He probably meant, either, "do you have a ghost writer" or "do you type up your diary instead of handwriting". When he stated "I think that's most important" I tend to think he was meaning it's important to handwrite a diary yourself as it's more personal and thought-provoking as you write.
I’m not British but even I felt that the world got a little bit darker when she died, there was just something about her that always made me smile whenever I saw her on TV. She will be missed.
ABSOLUTELY.. there isn’t another person I can say I respected like the QUEEN.. even ghandi killed his own wife by denying her medicine THEN TOOK THE MEDICINE WHEH HE GOT THE SAME ILLNESS.. The QUEEN WAS SPECIAL..
I have always been delighted to see her love of animals displayed on so many occasions. I have the sense she loved these animals so dearly because they didn’t see her as a queen, but as a friend.🐕🐶🐴🐎
Queen Elizabeth II also took one of her beloved corgi, named Susan on her honeymoon with Prince Phillip, her beloved husband. Now how cool is that? Unconditional Love time's two (2) on a HONEYMOON! 😀💙✌
What a remarkable lady. Who knew she was this witty... “Did you write it in your own hand?” The Queen: “ Why yes... yes of course! I can’t write any other way!” 🤣🤣💀💀
@@julielongthorp5848 I knew it was coming logically given her age and I am not a huge Royalist by any means but it has been very sad but I trust the UK to give her the send off she deserves.
Me too, it felt very strange. I was also very emotional when Prince Philip died. To get philosophical for a moment, is it because I lost my own grandparents early? My grandfathers I never knew, both grandmothers gone by the time I was 12. Maybe I mentally 'adopted' the Queen & Prince Philip instead.
She had a good sense of humor. My father literally bumped into her on a beach on an island on the west of Scotland. She was in wellies and her headscarf. Not in the least put out, they chatted for a bit. Only as she was walking away did my father realise.
@@charlescunningham5275 no if you send a letter theres is a high chance she will read it or at least skim it however she doesn't write the responses lol
Kamelhaj It's a pretty staggering record isn't it! I have lived about as long as Queen Victoria reigned and yet The Queen has reigned longer. I have known people who have lived and died and known no other monarch.
There has never been a day in my life where The Queen was not around. And now that she’s gone, for some reason, it feels almost empty. I know many people have their different views on her, some good, and some bad. But you have to admit, that being the reigning monarch for 70 years, not many of us lived a day without her as Queen. Until now. And it ultimately just feels strange. She really started deteriorating after Prince Philip passed, and I just hope that wherever she is now, that she is with him again. I’ll really miss her sassiness and humour!
I ultimately think that when you lose your life partner, you lose a part of yourself. So to Her Majesty, I truly think she was holding on to each day to the best of her abilities. I find it a bit poetic that she can now go be with him and smile together wherever she may be. She is now whole again.
I can absolutely echo your feeling of emptiness. I don’t even live in UK but am so used to seeing her around on media my whole entire life and never thought she would be gone one day… Now that she is, it feels so unreal. Truly miss her kind and beautiful soul especially her sassy sense of humour
I think she must have been very serious when she first became Queen, following her duty to her country and keeping with traditions. But being married to Phillip, meeting/befriending Jackie Kennedy and age has made her more relaxed.
Gotta say as an American, not only was she a beauty her entire life, she was very funny/charming as well, hadn't watched much on her over the years, had no idea her sense of humor was so great. R.I.P 🌹🇬🇧
I've never seen it but I have seen an accent expert video on it and there were quite a lot of differences. For example, it was toned down quite a lot. The Queen's accent is actually much stronger but for public appearances, she does pronounce things more modern.
I remember there’s a chef who used to cook for the royals (he’s on youtube now) and he shared a story of when he first met the queen in person. She was walking her corgi’s while he was out taking a stroll, and the corgi’s came running after him like they were going to attack him, and he screamed and ran away. He heard the queen laughing at him as he did. She certainly has a sense of humour
He tells it brilliantly on his youtube channel. Slapstick comedy style. Being chased is rightfully scarey to terrifying by a pack of dogs. Being the owner and seeing it? Cracking up laughing at a grown man hightailing it away from a bunch of furballs nipping at your heels giving chase would be funny if you knew they wont eat him alive. He forgave them and has a couple of stuffed corgi dogs as souvenirs on his show. He said he went out for a smoke break and they accidently met up. Nice fellow. Even the Queen remembered it and was still laughing over it.
A friend of mine was once a guard at Buckingham Palace. He guarded the interior grounds. One particularly dark night, he heard a noise which prompted him to step forward and ask: "Who goes there?" To which a rather gentle female voice replied: "One queen and 3 Corgis." 🤣😆🤣
@@jammy-44 I really think it is. My friend really was a guard and said the Queen often liked to take her corgis outside. She was known to have a wicked funny sense of humor ♥️😆♥️
My nan is 102, she has the same cheeky personality as her majesty, I sit there sometimes and I am baffled by the amount of occasions they have both seen, there is no doubt that Elizabeth was the perfect person for this job, she worked so hard in the background, there is so much that she has achieved! She’s not just some old rich lady ! Rest in peace !
long live her majesty. she touched the lives of people in over 100 countries and inspired women all over the world and families as well. may she be happily reunited with her husband, rest in peace Queen Elizabeth II.
No, she didn't. She touched no one. She inspired no one. There are 14 countries in the British Commonwealth, so stop with the "over 100 countries" nonsense. Her death means nothing to the MAJORITY of the earth's population. Life will continue as it always has whether she's here or not. She lived a fairly useless life with no political power to speak of. She couldn't even vote! She was a well-dressed, well-fed figurehead. The most that can be said about her is that she was Britain's figurative national granny. Big deal. Most people already have a granny.
The reason she hasn’t stepped down is because many years ago, she promised her country she would never back down and always be there for them as long as she lived, I don't remember it exactly haha
HAHAHAHAAHHA! Yo you're a pretty funny guy I must say. "A grandmother everyone wishes to have" Right... except my grandma truly DID something to help the people in need. What's the queen of England done? Sit on her ass, attend her 5,000 acre gardening and land all day? Too prestigious to be compared to others? What a load of Ludacris. People in England spend their money on her just to do that all day, and they think she is DOING something for the people. Well, at least she's just being cute. Real nice, eh?
@@cloud0927 Queen Elizabeth is a war veteran -- yet, because she has a title, and is well off, we should forget that, and she should go up to some random homeless guy and be like "You're the king" because some people aren't as well off as her.
I have never seen a President in my long life but my first trip across the pond I had the privilege of seeing the Queen for her 70th Birthday. What an honor!
We love the Queen so passionately, and we cannot imagine that she will not be around again. Rest in peace, our glorious Queen, mother of our dear nation and of the Commonwealth. The world will never forget your kindness, your endearing humanity and elegance, and your superior example of humility and service to mankind. You were the Queen of the world - the only true Queen!
A truly historical great woman from the Greatest Generation that lived through WW 2 and the Great Depression. I wept watching the old newsreel of her becoming Queen at such a young age and her speech saying she would serve the Commonwealth whether her life was long or short. We should all be grateful her life was long and well lived. I'm sure millions around the world wept for her.
For the James bond scene at the London Olympics she was originally supposed to look up immediately but she decided to keep him waiting!!! I love her so much!!!
@Russ Hawkins I heard that the Queen wanted to be in it for real, they wanted to make the video using a dummy but the Queen said it wouldn't look real so she volunteered ❤️❤️❤️❤️ and thanks God she did...
She said that because she knew him as a toddler. His father was also Prime Minister of Canada decades ago. Now she has meetings with Prime Minister Trudeau Junior.
You do know that Britain was the biggest pain in the ass for nazi Germany because they never serendered I don't know what kind of propaganda poeple are listening to but
The things she saw and experienced in her 96 years on this earth. The changes of time she has experienced with the people, technology, and politics. She lived an incredible life.
She passed way to soon!. But if you have a challenging life like the it will take it’s toll. We have the knowledge now for living longer but need to use it. How chuffed her Majesty with the horses!!!! Brilliant!!! I would be be too, if I had breed and produced such stallions. She will always be in our heart’s! Miss her❤
@@crazyspeople7413 Too soon?! She was 96! "We have the knowledge now for living longer"? You wrote this like four months after she died. I'm pretty sure there was no great technological development in making humans live longer in four months lol

For those who don't know, the first clip is of the Queen meeting Martin Mcguinnes, former head of the Provisional IRA, who killed her uncle Lord Mountbatten and plotted to kill the Queen herself... Her saying "I'm still alive" is much funnier in that context.
Ohhhh thanks for clarifying this & putting it into context! Edit: I just took a page out of the queens book for a situation I had going on and it was AWESOME!!!!!!! It would be too long of a story to type out all the details, but trust me, it was goood! Similar to not only this situation, but also when Trump visited Her Majesty & she wore a broach the OBAMA’s gave her KNOWING Trump HATES the OBAMAS (probably because the OBAMAS are….gee, what’s the word…. Patriots and NOT traitors to the U.S trying to pull of a coup d’etat! & destroy our democracy!) Thank you Queen Elizabeth II! 💜🙏🏻🕊🌈🌈
By God Queen Elizabeth was one very special lady. I love her sense of humour, and how she loved her pets. The best Queen this world has ever known. RIP beautiful lady 😥😭🙏🙏💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I truly adored Queen Elizabeth. Such grace, dignity, wit, devotion, strength, and humility. Happy to have Elizabeth as my middle name in honor of my British and Irish heritage. I miss her already. 💔🇬🇧👑
I didn't realise the Queen had such a great sense of humour. I have to say she had me laughing with her sharp response to the man who asked her if she wrote her diary in her own handwriting! 😂
Who else is here after hearing of her Majesty's passing? This woman had an amazing sense of humor! Rest In Peace and may you be with your Prince Phillip once again!
Our Queen was lovely and so dignified and gracious. So proud to have her for our Queen. R.I.P Ma'am, my tears of sadness is briefly blighted knowing you are now reunited with your strength and your stay. Love you Ma'am.
The part where she drops something and immediately bends down to get it. She could have just stood there and waited for someone to pick it up. I was so surprised to see that...amazing lady.
Can you imagine the patience she has had to have all these decades. Endless ceremonies and people to meet, but she’s always risen to the occasion. Not very many people could’ve done what she has.
@@jem2886 Not me. You have to always show diplomacy and tact, even when you think another high level decision-maker is an idiot who’s staunch about an idea that is diametrically opposed to yours. I also couldn’t stand being under the microscope every minute I’m out, with the press just waiting for a blunder to report or intentionally skewing the truth.
This was great ! She was a Queen, a woman, a wife and mother with a bold, knowing sense of humor and a wonderfilled sense of right. God bless this great Queen.

I always loved her natural smile when she laughed. She had a wicked sense of humour and a very dry wit. This video shows how full of life She was. I really do believe that she endured 70 years of service because she loved to meet people, see the commonwealth, experience diversity of culture and to be the beacon that we all needed her to be. In some ways we should be grateful for the abdication of Edward VIII, otherwise provenance might have passed her by and it would have been an enormous loss. Rest in peace ma'am, and thank you
I love how Prince Philip fixes the elevator in Buckingham Palace for the guest who is unable to use the staircase, when no one else in the whole castle can figure out how to fix it, I swear that man can do all!
Prince phillip was also way more down to earth than the queen. He did come from a royal family but i am fairly certain they were practically destitute so he did not grow up in the same luxurious environment like the queen. He HATED formalities and the royal protocols. He never understood why people made such a big deal of things. And he was so down to earth that he even used to pour drinks for his workers close with him and regulary engaged with conversation with them about even sensitive topics
@@stephenpaxman1208 that's a bit strong after all if you are British one does not know she is our queen and but for her family this world that you take for granted would not be as it is it's the royal families of the world esp Europe that gave us our world so please try to be not so unkind
@@3passionflower It is brilliant because Martin McGuinness was a member of the IRA back then. Do you not know that he was rumoured to be be responsible for the attack which killed hee cousin Lord Mountbatten?
She's hilarious. My favorite story is one where she was attending a garden luncheon with a group of women. A young woman's mobile began to ring. The young woman was frantic with embarrassment. Her Majesty said something to her like, "You'd better answer that, dear. It might be someone important."
She has an amazing sense of humour. One of her Protection Officers, Richard Griffin, was with her when two American tourists saw this old lady wearing a scarf, and asked HM if she had ever met the Queen. She just replied ‘well, I haven’t, but Dickie here meets her regularly’. They asked the Queen to take a photo of them with "Dickie" which she did, then he took one of them with her, still not telling them who she was. When they had gone, she turned to him and said she would love to be a fly on the wall when they showed people the photos back in the US, and someone pointed out she was the Queen. Pure class

My goodness, don't you know that royals have many secretaries and the queen has ladies in waiting as well. That is what he was asking her, if she dictated to a secretary or lady in waiting who then wrote it down. I believe that is how Victoria wrote her diary.
Jack D'Ripa on October 14th 1981 a teenager armed with a .22 rifle went to the fifth floor of a building in Dunedin New Zealand, during a visit by the Queen and Prince Philip. When the royals stepped out of their Rolls-Royce to greet thousands of well-wishers on the street, the gunman, Christopher John Lewis, a self described terrorist who was hiding in a toilet cubicle, trained his rifle on the Queen and fired. He missed.
