"That guy" is Trip Khalaf, who was one of Queen's front of house sound engineers. I wonder if he was hearing what we think he's hearing. 😉

Marc was just on another level. Feel sorry for the others. I would have just packed the bags after hearing Marc lol. The judges knew from early on that it was Marx but still had to go through this whole process for some legitimacy.

I missed this all those years ago. The female singer was just open jawed in amazement. Probably thinking “what on earth can I do next to this guy”. Marc is amazing and for all queen fans just reminder of how incredible Freddie was.

I love how much of Freddies personality Marc adapts, when he struts around.

None at all. He says he JUST does the music. Of course, he also admits it's tough to sing Queen songs without moving around, so there's a certain amount of strutting around and such, but he never tries to look like Freddie or imitate his moves.

@Justa Channel, Shhhhh... That's Freddie's son. Just kidding, but there IS a rumor. That's Marc Martel who won and fronted Queen Extravaganza for a few years and now has his own tribute band, The Ultimate Queen Experience. Marc also did many of the vocals for the BoRap movie. Marc, we want DNA. We want it all, and we want it now!

@@ThatllShowEm Nah, I was wrong. Freddie and Mary were together until December 1976, and she was healthy enough to have children later in her life, so he was definitely still safe then. Roger and Brian say that Freddie adopted a partying, night-life lifestyle in 1977. In 1986, Freddie had Kaposi Sarcoma, a skin cancer that you can get after developing AIDS, under his eye, so he definitely had AIDS by then. HIV turns into AIDS after a couple of years, so it must've been around 1980-1982. We will never know for sure, unfortunately.

Not really, kind of hard to make out what was on his mind. But Marc has been enticed by other promoters. Big mistake for Queen to loose control of this talent.

Marc has fooled Roger a few times. And, Marc has mentioned, in interviews, looking over at Roger while he (Marc) was singing, and seeing tears in his eyes. Marc and Roger have a great relationship now. They've performed together a few times, and it always looks like Roger is "beaming" at Marc like a proud father.

I think that they most certainly made the right calls on their decisions. Michelle is cute and talented, but clearly in over her head beside of Marc. This will be a great show.

This group by far was the best. They seemed like they had been playing for years together. Marc is an obvious frontrunner for the gig. Michelle did well as backup vocals. If you watch Marc do Bohemian Rhapsody, it even further seals the deal. Zach killed it on the drums, Brian killed it on bass, they all killed it! I watched every part of every video they put out, and seeing the guys in the control room tapping to the beat, and even hearing Roger excitedly yell "YEAH" shows they enjoyed it also!

Marc by far is the vocalist. I've followed him throughout this and he's tops, no question in my opinion. I liked how he stood aside and let Michelle sing her part without interruption but she didn't extend him the same courtesy. It might have been allowed but it wasn't appropriate in my view. The band with them sounded great..better to me than the others so far. Best of luck to all involved.

Reguardless of what the result of this competition ends up being for Marc, I can only dream that a promoter can find a way and the money, to put Marc Martel on vocals with the original members of Queen and tour the rest of the world. Places like the UK and Australia would sell out in seconds at the thought of the kind of magic that Queen have left us wanting more of for more than 20years. MORE MORE MORE MORE.

Marc Martel can definitely make himself sound as close to Freddie as he can. This video and his vocals for the (lame) BohRap movie are proof. I think he opts for just singing naturally because I don't imagine forcing it feels very nice.

@AdamMethos 'A Winter's Tale' was the last song Freddie wrote & one of the last Freddie recorded. The band were at their second home in Montreux, Switzerland. Montreux is a beautiful place. According to Brian, Freddie wrote the lyrics and had the music all in his head, he used no instruments to compose the music. Called the guys and told them to meet him at the studio. He then told them what to play.
