In an interview for a documentary, Roger Taylor said he’d never heard this song sung that well. And if anyone knows.. it’s the person who helped write the song!! The documentary is called ‘The Show Must Go On’… it’s an excellent 60 minute watch!!! Thanks for reacting to this amazing performance.

There’s only one Freddie Mercury but dang!!!! I can’t imagine the band with anyone besides Adam Lambert for their newer concerts. He’s just phenomenal!! He doesn’t try to pretend he’s Freddie and pays such homage to him at the same time! ❤

I can't believe you've gone this long without hearing this. Fun fact - John Farnham was originally asked to become Queen's front man back in the day because Brian May loved his voice so much. But he had misgivings because of the issues he had during his time with the little river band. He definitely made the right choice, but I'd have loved to hear him sing with the band even once. Loved that Brian got to play on stage with him for you're the voice during the Australian Fire Fight concert. They had to wait as long as they did for the next great voice because Adam had to born and grow up first. Worth the wait I say xxx

I've heard this so many times and i still get goosebumps. Adam is beyond compare!! 👑 For the record, I personally think he sang it even better than this when they were on tour last year which sounds insanely crazy to say, but I don't think anyone else could sing it better. Only Adam. 🌟

You can’t really call that a cover because Adam is a member of that band now. Freddie originated the vocals of course but Adam isn’t and shouldn’t be called a cover artist to the music from a band he is a part of. Imho

Absolutely….. Queen wouldn’t be still rocking if it wasn’t for Adam. There is nobody better to do the position justice and Roger and Brian would admit that too …. He has breathed new life back into this amazing band. He truly is remarkable which is why he was chosen to be their front man! Adam you are the best ❤

I have always loved this song. The first time I heard it was in a video of The Tenors singing this (just watched it again - it is like a mini movie) featuring Lindsay Stirling. I didn’t realise it was a Queen song then. It has a lot of instrumental in it and I would like to know what you would think of it. But, I agree with you, Adam’s version is just gorgeous so thank you for reacting to it. 😘💕🇳🇿

I love this song with Freddie absolutely beautiful. With Adam it's perfection! Freddie wouldn't sing this night after night on tour become he had trouble with nodules in his throat. Adam sings this and The Show Must Go On night after night on tour. Freddie was one of the best singers ever but he unfortunately didn't have the voice training early in his career on how to sing and take care of your vocal chords plus he smoked. Adam trained with a vocal coach from his early teens and even had a year of opera training. He showed that when he sang the aria Nessun Dorma at the last Queen concerts in Italy.

Queen only ever sing Queen songs. Its from the Film Highlander. Queen wrote the film score. Brian said he had never heard it sung so well.

Not sure how much your comment warrants a small rant lol, but here goes: No, in my opinion, Fred could not sing it like that when he was alive, he simply did not have that kind of voice. And as far as I know, he is not alive now, so he cannot sing it either better or worse. What is with these posthumous comparisons? Even if Freddie really was the greatest singer of all time (which is far from the truth, he was great, but he was not the best ever), it's kind of ridiculuous to talk about what he would be doing right now. He'd be 80 years old, first of all. And even if you believe he would have been better in his prime compared to somebody else (which, again, I don't think is true for Adam Lambert, who is quite simply, a better singer), why do you feel the need to comment? I don't go around currently alive pianists' videos and write "Mozart would have done it better" , it makes no sense. They are doing their own interpretations to the best of their abilities. Plus, they are keeping the music alive. We can maybe compare people who are current to each other & say "I prefer this version or that interpretation" but even then, there's never going to be a consensus - it's all a matter of opinion. Rant over. Have a great day 😂

Actually it was written for the movie “Highlander” about immortality. Brian wrote this one but Queen wrote the whole soundtrack.

"Cover"... If he and his own band are performing a Queen song, it's a cover. If Queen, with or without additional people, are performing a Queen song, it isn't.
