The Queens Piper played for 15 minutes below her window every morning to wake her up for the day. Today he played her home with "Sleep, Dearie, Sleep" It was perfect and haunting and lovely.

@@Rammy85 It was on the BBC version of the entire funeral (9-hour long video) and I don't know why but they (BBC) constantly have to make private every video from the funeral about 24 hours after. It's possible someone else saved it and reuploaded it on a different channel.

This just makes me cry. Its so hard to watch. Im not even Scottish or Irish. Just so sad. I lost my grandma too and the Queen's death reminded me of her. This brought back alot of sad memories. Prayers to royal family. Death is the hardest thing to ever face and deal with. Its just sad and sorrowful. Losing people we love in our lives.

Actually I was hoping they would show the Piper playing, while walking down the hallway of the church as Elizabeth was being lowered. That music was so beautiful & haunting at the same time. That's the part of the funeral I wish one of the news agencies posted. Having served in the Navy in Scotland back in the mid 70's that song they were playing brought a tear to my eye. 70 wonderful years of service to her country & to the world. R.I.P. Elizabeth II.

Some cannot stand bagpipes. They have never sat and listened to them from across a highland lake or downwind in a long windswept valley. There a a twinge, an inner grab on what once was and what might be, with long ago overtones. It even comes through in old ac DC ancient rockers. It's there, like a ghostly presence and a ghostly constant.

@Valhalla88888 yes 1603 was the union of the crowns but still separate countries until 1707 when Queen Anne enacted the union of the the parliaments thus creating the United kingdom of Great Britain. Queen Anne was the last Queen of England, the late Queen Elizabeth ll was Queen of the United kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and could claim Scots heritage through her mother's family so definitely wasn't an English Queen as @SNATCHYDBS stated in my original response
