tribute of him to rest in peace
I don't care what genre of music it is, but when I see a drummer sing and play drums at the same time, I just think that is one of the best things to watch.
Brian and Roger choose Freddie and now they choose Adam. They would never use an imitator in place of Freddie. In any event, Adam is not a replacement and he is one of the few who actually respect Freddie's legacy. "There is never going to be another, and I'm not replacing him. That's not what I'm doing. I'm trying to keep the memory alive and remind people how amazing he was without imitating him I'm trying to share with the audience how much he inspired me " Adam Lambert
Exactly NO ONE can be Freddie, and Adam doesn't want to replace Freddie he is singing to honor Freddie, and Adam does a bloody good job, and that's a lot coming from a Queen fan since 1974!
Freddie was a legend. Adam performs as Freddie would have approved decades after. Watch the band and realize how pleased they are with this performance. Freddie is SMILING
Adam will never remplace Freddie but seriously I couldn't have thought of anybody else to do the job as good as he does it! The personality plus the voice this king as everything!!
@@DJ-ne8eq aside from Mercury's VOICE??? 😂 Aside from his way of singing, inflexions, phrasing and a vague face similarity...??!! And from his mouvements on stage?! You're... funny. He hasn't done anything to me. His fans are trolls and toxic tho... Always infesting Adam Lambert and Queen videos. It's like their brains are dead...👀
@@rodelstv7438 Brian May and Roger Taylor are laughing out loud. They call Adam Lambert the Gift from God and a voice in a billion. Imitators don't impress them that much.
Alright, I prefer Marc Martel as an artist, I think he is better than Lambert, and he doesn't imitate Freddie, he just sounds like him. In his own band and original songs it still sounds like Freddie. But, I don't think he should be the front man. He doesn't have the same kind of stage presence as Freddie. Lambert is a little closer (still not close enough, but a little closer) and is still good in his own right.
Adam isn’t trying to replace Freddie, and lets remember that queen approached him after seeing him on American idol and it’s say Queen with Adam Lambert, not just Queen, I think Adam is Amazing and his voice is beyond fabulous
Well said. I wish more people will understand this. And Roger and Brian already said it, one of the many reasons why they love Adam is because Adam isn't trying to be Freddie. 💯💯
I thought so too, but from the moment he put this crown on his head, the message he gave was (now I'm the queen and I demand respect) This crown that Fred wore but then pointed to his audience showing that it was us who we deserved it.
Thank you Adam for keeping the spirit of the band alive, Queen is a rock band that deserves to be enjoyed until the end and Roger and Brian have the right to continue playing, they should not explain themselves to anyone
I am not an Adam Lambert fan, but I have to give the kid credit where it is due, he has the the impossible task of stepping into the role of front man for an iconic band who's lead singer was the greatest showman of our time, but Adam is doing a great job so far and has seemed to have found a level of comfort in singing Queen's songs, I hope they record new music together someday
Just curious why you aren't a fan if you admit he's talented and doing a great job in an incredibly difficult position? It's like me saying "I'm not a fan of this restaurant, but I have to say the atmosphere is great, the food is great, and the server's are friendly."
“Freddie would love and hate him, because Adam has a real gift from God,” May told Yahoo. “It’s a voice in a billion, nobody has that range, nobody that I’ve ever worked with, not just the range but the quality throughout the range. I’ve seen Adam develop just like I watched Freddie develop.” May waxed lyrical about how much he enjoyed playing live with the band’s new singer. “In no way does he imitate Freddie but he provides that piece of the jigsaw puzzle,” he said. “It’s stupendous, we would never be doing this now if it weren’t for Adam. “Sometimes I stop playing because I think ‘what did he just do?’ He’s so free with his interpretations and it’s just spine-chilling. The sound he makes and the way he interprets a song.” “There was something about Adam, this chemistry was instant and it was like we were already in a band with him,”
Totally agree. he is gifted but humble, super polite, calm, I saw him since beginning and he has a great attitude and charisma. Good or him, they found him.
”Roger and I have seem literally thousands of singers in ur lifetimes including some great ones auditioning for our We Will Rock You show, but we’ve never seen or heard anything like Adam Lambert. I always think that Freddie, with a wicked smile, would say something like, “I hate you, Madame Lambert.” because even Freddie would have been gobsmacked at this range and his ability to reinterpret these songs which the four of us originally created together.” (Classic Rock)
adam cant replace freddie, no one can. buT dAMNNN his vocals tho, give me goosebumps. but look at brian&roger , they're just happy on stage. love for those two ✌🏻
If the members of Queen are happy with Adam, then who the hell should have anything to say? He was the right person for the right time helping to introduce Queen to another generation. Adam sounded good on this. Very nice. He was simply Adam! Well done chaps!
The fans have the right to say something -(that's who!) While most fans don't mind sharing our icons with a new generation,we feel that its a pity that they will never know the unique experience of live performances of the original group! Those of us who have seen the original Queen have every right to cherish & share our opinion about today's group! Roger & Brian would be the first to agree! After all, if not for the fans ,most groups would not enjoy the celebrated fame they enjoy today! This does not negate the fact that Adam Lambert is terrific in his own right! It is important for the "new generation"to learn the importance of cherishing the past & tradition, while enjoying today's new form of the band as well! Without acknowledgement of the past there can be no true understanding of the characteristics of the present & future ! The simple fact is that as time marches on, the generations of today will want their icons to be acknowledged in the future, as well!, I do believe that while Brian & Roger are happy working with Adam Lambert, they know that the opinions of the fans are important because without the fans, they would not be where they are!
@@francinelima5963 I am in total agreement about understanding and appreciating Queen. If there is no past, there can't be no future. No shade towards any Queen fan past or present. I have loved Queen since I was a child! I wasn't talking about the past, as Queen's legacy lives in the hearts and minds of the fans. I was talking about a simply acknowledgement that this where they are now. It is very apparent that Queen works hard to preserve the bands legacy, but they were very successful to bring in Adam, which help bring in a whole new generation of Queen fans! While Adam is no Freddie, he can handle his spot as Adam, not a Freddie substitute. Just Adam! That is what I was talking about.
Thanks for replying, Well said! I simply meant that the happiness of the band is important, but, the fans count too!Actually I was just responding to your statement about who has the right to say anything! (of course, the fans do!) It's great that Adam Lambert is talented, in his own right! I do believe he is aware that no one can replace our dear Freddie ,who would agree that Adam Lambert is certainly talented enough to perform with Queen & on his own! His tribute to Freddie is outstanding! I agree with your reply 100 per cent ! It's great to "chat" with another genuine fan of this genuinely talented, iconic group!I am sure you will agree that Queen will always bring folks together: past, present & future! I wish you the best!
I like that Adam is himself, and not trying to be Freddie... I love how we still get to go to a Queen concert, even though it will never be the same without Freddie... The thing that bothers me is that the audience is doing the "Radio GaGa" hand-clap-above-head thing, with We Will Rock You, which is stomp stomp clap
This is how we did it at the concerts. when you're on the floor stomping is very hard. Watching Queen I don't think my hands ever went down. No, adam isn't freddie but he isn't teying to be!! I have seen Queen with Freddie and would love to see them with Adam
I feel he is playing a perfect tribute to Freddie by not trying to be like him, and making it his own. However, Adam (and the band) still keeping it true to who Queen really is.
If Brian May And Roger Tayler say he is good enough to tour with them as the new lead singer of Queen then he must be good. They would not tour around with a shit singer
How Adam is continuing the legacy of THE LEGEND is an amazing thing to see not everyone can do it. Being the part of still touring queen and singing their songs with them is like nobody could thought of like that. Freddie: Darling that is quite cool actually!
Exactly! How in the hell could they not crown Lambert? He was the best singer to come out of the history of idol. Hands down. That was the moment I knew for sure the show was rigged. And I was done.
He is so lucky that he was chosen to be in a Queen Band. But it doesnt mean that he takes after the style of Freddie. They both have powerful and unique voice. Let Adam do his bests. No comparison.
I really like this guy Adam. He is very humble, earthly guy, who knows how hard it is to sing immortal songs of the most immortal of them all singers, Freddie, but he sings with dignity and a looot of talent. I like how he sounds, acts and looks. Im sure Freddie is there smiling and the rest of the band surely look happy and ready to rock. Wish you all the best Adam, you are great!
Фредди не подражаем,он не повторим!Такой голос и такая харизма может возникнуть только однажды в истории человечества.Пройдут ещё десятки лет,но он будет всегда лучшим. Браво Фредди!Ты чемпион чемпионов!!!!!!
Adam Lambert is a bona fide, undisputed, straight-up rock star. He's not Freddie's replacement: Freddie exists on his own, but Adam has done some wonderful business over the last decade or so. Anything I say about him would be way too generous. Adam is beyond solid gold: he is fucking PLATINUM.
❤❤❤❤❤ he's a great singer and he can do a little bit different than the other ones that have actually sang in the Way he absolutely does it for sure he is a great guy and a great entertainment
@@papabearM3get lost lying hypocrite, fan of insignificant Marc the leech, the lying insipid wannabe who failed singing Christian music in Canada, failed mimicking Sir Elton John, Rob Halford and George Michael, Marc the pretender trying so hard to sound like Freddie and sashaying like a fool on stage. @@DidacticEditions is that your fantasy? Everyone is attracted to Adam Lambert so I can sort of understand... But it would be Freddie on all fours and somehow I think he's not Adam's taste for that sort of thing. He likes pretty boys.
Úžasné veci sa naozaj dejú. Skvelý koncert, skvelá hudba skvelí QUEENI, ,Skvelí BRIAN ROGER, ADAM, a všetci ostatní, ktorí nám všetkým fanúšikom umožnili zažiť takúto úžasnú SCHOU. SCHOU MUSÍ POKRAČOVAŤ. ❤❤❤
Freddie would have loved to have seen Adam Lambert perform his songs. Adam is a fabulous front man for Queen, he's not the same crowd player that Freddie was, but he's flamboyant and stylish with a great voice.
But, after marveling that he’s been performing with Queen for nine years he said, “I’m just like you: I’m a fan. He’s irreplaceable.” And yet, there he was, an incredible combination of insane vocal power and control and absolute rock star charisma. He has the sense of pomp and kitch and swagger as well as the vocal chops to fill in for Freddie Mercury, one of the greatest frontmen of all time (some might argue that he was the greatest). But from the moment the band took the stage, Lambert owned it; like Mercury, he’s able to front the band through hard rock jams like “Now I’m Here,” “The Show Must Go On,” “I Want It All” and “Tie Your Mother Down,” while also commanding the ballads like “Who Wants To Live Forever” and “Somebody To Love.” But humor was such an important part of Freddie Mercury, and Lambert gets it: when he sings “Bicycle Race” while reclining on a rotating motorcycle, when he fans himself while singing “Killer Queen” or dons a crown for “We Will Rock You” and “We Are The Champions,” you realize that he’s having as much fun with the gig as Freddie did. And it’s really difficult to imagine anyone else fronting the band at this point. (101 WRIF)
I was never a big Adam fan until now. No one can be Freddie and he does not try to be. Adam does however bring the same joy and passion to the stage. Freddie would give his approval. The sound the love its all there great job Adam
I f****** love Freddie Mercury with my whole heart and soul and guts and brains. And every part of me, he was spectacular.Or better than that Adam Lambert is also fantastic. There's no words unless you saw both of them in person makes me cry every time
I bet they could've been playing a track of Freddie singing and had Adam lip sync to it and some of you all would still be saying "THIS SOUNDS LIKE CRAP" just because you all hate Adam -.-
José Amaya Alvarado l f you not like Queen with Adam Lambert. Ok. No problem. Go to Adam Levine. Yes. He is real moron 5 band. Maybe then you will be very happy. Specialy his performance on superbowl 2019.
He's given queen an inspiration they have longed all these years since Freddie passed...to play again with THEIR own songs they've worked so yard to do...praise and kudos to you guys you deserve it 👏
Adam Lambert is second best to Freddie, no other singer can do the job. I am 87 years old, always loved Queen. Maybe the band can invite me to one of their concerts.
LOOK HE AIN’T GOING TO HEAVEN AND YOU KNOW WHY? CUZ EVEN IN THE QURAN AND IN THE BIBLE SAYS THAT GAYS CAN’T GO TO HEAVEN I DON’T KNOW HOW IT’S EXACTLY WRITEN
Wow! That’s awesome! I have followed him since his debut on American Idol. Not saying that to be special. Just saying it because he definitely is amazing and worthy to be admired. He gives me chills EVERY TIME! I just love that child! Lol! ❤
