I’m busy babysitting a gorgeous 10cm Ferdinandii plant I purchased from Italy to the UK in my house. I hope to pop him into a terracotta pot in my front garden (SE facing) late spring when it’s a little warmer. Excellent video on these two gorgeous Agave’s ❤️
I have about 6 in the ground here in South Texas. They survived the polar vortex unscathed. It dropped to 9 degrees farenheit! Here, we have the climate to grow all types of succulents, and a majority can grow in the ground.
There are several varieties of AVR available - some offset freely, some don’t at all. I usually see them rated for USDA zone 8, but they probably need perfect drainage/ soil/ sun to tolerate temps in the lower teens- and not for extended time periods
